He studied at Ateneo municipal at he is part of the choir in the school At the of 18 he already exposed in opera Most of Abdon’s musical compositions are in Tagalog zarzuela First filipino who conduct an opera in the country he was appointed as a violin instructor violin in the Conservatory of Music of the University of the Philippines in 1920.

He then finished journalism at the University of the East and even worked as one for the Philippines Herald and Associated Press where he was an editor
