Solar Stratified Storage Unit GEO-TEC Solar Stratified Storage Unit Regusol X-DUO 15/25 Product description The GEO-TEC Solar Stratified Storage Unit is for loading a buffer storage unit in optimum fashion in two levels. This compact and entirely preassembled system is completely insulated, has a generously dimensioned plate-type heat exchanger, is prewired with a preset controller, enabling simple and fast installation and reliable initial start-up. Description: The handheld refractometer determines the frost-resistance of  water/propylene-glycol, water/ethylene-glycol mixtures and the density of water battery acid mixtures. The measuring range is 0°-50°C for glycols. The digital multimeter can be used to measure: direct current, alternating current, direct voltage, alternating voltage, resistance, temperature, positive diode voltage drop and hFE parameters for transistors and continuity. A pressure gauge is for determining the inlet pressure on the expansion tank. The measuring range is between 0-6 bar. The phase tester can be used to quickly check whether there is pertinent voltage contacting the control system or its relevant components. The pH-value test strips allow simple determining the pH-value of the solar liquid. The compass can be used to check the exact alignment.

The inspection stickers and note stickers remind the customer of when the next servicing of its collector system is due. Only regularly serviced collector systems can function in an optimum and satisfactory fashion for years. Warranty claims require that the collector system have been serviced.

System Control Modules System Controller SR III The SR III system controller impresses people with simple operation in spite of varied control possibilities. Schemes can be selected and additional multifunction controllers freely assigned. Flexible Solar Tubing Systems Product description: GEO-TEC Thermoflex Solar Tubing Systems consist of two

tubes glued to one another, and insulated high-grade steel corrugated tubes.  The insulation and sheathing are high-temperatureresistant and available in customised lengths. Simple separation of the twin tubes without damaging the protective foil or the insulation enable problem-free tubing of the solar collector system. The Easy Drill Screw-Connection Kit allows very simple screwed connections of the high-grade steel corrugated tube to the lines and fittings. The GEO-TEC Thermoflex tubing systems are provided with a black, tear-resistant outer sheathing. Available in lengths of: 10 m, 15 m, 20 m or 25 m. Customised lengths are possible up to 100 m, and will be supplied on request.

Our Terms and Conditions of Business below apply to all price quotes, contracts, deliveries and other performance. Any conditions by a Client differing from these, also including mere additional conditions, which we have not expressly approved in writing, shall be excluded, even if we have not expressly opposed such in the individual case.

1. Price quotes and acceptance of orders Our price quotations are subject to confirmation. Orders as well as any changes to orders placed with us shall be binding for the Buyer in all  cases,, irrespective cases irrespective of wheth whether er they are direct or via our sales representatives in the field. Orders and changes placed with us shall only become binding on our written confirmation of the order.

2. Prices All prices are ex works and, unless something else is agreed, are in without turnover tax (VAT), which shall be charged at the respective valid rate. All prices are current prices. For orders without an express price agreement, the prices for the day of delivery shall apply. We are entitled to make appropriate price increases if, after quoting a price, changes occur in the prices of raw materials or supplies, wages, salaries, freight or other public charges. Cash discounts, discounts and time allowed for payment shall require special agreement.

3. Delivery, passing of risk, shipping & packaging Deliveries are carried out ex our warehouse. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, shipping is carried out chargeable to and at the risk of the ordering party. Our deliveries shall be considered as carried out upon transfer to the Buyer, the haulage company or haulage contractor, or when notification is made of readiness for dispatch. Our deliveries are subject to correct deliveries on schedule by our front-end suppliers. Freight Frei ght costs as well as the costs of any insura insurance nce for shipping that might be requested by the Buyer shall be chargeable to the Buyer. The execution of any special loading or shipping rules set by Buyers shall  be carried out at the Buyer’s risk and expense. We shall be entitled to carry out partial performance to a reasonable extent. If in our opinion packaging is required, it shall be carried out in the manner usual in the trade always at the Buyer’s expense.

