How to guide him:

How to guide him:

Make sure he understands your wishes be fore he moves into dynamic action. It's hard to slow down a tornado once it's in move ment. He might not understand the impor tance of research and development as he puts more emphasis on action. Not being at tached to the results of the project (whether it succeeds or fails) is a lesson for him in de tachment. Encourage him to be doing his very best regardless.

Give him time to set up a system for the company. Whatever the department, he's your time management person. Perfect for a dispatcher job or a RN public health nurse who sets up the medical plan for team members to follow. Make sure that you have problem solved areas of emotional, political or logistic difficulties before the new system is implemented.

FRIENDLINESS LOW-SET EYEBROWS

HIGH-SET EYEBROWS

Employee at job:

Employee on the job:

Friendly, able to put others at ease quickly, approachable for clients.

High standards, not easily impressed by oth er people, socially selective, may be at times reserved with other employees. How to guide him: Quality control is his middle name. Let him use his white gloves on everything. He'll do it anyway, so you might as well value his gift for seeing flaws. Do not put him in social set tings. Let him work independently and re port back to you. Can be a bit aloof. Remind him that he is part ofa team lest others think him arrogant (instead of a loner).

How to guide him:

Send him out to work with difficult clients or to entertain clients from out of town. He's great with children, grandparents and can charm anyone. Best person to welcome new employees or listen to complaints and smooth things over for you. Great at PR or HR (all those R's). If he wants to become too familiar, be friendly but have firm emotional boundaries.

PHYSICAL ENDURANCE: ON THE JOE> FINE EYEBROWS

THICK EYEBROWS

Employee on theJob:

Employee on the job:

Sensitive, gentle with the feelings of others, may physically tire easily (needs breaks af ter 5-6 hours of intense work), tactful, sweet, can be high strung if tired.

He'll be there 7 AM to 7 PM, forceful in his opinions, has leadership qualities. How to guide him:

Remind him to go home to his famiJy at night. That is OK. Teach him to step down his emotional intensity with other team members. Not everything needs to be han dled at 60 M.P.H. Put him at the head of a project whenever possible. Other team members will automatically take direction from him. Unless he's arrogant or has his own agenda, and then be very careful.

How to guide him:

Wrong person to handle angry clients. (Will burn him out for days!) Has velvet gloves to handle clients and be charming. Do not put him to long work days. If you walk by his desk and he's playing solitaire on the com puter, ignore it. He's recharging his mental batteries (unless he's always playing solitaire!)
