FORMAL AND INFORMAL COMPLAINT LETTERS (A) Formal Complaint

SITUATION: You ordered 3 photocopiers for your school.  Only one was delivered  You need these machines urgently  There is also a mistake on the invoice (what is it?)  When you called to speak to someone about it, no one could find a record of your order  

This is not the first time you’ve had problems like this Remember to include what action you want the other person to take in the formal complaint

Dear Sir/ Madam, I would like to make a complaint about the three photocopiers that I ordered on 31st October 2013 from your company. However, I only received one photocopier on 4th November 2013. It seems that there was a mistake on the invoice that reads ‘One Minolta Photocopier. To make matters worse, your clerk was a bit unhelpful when I called. I was simply passed from person to person. Above all, no one took responsibility to solve the problem. Our school really needs that photocopiers urgently. Taking everything into consideration, I would appreciate if you could deliver the rest of the photocopiers by the end of this week. I look forward to your reply. Sincerely, Nat (ASNAT RASHID)

You guess what, last week I ordered three photocopiers but they sent only one! Didn’t they check the invoice? Oh yes… that fellow wrote it wrongly, he wrote one instead of three. And another thing – this company should replace their rude clerk! We really need those photocopiers urgently. I need to register a complaint to the company. Got to go now. Hope to hear from you soon.
