Lengths of Standard 12' wide Sheets may be reduced by adjusting for areas that can be cut from the same 12' wide section. Lengths must also be adjusted to account for widths greater than 12' wide. The total requirement can be further reduced by combining areas if the same type and color is used in all areas. Using the Living Room as an example: A) Since the main area is 16' wide, a 4' wide piece will need to be seamed to a 12' wide section for 16' B) Both the 4' LR Ext and the LR Closet can be cut from the excess from the 8' that is left in this section This results in a net reduction of 2' in length (+ 16' & - 14' = 2' Add) Irregularly shaped areas are measured by dividing the area into individual sections and calculating the square footage in each one
