Ac c ordingly, the v a lues of ISC a n d VOC ma rked on this module should be multipled by a factor of 1.25 when determining component voltage ratings, conductor ampacities, fuse size, and size of c ontrols c onn ec ted to the PV outp ut. 1. Mo unting w ith Bolts The mo dule must be atta c hed and supp orted by a t lea st four b olts throug h the indica ted m ou nting ho les, as sho wn in Figure 3. If mod ule c lam ps are used to sec ure the mo d ule, the torque o n the c lam p bo lt should b e a roun d 8–10 Nm. Four mod ule clam p s sho uld b e used a t least two on e a c h long fra me sid e. Depe nding on the loc al wind a nd snow load s, a d ditiona l mo d ule c lam p s ma y be req uired .

Grounding Introduction All the m od ules should b e g roun d -co nnec ted with the g roun d h oles of the mo d ules. Size o f ea rth and the eq uipm ent g rounding c onduc tor are in a cc orda nce with loc al requireme nts. Attac h the eq uipm ent g rounding c onduc tor to the mo dule fram e using the g rounding hole and hardw are provide d. The g ro und ing c lip a ssem b ly co nsists o f a slid er, ba se, a nd a 8-32 sc rew a nd he x nut. The sc rew is used to mo unt the ground ing c lip to the fram e of the solar mo d ule. The slider is used to hold the wire. The slid er fea tures a m ulti–d ime nsiona l c urved wire slot tha t p rovide s enha nc ed wire rete ntion. The b a se is used to terminate the w ire. The b a se fe a tures p ointed la nc es tha t p rovide four points of c onta c t to the frame for high relia bility and anti–rota tion o f the grounding c lip . The rem ova l slot a c c ep ts the tip o f a fla t–hea d sc rew d rive r wh ic h is used to d iseng a ge the slid er. When t he slid er is d iseng a ge d , the w ire c a n b e rem ove d , a nd the sc rew is expo sed for rem ova l.

Installation 

The g round ing c lip m ust b e p lac ed onto the frame so th a t the sc rew stra d d les a p re–drilled 4.09mm diameter hole.



The sc rew should b e tighte ned to a torque of 2.3 and 2.8 Nm.



The h ea d of the sc rew m ust b e flush with the b a se a nd the b a se m ust b e flush with the frame.



The hex nut m ust b e tight.

Wiring 

Please notice the correct cable connection polarity when installing the modules. If not connected properly, the bypass diode would be destroyed. For bypass diode, rated current of 15A and Maximum reversing voltage of 45V are chosen for Junction box. Ma xim um

Series fuse ra ting : 8A for GES-5Mxxx (xxx=170~200); 13A for GES-6Mxxx

(xxx=205~320) a nd G ES-6Pxxx (xxx=180~300). 

Modules are equipped with Multi-contact connector as electrical connections. Use the National Electric Code to determine system wiring size (refer to NEC clause 310), type and temperature rating of conductors to be connected to the module's connectors. Wiring connected to the module's wiring should be 1X4.0mm2 (minimum) and rated at 90℃ (minimum).



PV modules can be wired in series to increase voltage as shown in figure 7. In this case, the maximum open circuit voltage must not be greater than the specified maximum system volta ge . The volta ge is p rop ortiona l to the numb er of series.



PV mo d ules c a n b e w ired in pa ra llel to in inc rea se th e c urrent a s sho wn in figure 8. In c a se of parallel connection, please take proper measure to block the reverse current flow. Otherwise, the current may easily flow in a reverse direction.

Mod ules that are mo unted , flat (0° tilt angle) should b e c lea ned mo re o ften, as the y won ’ t "self clea n" a s effe c tively as mo d ules mo unted a t 15° or a g rea ter tilt. Onc e a year, c hec k the tightness of te rminal sc rew s and the ge neral cond ition of the wiring. Also, c hec k to b e sure th a t mo unting ha rdw a re is tight. Loo se b olts c ould result in a d a ma ge d mo d ule or a rra y.
