FLUSHING KIT ON KONFORT SERIES 700 This document is aimed to describe the procedure to install and to set-up the Flushing Kit (article no. ACKF01) ACKF01 ) on Konfort 700 series units.
INTRODUCTION The purpose of the Flushing Kit is that of employ the refrigerant contained into the tank of the Konfort unit to perform the maintenance of the A/C systems, in order to flush and to clean up:
lubricant (PAG or POE oil);
UV additive;
detritus (metallic impurities and powders)
which are remaining into the hydraulic circuit (this clean action is absolutely necessary after a break of a main component of the A/C system, such the compressor). The flush of an A/C system (especially after a first component break) is very important, because:
the removal of stuck impurities from the inner part of the hydraulic circuit of the system avoids, after the replacement of the broken part, that in few time also the new part could break; many component manufacturers require a declaration of occurred flush of the A/C system before proceeding with the failed component replacement. This oblige is required for the recognition of the warranty on warranty on the replaced component (this is the reason for which we suggest to provide the Konfort unit also with a thermal printer, in order to perform a printout of the flushing report).
WHY USING THE REFRIGERANT FOR FLUSHING The main advantage of using refrigerant to flush and clean the i nner parts of the A/C system is is given by the fact that the refrigerant is characterized by excellent solubility properties against the residual lubricant inside the system (this lubricant usually sticks the metallic impurities into the deepest parts of the A/C system). Therefore, it ensures excellent cleaning performances and avoids the risk of damage of the inner components of the A/C system by other types of detergents. It guarantees a full compatibility compatibility with the A/C system, as it is the fluid with which the system works in normal conditions. TEXA Flushing Kit ensures to the end user the chance to be provided pr ovided with a flushing equipment which consists only in an accessory of the Konfort unit, thus not obliging him to buy specific tools for flushing and by guaranteeing excellent cleaning performances with low costs.

Image 4 – Connection of the red flushing hose to the input of the canister
The role of the black canister is that of improving the vacuum during the flushing process, thus allowing the refrigerant to reach the part which needs to be flushed with a higher force. The bigger diameter of the red flushing hose has the function of improving the high pressure refrigerant flow towards the part to be flushed.
