The proposal will briefly set out the literature as it relates to your question. (You should also write up a longer preliminary literature review, based on your reading and understanding) Hint: You will look for research studies in your field that directly address your topic or research question. Reviewing the literature and finalizing your research question is an iterative process. As you read more, you will learn about research gaps, refine your research area, and narrow your review of the literature. During this process you should identify: -
-
the research that has already been conducted in the field and its findings; research gaps, which are often detailed in the introduction and discussion sections; the methods other researchers have used; and Page 1 of 3
-
The datasets that authors use.
3.0 Project Methodology Describe the approach and methodologies used to address the problem. Normally, this includes, for example Design, Implementation, Testing and Evaluation. Expected outcomes or deliverables should be included. 4.0 User Requirements List the user requirement and also list any special hardware and software required to solve the problem statement. You need to include the expected project cost and budget. 5.0 Project Schedule Estimate the duration of your project, and identify order in which activities should be performed in Gantt chart format (if possible use MS Project). Make sure you fill in and print the resource column which identifies the team members assigned to complete the specific tasks. 6.0 Conclusion This concluding section should summarize the entire research effort. A sufficiently comprehensive overview should enable the intended audience to understand the entire study. At this point it is appropriate to reacquaint the reader with the conceptual framework, the design of the investigation, the methodology, and the possible results of the study. 7.0 References
