Description

Fred Kaps Color Change Here is Kaps’ Color Changing card for the finale. You have the two cards at the end. The face card is supposed to be the red card and the one in the back the black. But, unfortunately, in the photos, it shows it in reverse. Just practice the moves here and then adjust it to the routine when you come it. Hold the double card in the left hand as in Figure 1. With your right hand, approach the cards. (Figure 2)

With your right thumb, push back the top card back as in figures 3 and 4. Turn your body to the left slightly to hide the following moves. (The photos don’t show this).

With you right fingers, push the back card forward (See figures 5 and 6).

Continue to push that card forward as in figures 7 and 8.

Notice how the right thumb is not involved with any of these actions. Continue to slide the card forward until it clears the face card. (See figures 9 and 10). Be careful of the two cards talking. You can’t see it in the illustrations, but the forefinger anchors the card around until it now in front. Kind of like a pass. Now add this card to the face card as in figures 11, 12, and 13. Don’t rush to show the card yet, because we are not done. Move your body back front. All of this takes matters of moments, so it’s just a sway to the left and back front again.

With your left forefinger on top and your thumb at the back, clip the double card and lever it up as in figure 14. This frees up your right hand. With the right forefinger in front and the thumb in back, clip the card at the upper right hand portion of the face down card. (See figure 15). From there, turn the card face up as in figure 16. Then clip the corner in upper left hand side of the card with the fingers on top, and the thumb underneath. Turn this over so the audience can see the change (see figures 17 and 18). Notice in figure 18, the right thumb and forefinger in ready to flick the two cards as one. From that point, Kaps slammed the card down on the table in anger.
