Flanged x Flanged DBB ‘Type V’ General Information The Double Block & Bleed “Type V” is fully approved to supply many of the worlds oil majors. With over 10,000 valves of this generic type manufactured by Alco Hi-Tek in service around the world. All threads are generated using our in-house CNC machines. 316 stainless steel handles and trim as standard to prevent

rusting. Materials of construction available are numerous with the standard grades ASTM A350 LF2 / A105, ASTM A182 F316 / F316L and ASTM A182 F51 being held for call off at our suppliers, this reduces the delivery times. Outlets and vents are all 1/2" NPT as standard, 1/4" and 3/4" are also available. Butt weld and socket weld outlets available.

Design Features      

Single piece shaped forging giving excellent grain flow  around the body / flange area for superior strength. Fully rod-able design. Various seat materials offering a temperature range of  -196  C to +230  C are available. Designed in accordance with ASME VIII, ANSI B16.34 /  B16.5, ANSI B31.3, EEMUA 182 and API 6D. All stem packings are fully retained to allow removal of  handle whilst maintaining seal. Supplied and manufactured in accordance with ISO 9001. °   °

All valves are tested at 1.1 times full seat pressure and  1.5 times full rated shell pressure with gas and or  hydraulic. All screwed connections are secured using our unique  cam locking system far stronger than conventional pins. Ball valves have 90   quick, light, positive smooth action. Anti-blow out stems for extra safety. Choice of end connections  Repair kits available to extend service / field life. 100% Hydro static and or gas tested. °   °

Arrangement Details of ‘Type V’ Application The "V" type DBB valve is most frequently used on high pressure static instrument, gauge, isolation, instrument, drain and take off point applications. This compact design can offer high savings on cost, space and weight over the more traditional hook up installation methods of such instruments. Pipeline stresses and vibration are also reduced dramatically

because of the single forged compact design. This range of valves are used by many organisations especially those involved in offshore oil and gas, chemical and petrochemical, filter manufacturing, refining, fiscal metering skids and process / power industry contractors due to the obvious benefits that the Alco Hi-Tek DBB range delivers.

Technical Information                

Fire-Safe to BS6755 Part 2 / API 6D. Anti static ball and stem design. 1/2" to 2" nominal bore sizes. ANSI 150 - API 10,000. Low emission packings are available. Cam locking on all vents and outlets for safety. Ball isolation up to 50mm bore. Lockable isolation or vents available.

           

6mm bore needle valve bleed. Low operating torque under pressure. Anti blow-out stems for safety. NACE MR-01-75 latest revision as standard (where  applicable). Fully replaceable soft parts to increase service life. Each valve is stamped with a unique identification  number giving full traceability.  © 1999
