Minesight, como tal, permite realizar un modelado geológico de Pit óptimo, con el fin de salvaguardar la inversión que un proyecto minero de gran escala requiere, que cumpla con los parámetros de seguridad para evitar accidentes y así salvaguardar la integridad del personal y de la maquinaria durante el proceso de extracción y explotación del yacimiento. Minesight es una herramienta de gran ayuda en la etapa de planificación, debido a que esta nos permite simular un diseo o más, buscando el tipo de diseo adecuado que nos permitirá llevar un proyecto optimo y rentable. !l soft"are Minesight #unto con su extensión Pit $ptimization, son una herramienta de gran exactitud que ayudan en el desarrollo de un proyecto de diseo, esto debido a que permite simular diferentes entornos y seleccionar el proyecto más rentable. !ste soft"are es importante en el planeamiento a mediano plazo, para traba#os con recursos ya que equipa a geólogos con herramientas %&' para una interpretación más amplia, mapeo geológico de frente, codificación de sonda#es y modelos, interpolación e informes de reservas.
