Vacations around the world Vacation time is a very important part in the life of all people in the world. People from different cultures spend their vacations in different ways. The number of vacation days ranges from 10 to 30, being the Europeans such as Germans, French and Swede the luckiest for having 30 days of vacations; the Latin American countries with a big number of vacation days are Brazil, Panama and Peru with 25 days. The unluckiest country is China having just 10 days and being vacations not mandatory. Taking into account this aspect, people can decide what to do and how to enjoy their vacations. Let’s see what people from Germany, Brazil and China say about their future vacations. What are you going to do in your next vacations? The total time of vacations (in days or weeks), the budget, the number of member of the family, the places that we would like to visit, the means of transportation available and the distance to travel are very important aspects in deciding to do in vacations. 2. What do people like to do the most on their vacations? On vacations, people love travelling around the world, they enjoy visiting their relatives, and people really like to rest. 3. Which plan do you like the most and why I like spending my vacations with my family anywhere. My family and I love travelling to Valledupar (our native town), we really like visiting our relatives and enjoying nature, animals and the Guatapurí River because, we live in Bogota, a city very big, populated and contaminated and we like to go another different places.

C. Write a short paragraph about how is the vacation time in your country. Yureynis Michelle Jaimes Beltrán (Colombia) In my country, people have 15 days for vacations. In that time people can do very things to have fun. On vacations, people like to visit The Tayrona National Park, Taganga, Santa Marta, Cartagena and San Andrés Island, because those places have a beautiful beaches and a spectacular weather to enjoy the summer, I would like to visit them this year. Also, people can visit the historical downtown in Bogotá, the capital city or they would like to go to the Amazon jungle in the south of the country, I want to go it to enjoy an extreme vacations.
