Ace - A pit dog of exceptional ability and skill, with more wins than a grand champion, over the best ADBA - American Dog Breeders Association; The American Pit Bull Terrier Registry since 1909. Part of the American Pit Bull Terriers heritage American Pit Bull Terrier - The American game bred fighting dog, bred from the original Bulldog and diverging original Bulldog variations, used for baiting, fighting, and hunting in England, Ireland, Scotland and Spain, and for similar purposes since ancient times. The American Pit Bull Terrier being the most effective fighting dog ever developed. The most versatile and obedient canine in the history of man and dogs. The greatest, separate and distinct breed of dog American Staffordshire Terrier - A separate show portion of the American Pit Bull Terrier, known as the AKC registered Staffordshire Terrier beginning 1936. American was later affixed to distinguish the difference between the Staffordshire Bull Terrier. The American Staffordshire Terrier has been bred along different lines than the American Pit Bull Terrier for purposes similar to all show breeds. They

have obtained outstanding show conformation. A one to one blood loss replacement, to expand blood volume and pull tissue into the blood stream Colostrum - A secretion of the mammary gland of the bitch following birth that acts as a purgative for the young and contains antibodies Conditioner - A person who conditions and shapes a pit dog for a pit contest Corky - Active and alert; lively and spirited Couplet - A device for a brace of dogs Couplings - The body between the withers and the hip bones, being long or short coupling Courtesy Scratch - To face the dogs in the pit and release the loser to see if he will attempt to cross the pit and fight, thereby testing gameness Cow Hocked - When the hocks turn inward or toward each other like a cows Crest - The arched portion of the back of the neck Cropping - To trim the ear leather and cause ears to stand erect Crown - The topskull; the highest part of the head Cryptorchid - A male dog with neither testicle visible Cull - The process of eliminating undesirable characteristics Culotte - The long hair on the back of the thighs Cur - Any dog which curs out, or any breed of dog except a game pit dog; an inferior dog Cur out - To quit from a lack of gameness Cushion - Fullness of upper lips Cutter - A term for the canine teeth taken from many years of use with gamecocks. Neither dogs or gamecocks have a cutting action. After the permanent canines cut through the gums, they are frequently examined for bite and condition Cystitis - A disease of the urinary tract which is characterized by infection and inflammation in the bladder __________________ Belive nothing you hear & half of what you see... Not sure where you got all this...but I disagree with this "definition"...Ace - A pit dog of exceptional ability and skill, with more wins than a grand champion, over the best An Ace is a dog that has it all...don't necessarily have to win "more" than a GR CH....

Just cant think where the point is, that might not be right but everything else is. The site mentions the breeds Blue Paul and Red Smut as extinct breeds from Scotland. While it is true both came from Scotland they were not breeds. These were actual dogs. Both were pit bulls (not called pit bulls then) and research will show both dogs in the pedigree of modern day pit bulls. There were bloodlines from these dogs much like the Colby, Hemphill bloodlines. Instead of being named after the people who developed the bloodlines they were named from the most famous dogs of the bloodline. At that time it wasn't unusual. Blue Pauls were usually a blue or blue brindle color and the Red Smuts were usually red dogs. (http://www.moloss.com/brd/ab/b010/) Many breeds have descended from the Molosser. That is out of the Glossery, definitions of terms used in one of historical books of the American Pit Bull Terrier. Interesting to know which one eh! Agree or not Ace under old definitions was the top dog of it's breed. To have it all it must have proved itself among other dogs. If that were not the case we could call any dog we thought had " It All". We commonly now place the title of Ace on a dog that wins at Pulling. It once took much more than that to be called an Ace. Otherwise who is deamed worthy of desiding what dog is the Ace with out proof of such! I agree with the givin definitions. An "Ace" is worthy of being entered into the history books.

PRODUCER OF RECORD The Producer of Record (POR) is a title which was set up to reflect the true nature of a dogs ability to produce. A great producer does one thing, and that is produce bulldogs consistently. It is the sole duty of the POR title to reflect the genetic ability of these bulldogs. These bulldogs are found and reflected upon in many ways, what the POR does, is unique. All aspect and accomplishments of their offspring, is weighed and then measured next to consistency. The POR system is very simple, and direct. All bulldogs will have their offspring's accomplishments listed in this fashion, with no exceptions. (during a show) A dog that curs............ -3.0 points A dog picked up game....... 1.0 point 1st win.................... 1.0 point 2nd win.................... 2.0 points 3rd win.................... 3.0 points 4th win.................... 4.0 points 5th win or more............ 5.0 points Example.... A dog who has won 2, and picked up game on its 3rd would receive 1.0 point for its 1st, 2.0 points for its 2nd, and 1.0 point for being picked up game. Total = 4 points for its sire and dam. (producing producers) Every dog that produces a POR, they are to receive 6.0 points. Example.... A dog has produced 2 POR dogs, they are to receive 12.0 points. OVERALL Each point will only account for 2 dogs, 1.0 point = 2 offspring. (if a dog has 20 points, they can have no more than 40 offspring. If a dog has 50 points, they can have no more than 100 offspring) Any dog who does not have enough points to account for its offspring, does not deserve the POR title. Example.... A bitch that has 10.0 points, and 20 or less offspring, she has reached the POR title. If the same bitch has 21 offspring and only 10.0 points, she is not POR. There is no difference in the scoring for males and females, all are held to the same standard, and must not exceed the points to offspring ratio.
