Food processing industries industries are included in the list of priority  sector for bank lending in order to ensure easy availability of   credit to them. Excise duty on processed meat, fish and poultry products  reduced from 8% to nil. Excise Duty of 16% on dairy machinery has been be en fully  waived off. Use of foreign brand names is now freely permitted.