4. Time periods for and dates of delivery  1. Delivery dates specified should only be considered as approximate. Any agreement of fixed deadlines shall require our express confirmation to be effective. When a fixed deadline had been agreed, then the time period for delivery shall begin with the date of acceptance of the order, but not before complete clarification of all  the details for its execution. If the Buyer is obliged to obtain any documents, specifications, permits or clearances, or to furnish a down payment, then the time period for delivery shall not begin until such obligations have been met. 2. If we are not able to deliver within the contractually agreed period of time, then, having set a grace period for us in writing of at least 14 days that threa threatens tens refusal, refusal, the Buyer may withdraw from the

contract subject to the provision provision in Para. 3. The Client shall shall only be entitled to claims for compensation in cases of damages due to delay or non-performance if the delivery has been delayed due to gross fault on the part of the contractor, a properly constituted agent or one of our managing salaried employees. 3. Any unforeseen circumstances, for which we are not responsible, such as force majeure, war, uprisings, lock-ins or lock-outs, strikes and lock-outs, difficulties procuring materials, operational interruptions, energy shortages, lack of means of transport and similar circumstances (also if such occur at front-end suppliers’) shall extend the delivery period commensurately, this being by at least the duration of the hindrance if such hinders us from meeting our commitments mitme nts on time. If it is fores foreseeabl eeablee that a delay in delivery will  last longer than two months, then both parties shall be entitled to withdraw. Buyers may not derive any claims for damages from an extension of the time period for delivery, even in cases of withdrawal. We shall also not be responsible for the aforementioned circumstances if they develop during a delay already existing. In important cases, we will notify ordering parties as soon as possible about the start and end of such hindrances.

5. Payment 1. Unless otherwise agreed, our invoices are due and payable strictly net within 14 days as of the invoice date without any deductions. Before old invoices already due and payable from earlier deliveries are paid, no deductions will be granted on new invoices. 2. Bills of exchange will only be accepted with a relevant agreement and even then (as also with cheques) only on account of performance. Discount charges and other costs shall be borne by the drawee and must be immediately reimbursed. We shall not be liable for timely su submi bmissi ssion on,, pr prote otests sts,, etc etc.. From the time when due and payable on, 1% in interest after due date will be charged per month begun. If this clause should be ineffective, interest after due date is agreed in the amount of 10 % p.A. 4. In case of default on payment, we charge banking debit interest unless the Client proves that our damages are lower than this flat rate. At least the agreed interest after due date, however, shall be owed also after the default occurs. The assertion of claims for damages caused by default that are actually higher shall not be ruled out. 5. If the Client goes into default on payment or acceptance, all outstanding invoices shall immediately immediately become due and payable. In case of non-compliance with payment obligations within the scope of the business relations or in case of a proven deterioration in the Client’s financial position, we shall be entitled to make any further work on the order as well as its delivery dependent on reasonable security or cash in advance. If our products have already been delivered, then we may demand immediate payment of the entire amount remaining regardless of the terms of payment agreed. This shall also apply if it should later emerge that the financial position had been substantially worse when the contract was concluded than we had assumed. If the security or advance payment are not provided within a reasonable time limit to be set by us, we shall be entitled to withdraw.

6. The assertion of rights of lien or retention and set-offs against counterclaims shall be inadmissible unless the counterclaims have been legally established or accepted by us. 7. Payments shall always be credited to the oldest outstanding invoice or account receivable. The Buyer will be charged with any expenses arising in connection with bank transfers or based on documentary collection and documentary credit for our deliveries in the Buyer’s country or the country of destination.

6. Reservation of title 1. All merchandise and products we deliver are delivered only under reservation of title and extended reservation of title. The merchandise shall remain our property until full payment is made (in cases of payment by cheques and/or bills of exchange, until they are cashed) for all debts arising from the business relations, including accessory claims and claims for damages. This shall also apply if all  or individual claims of ours are included in a current account, and the balance has been drawn and accepted. If a payment is made by a cheque/bill-of-exchange transaction (acceptor’s bill), the property shall not be transferred until the bill has been cashed without reservation. 2. The Client may neither pledge nor assign by way of security reserved merchandise (i.e. also merchandise that is still in our co-ownership after being connected, mixed or processed according to the following conditions). 3. If the re reser serve vedd merchandise is sold with third-party merchandise either in a processed or unprocessed condition, the receivables shall only be considered as assigned in the amount of the invoice value of the reserved merchandise delivered by us. The Client shall be authorised to collect the receivables assigned, doing so for us in a fiduciary capacity. This authorisation to collect may be revoked if the Buyer does not properly fulfil its payment obligations arising from the contract on which they are based. 7. Taking back merchandise In case merchandise is taken back that is subject to special agreements, no claim shall exist to the purchase price being paid back, but rather only to the delivery of replacement merchandise.

