Step1. SetIntention/Goal Decidewhatyouwant.Yourintentionisyourgoal.Thisshouldbestatedinthefirstperson, presenttense(asifitwerealreadytrue),reflectingwhatyouDOwantratherthanwhatyou DON’Twant.Example:“Iamhappyandcontent”isbetterthan“Iamnotdepressed.”Define thegoalinsensory-basedlanguage,(i.e.visual,auditory,andkinestheticlanguageorsymbols).
Step2. CheckforIntent Decidewhetheryoureallywantit,andwhattheramificationsmightbeinyourlifeifyouget it.Intentistheemotionalcomponentoftheprocess.Itrepresentsyourdesireand commitmenttoachievingyourgoal.IsitsomethingyouREALLYwantorjustagoodidea,as longasyoudon’thavetoworkveryhardorriskmuchtogetit? Askyourselfthesequestions:“Isitreallyworthwanting?Areyouemotionallyinvestedin gettingit?Whatsacrificesareyouwillingornotwillingtomakeinordertoachieveyour goal?”
Step3. CommunicateIntentiontotheSubconsciousMind Identifyameaningful“ritual”(activityorprocess)forcommunicationwiththesubconscious, suchasPSYCH-K,prayer,visualization,affirmations,religiousrite,visionquest,oneofthe numeroushealingmodalities,orspecialactivities.Whateveryougivemeaningandimportance toismorelikelytowork.Theritualwillvirtuallyalwaysworkifyoucancommunicatedirectly withthesubconsciousmind,allowingittoselecttheritualratherthanchoosingitconsciously, orhavingthefacilitatorchooseit.ThisisanimportantstepinPSYCH-K.Ifomitted,asisthe casewithmanywell-intentionedprocessesforpersonalchange,itmakestheoutcomemuch
lesscertain.Withoutdirectcommunicationwiththesubconsciousmindyouaresimplyguessing whichapproachwillworktomakethechangeyoudesire. Thisstepiscritical!Ifdoneproperly, itwillalignthesubconsciousmindwithyourconsciousgoal,turningmanifestationofyourgoals intoahabitratherthananeffort.
Step4. TakeAction Usingyour“intent”fromStep2,takeaction/stomanifestthepotentialavailablefromStep 3.Thisstepisanalogoustoopeninganapplicationprogramonyourpersonalcomputer.The poweroftheprogramismerelylatentpotentialuntilyouactivateit.Soitiswithnewly acquiredsubconsciousbeliefs.Yoursubconsciousmindwillsupport,ratherthansabotage,your consciouschoiceto“act”-ivatethenewpotential,howeveritstillrequiresyourconscious mind’schoicetotaketheactionsthatcreatetheresults.Forexample,exercisetobecome physicallyfit;orifyourgoalrequiresknowledgeyoudonotcurrentlypossess,readbooksor gettraininginthatarea.
