•EAC: 6 Alarm signals and 6 signals that are SW assignable for either Alarm or Control signals CAN bus interface . HDMI is the connector type used for the EAC interface •FSMF has a 48V input screw terminal connector on the front panel for power input of its own, if FPFD is not used. 6
Power connection to FSMF (when optional FPFD is not used) Installation of FSMF front panel DC interface port (without optional FPFD PDU installed) requires a dedicated fuse. The fuse size should be between 20 A and 30 A.
Integrated optional (FPFD) module Flexi Power Distribution Sub-Module (FPFD) is a highly integrated optional size-optimized power distribution unit (PDU) for System Module variant FSMF. It is installed in the top left slot of the System Module. FPFD provides four external -48 V DC outputs (fixed to 1100 W) for Flexi Modules (RF Module, RRH, or external System Module) or any standard 48 V DC device at the site, and one internal DC output to System Module itself via internal connector (MEC8).
FPFD has integrated basic Over Voltage Protection (OVP Type approval level with 2kV/1kV), EMC filtering and reverse polarity protection. It is IP65 rated. Flexi Power Distribution Sub-Module (FPFD) can be used for stacked and feederless configurations in the same way as earlier integrated Flexi PDUs.
FPFD interfaces The FPFD provides the following external interfaces: One -48 V DC input (4-25 mm2/4 AWG) Four external -48 V DC outputs (4-16 mm2/6 AWG screw terminals) One internal DC output to the System Module ON/OFF switches & status LEDs at the control panel
The control panel is located on the front panel of the Flexi Multiradio 10 BTS Power Distribution Sub-Module (FPFD). There are five LEDs for the corresponding output ports, and two push buttons for the ON/OFF functionality of the outputs.
Power connection to FPFD (FSMF powered via FPFD) When FPFD is in use, it feeds the FSMF core DC in port internally. In this case make sure that the FSMF front panel DC interface port is covered with IP seal and not used. The fuse size should be between 100 A and 125A if all 4 ports will be connected to 1100W .
Routing the FPFD power input cable The two FPFD DC input cables can be routed between FPFD and dummy unit or transmission card. If there is no space for both cables, one of them can be routed at the right side of FTIF card.
DC cable requirements for 80 W RF Modules The DC cable is not included in the 80 W RF Module delivery. 48 VDC power can be fed from a System Module or directly from an external power source If FXEB/FRGT is used with FSMC/D/E or FPFC/FPFD (30A PDU), then the rules of below table should apply. 472806A:FPCA DC cable 2xmultibeam cut off-open 2 m (dual cable) Only if low voltage in RFM DC input