8. Make-and-hold orders Unless otherwise agreed for make-and-hold order, the merchandise must be completely called one year at the latest after being ordered. When one year is up we shall be entitled to charge for the merchandise, demanding its immediate payment. We shall furthermore be entitled to charge for the storage costs according to the rates in the haulage industry. The current price valid applicable on the date of delivery shall apply for make-and-hold orders.

9. Notices of defects, warranty & liability  1. The merchandise we deliver must be inspected on arrival without delay for proper quality, quality, specific performance and comple completeness teness.. Complaints must be made in writing. In cases of discernable defects, we must receive objections immediately after receipt of the merchandise. Defects which cannot be established with a proper commercial inspection must be asserted in writing within a time limit of three months after the ordering party receives the merchandise, with the right of recourse for defects being lost. We shall not take responsibility either for material defects caused by unsuited or improper storage, transport or manipulation, uses, incorrect installation or commissioning by the customer or third parties, tie s, usu usual al we wear ar,, fau faulty lty or ne negli gligen gentt ha handl ndling ing or for an anyy consequences of improper alterations or repair work carried out by the customer or third parties without our consent. The same shall  apply to defects that reduce the value or suitability of the merchandise only to an insignificant degree. We must in any event be given opportunity to ascertain defects given notification of. Merchandise objected to must be sent back to us immediately on request. Claims arising from defects shall be lost if t he customer does not fulfil these obligations or, without our approval, carries out alterations to merchandise already objected to. 2. In case of material defects, only reworking or replacements may be demanded. If reworking and/or replacement should fail, t he Client shall be entitled to demand a lowering of the purchase price (reduction) or cancellation of the purchase contract (nullification of  the sale).

3. Regardless of for what reason, we shall only be liable for grossly culpable behaviour by the Contractor itself, our executive bodies or our management employees. Any liability for slight negligence and all fault of vicarious agents shall be excluded. If there is some liability under our conditions, the t he compensation for damages may not exceed the loss incurred and the profit not realised, which the party having violated the contract, allowing for circumstances that it knew about or should have known about when the contract was concluded. 4. In cases of functional defects on collectors, for five years as of the issue date of the invoice from GEO-TEC we offer (free of charge ex works) replacement for materials which demonstrably have not met one of the requirements of the standard EN 12975. A function guarantee shall only be granted on collectors if all the main components of the collecto collectorr system (fastenin (fasteningg materials, pumping unit, frost protection, expansion tank, storage unit, control system and metal  cladding) are from GEO - TEC and verification is furnished both of  installation in technically correct fashion (in accordance with the state of the art) and regular maintenanc maintenancee by qualified personnel  personnel  (maintenance contract with a specialised company licensed to do so). A ten-year guarantee shall be granted for systems in Austria if  all the main components of the collector system (fastening materials, pumping unit, frost protection, expansion tank, stor age unit, control system and metal cladding) are from GEO - TEC and verification is furnished both of installation in technically correct fashion (in acc accord ordan ance ce wit withh the state of the art) an andd reg regula ularr maintenance by qualified personnel (maintenance contract with a specialised company licensed to do so). Any liability shall, however, be ruled out for damage due to mechanical strain or changes resulting from influences caused by weather. Slight colour deviations or spoiling of the surface which have no influence on the collector’s functioning shall also be excluded from the warranty. What is more, no guarantee shall be assumed for glass breakage. Liability shall be excluded for damage due to force majeure and malfunctions attributable to improper assembly or installation of our products. No liability shall be assumed for any consequential damage due to defects.

