Forensic Psychology

Forensic psychologists use the principals of psychology in court help judges, attorneys, and other legal professionals understand the psychological findings of a particular case. V They are used as witnesses in one of three areas: family court, civil court, and criminal court. Finally, social psychology teaches us that we tend to see a person's behavior as a function of her personality, while at the same time ignoring the influence of the situation on her behavior; in other words, we tend to commit the fundamental attribution error.
