Environmental Problems in Panama

Deforestation In panama the deforestation of forests it's caused for two reasons. In first place, the population growth that demands the construction of urbanizations or residential where the new families can live. Also, the illegal logging. Panama has a diversity of plants, and a lot of ours trees have a valuable wood to make furniture. Solution: We need to implement new penalties against the people that insist in cutting ours trees out the national laws about logging. And for the population growth, we need to learn of others countries that have residential project more friendly with the environment, environment, and forbid the construction of residential residential in places when the wild life are in develop and have activity. Floods For a long time Panama city has fought against floods. Many people say that is the trash in the sewage system and others say that is the bad sewer system, but the reality is that we don’t have solution to this problem. Solution: my recommendation to solve this problem are: First, the Panamanian citizen need to learn not throw trash in the streets, rivers or any place that no have destined for this purpose. And the government need to pay more attention in the time of accept the construction of new edifices and residential, because, the blueprints don´t are designed with a good sewer system that can drain all of the rain´s water, out of them.

Plastic in the oceans Plastic is one of the materials that takes longer to deteriorate. For this reason our oceans have a lot of this floating above. This problematic kills hundreds of marine species every year Solution: to avoid that plastic arrive to the ocean, we need to reduce its use and recycle what we can and we can implements nets in the exits of aqueducts that can pick up all the trash and only allow the water outlet.

Contamination of water The water is the more important substance in our body, but every day the contamination by the industries it's much. This contamination we can see it mainly in the rivers of the country.

 

Solution: the government need to major his laws about where the industries can reject substances that are highly contaminants. And also implement plans to measure the level of contamination and strategies to can clean it. Sustainable development Unlike other countries, Panama has a low sustainable development, because we don't use a lot of renewable energy. And we don't create awareness about the world environmental problems problems that we and our child affront. Solution; before anything, we need to create awareness about this problem and encourage the citizen to use renewable energy at home, as solar energy or wind power, with this can reduce the consume national of energy. Also the authorities of energy and environment can work together to find new ways to generate energy more friendly with our mother earth.