5. If, after unsuccessful subsequent performance, the customer wants to withdraw from the contract due to a defect of title or material defect, it shall not be entitled to any claims for damages besides this due to the defect. If, after unsuccessful subsequent performance, the customer wants compensation for damages, the merchandise shall remain with the customer if this can be reasonably expected of it. The compensation for damages shall be limited to the difference between the purchase price and the value of the defective thing. This shall not apply if we have fraudulently caused the breach of contract. For individuals in business, the warranty is one year as of delivery of the merchandise. This shall not apply if the customer does not notify us about the defect in good time. Only the manufacturer’s product description is agreed as always defining the qualities of the merchandise. No public statements, recommendations or advertising by the manufacturer (for the product and/or individual components components of it) shall constitute any additional  contractual specifications of the qualities of the merchandise. merchandise. If a delivery of products made by us cannot be made by the date agreed due to reasons for which we are not responsible, then parts already manufactured shall, at the Buyer’s expense and risk, be set aside in storage space that is roofed over and guarded. In such case, the warranty shall begin when the merchandise is put into storage. As payment for this storage of manufactured merchandise, we charge 1% of the total order amount for each month of storage begun. These storage costs shall b e due and payable at the end of  each month of storage. stor age. 10. Partial inoperativeness

The preconditions for liability by GEO-TEC Solartechnik GmbH are that:

In any individual clauses of these conditions should be or become inoperative, the remaining agreements shall nonetheless remain operative.

• The installation was carried out according to the installation instructions in the respective valid version using the pertinent installation materials from the GEO-TEC organisation.

11. Place of fulfilment and legal venue

• The assembly was carried out by an authorised specialised company (heating engineer or fitter). • GEO-TEC and/or its representatives have been provided the opportunity to inspect complaints on site immediately after any such defects arise. • There is certif ication of proper commissioning commissioning (properly filled-in acceptance certificate). • An annual examination and maintenance has been carried out by a specialised company licensed to do so. The warranties set up by GEO-TEC shall only apply vis-à-vis contracted companies, and respective parties to a contract shall be under obligation both to inform end users of this fact and, on request, to confirm such in writing.

Only the court for A-9800 Spittal/Drau Spitt al/Drau shall be competent competent for all present and future claims arising from the business relations with merchants who has been entered as a merchant in the commercial register, including claims based on bills of exchange and cheques. It is understood that Austrian law shall apply. The same legal venue shall apply if: the Client does not have a general legal venue domestically; it moves its residence or habitual residence abroad after concluding the contract; or its residence or habitual residence abroad is not known at the time an action is filed.

Titanium absorbers

Your partner for highly selective coatings In 1995 TiNOX GmbH was the first company to introduce to the market the newly developed, highly selective absorber coating for solar thermal collectors. This patented "blue" coating based on titanium and quartz set new performance standards and also provided an initial environmentally friendly alternative to the black chrome and black nickel coatings primarily in use back then. The TiNOX® titanium absorber coating is vaporised onto metal tape in a physical vacuum depositing (PVD) method, which it developed itself. Using an electron beam, titanium and quartz are vaporised in a vacuum chamber, which then react with nitrogen and oxygen to form TiNOX (titanium nitride oxide) and precipitate on the metal tape. The TiNOX® titanium absorber layer is abrasion-proof and can be processed into full-surface absorber panels and fins using all common joining methods (laser welding, plasma welding, ultrasound welding, soft soldering and reshaping). Its unique coat structure makes TiNOX® a highly selective absorber that has the following properties: N A high degree of absorption (low reflection) within the visible light range 95% absorption N

A low degree of emission (high reflection) within the thermal radiation range 5 % emission

Coating structure The base material used is a metal substrate with good reflection and thermal  conduction. A thin titanium carbide compound is used as an adhesion layer and diffusion barrier. The absorber coating consists of a titanium compound with oxygen and nitrogen. This patented titanium oxynitride compound gave TiNOX its name. There is also an additional anti-reflex coating and protective coating made of  quartz glass on the absorber layer. This minimisation of the surface reflection further optimises the absorption of solar radiation.

Nature and the Environment The components of the TiNOX coating are entirely safe for the human organism and the environment. TiNOX absorber coating is 100% recyclable. The metal in the absorber is entirely reusable.

Certified Performance and Long-term Stability  The outstanding properties of TiNOX are confirmed by test certificates from independent testing institutes, which applies to the optical parameters of the absorption coefficient α and emission coefficient ε as well as the temperatureresistance and climate stability. Guarantee of the performance stability of TiNOX absorbers:

To test the performance stability of selective absorber coatings, a testing method was developed in co-operation with various renowned research institutes. The so-called "Task X" Test (ISO draft proposal CD 12 952.2) simulates the influences of temperature and the environment which affect the selective coatings over many years of operation for the collector. The Task X Test guarantees at least 95% of the efficiency factor in new condition after a simulated period of use of 25 years.
