OVERVIE W • Alarm Cable is very long, so cut it in to 2 • pieces 1st cable will be used for taking Alarms from Rectifier Smart Pack portsI/O to Krone • 2nd Cable with connector at one end will be used for taking fromAlarms Krone to BTS EAC port (2G Cabinet)

STEP 1: INSTALLATION

KRONE

• Install the Krone on the Rack and fix this rack in the rectifier as shown in the next cabinet • slide Use proper size bolts and washer and should be tighten • See the picture in next slide

STEP 2: ALARM CABLE INSTALLATION (BTS --Krone) • Connect the Alarm cable connector on EAC port at BTS Cabinet (2G • )Bring the other end of Alarm cable to Rectifier through the Roxtec • Punch the Alarm cable on the lower side of Krone according to Alarms sequence i.e. 1,2,3,4º (Left to the • Right) The alarm cable should be fixed properly with ties and route properly d • See picture in next slide

IMPORTAN T

All the rest of the alarms which are not used must be looped as shown above in the picture. There are total of 10 spaces in the Krone for the alarms Patching so to make a loop for Alarm# 11 (Genset Failure) & Alarm# 12 (Genset Low Fuel) we just twist the cables from the end to each other separately (Should be Soldered) & tape them nicely (Don’t Hang Them)

STEP 3: INSTALLATION ON THE RECTIFIER CHIPS •

Use the other piece of Alarm cable and punch it on the upper side Krone according to Alarms Sequence i.e. 1,2,3,4º (L to of R)

STEP 3 •

Route this cable properly with ties and fix it near the Rectifier I/O ports •

Connect Green & White Green (Alarm nu 1) with Pins 8 & 9 of CON1 (X1 )



Connect Grey & White Grey (Alarm nu 4) with Pins 9 & 10 of CON2 (X2 )



Connect Violet & White Violet (Alarm nu 3) with Pins 15 & 16 of CON2 (X2)



Connect Blue & White Blue (Alarm nu 2) with Pins 18 & 19 of CON2 (X2 )



Connect Light Blue & Light Blue Black (Alarm nu 7) with Pins 12 & 13 of CON2 (Only for Fan Cool Rectifier (X2) Cabinets)

HEAT ALARM • Air condition in the door has Red & Yellow cable for usually Condition Air • Alarm This cable is connected to Pins 3 & 4 on • CON1 Remove this cable from there punch it on & Krone Air Con Alarm cable

TESTING HEAT MANAGEMENT To test Heat Management Alarm cover the AC from outside with plastic ALARM so that no air can go through as shown below

STEP 4: SENSOR

The BTS Cabinet door sensor cable is very small so we have to extend it • Take 1 pair from CAT-5 Cable and solder it with the sensor wires in BTS (900 Cabinet) • Route this cable properly and fix it near Smart Pack I/O ports • Connect this pair with pins 3 & 4 of CON 2

STEP 4: SENSOR

1800 BTS CABINET (If Applicable)

The BTS Cabinet door sensor cable is very small so we have to extend it • Take 1 pair from CAT-5 Cable and solder it with the sensor wires in BTS (1800 Cabinet) • Route this cable properly and fix it near Smart Pack I/O ports • Connect this pair with pins 5 & 6 of CON 2

• Usually Rectifier door Sensor cables are already connected to CON 1 (X1) the • If it is not connected then connect Rectifier Door Alarm Cable pins 1 & 2 of CON 1 with (X1) Rectifier Door Sensor

SMARTPACK CONFIGURATION GUIDE(OUTDOOR RECTIFIER.)

REQUIRED MATERIAL • Eltek Power Suite (This is easily available in CD with present at manual sites) • PC • Cable for connection between PC and Smart pack (This cable also found at ) is sites

OVERVIE W • All the Alarm configuration is already done & saved as a Configuration file, except the configuration for Door (Rectifier & Alarm Alarm (Alarm# 1) which needs to be configured as BTS) follows • We will assign Alarm Output 2 for the output of Door Alarm No. (Alarm • 1) We will use Digital Inputs 1 (pins 1&2,CON1/X1), Digital Input 4 3&4,CON2/X2 ) & (pins 5&6 of CON2) for Rectifier BTS900 and (pins 1800 (if applicable) cabinet door BTS respectively.

STEP 1: SOFTWARE

STEP 2: CONNECTING TO SMART PACK • Connect the data cable to your PC and Smart Pack • Run the software from the Icon on your desktop • You will see the window which is next slide

Set Bits per Second to 38400 or 9600

Go to ƒ Alarm Group Configuration Tab˜

Check this box in front of Door Alarm. All other check boxes should be UnChecked If you don’t find any Door Alarm written under the Alarm Group column then you can edit one of these vacant Alarm Group and write “Door Alarm”

Uncheck all the Checked boxes under the column ƒAlarm Output2˜ Now try to find ƒdoor alarm˜ written in the column Alarm Group If it is not there then edit any Alarm Group which is free and write there ƒ Door Alarm˜ Check the Alarm Output2 in front of Door Alarm Press ƒApply˜ at the bottom After this Click the ƒ Input Handler˜ Tab



You will Click the ƒDoor open˜ link



If it is not there then just click the First Link and make the settings as shown in the next slide



Make sure ƒEnable˜ is checked



Give 3 sec Time delay



Change the description, put it ƒ Rectifier Door˜ and press Change



Go to the Alarm Group Scroll bar and select ƒDoor Alarm˜



Press OK



Now press the ProgInput 1.4 link



In the description write ƒ 900 Door˜ and press change



Other settings are same as in 2 slides back



Press OK



Now press the ProgInput 1.5 link



In the description write ƒ 1800 Door˜ and press change



Other settings are same as in 4 slides back



Press OK

TEMPERATURE ALARM SETTINGS FOR COOL RECTIFIER CABINET ONLY Check this box in front of temperature in alarm output4. All other check boxes should be UnChecked

If there is no temperature alarm written under the Alarm Group column then, edit one of these vacant Alarm Group and write “Temperature ”

TEMPERATURE ALARM FAN COOL RECTIFIER FOR ONLY Double click on the temperature in Power Explorer under Battery Bank

This window will appear after clicking the Temperature in the Power Explorer.

SPECIAL The pictures which INSTRUCTIONS are pasted in slides SHOULDN«be considered as model pictures, because this installation was done by anTEngineer without proper tools and equipment Connect the Alarm cable connector on EAC port at2G BTS Cabinet (Important) So who so ever will install the Alarm cable mustinstall it properly and with good quality Cables should be fixed and tied properly There should be no lose connections on the I/O pins The sensor cable which is to be extended must be soldered properly and covered properly with tape Patching on Krone SHOULDN«be lose T All the External Alarms which are not used must be looped properly & if there is no space of looping then just twist them together separately (Should be Soldered) & tape them nicely (Don«t Hang them)
