NOTE: It is recommended that the C/Bs C26639 FIRE EXT CGO BTTL 2A, 2B, 2C (L7) and, if applicable, C26601 FIRE EXT CGO BTL 2D, 2E, 2F (L12) on the P310 panel be temporarily opened while the airplane is being powered on after an airplane has been powered down for any extended duration (for longer than 24 hours). The circuit breakers should be restored after full airplane power is applied. Failure to do so may result in an inadvertent discharging of Cargo Fire Extinguisher Squib bottles. 1

If the aircraft electrical network is not energized perform a safety check to ensure proper position of controls, and switches before energizing the network. Energize the aircraft electrical network. (Ref. FCOM )
Review aircraft Technical Log and Cabin Log books. Action as necessary.
Check SMI-CRS for Out of Phase inspection requirements. Action as necessary. Carry out General Visual Inspection of Forward Fuselage Exterior from the ground for obvious damage, leakage, obstruction, security and condition i.a.w. AMM 05-41-00-210-801, including: Service panels, doors and Hatches Entry doors. Communication/Navigation Antennas Windows Fwd outflow valve door. Ports, vents, and drains. Radome: Latches positively locked, paint not deteriorated. Positive Press. Relief Valve: closed (bright coloured edge on valve not visible). Crew oxygen cylinder overboard discharge indicator: green disc in place. Pitot – Static ports, TAT and Ice Detector probes and AOA sensors: covers installed as required. Check and ensure that the Pitot Static Ports, TAT and Ice Detectors Probes and AOA Sensors are free of any obstruction/foreign object and that they are clean, including their surrounding areas. Exterior lights: cleanliness. Landscape camera window: clean with window cleaning agent. Panels and fairing for missing fasteners Check General Cleanliness ensuring No Dirty surfaces with grease, oil, or any unacceptable un-clean condition. If found dirty arrange to clean or raise DD for cleaning at the earliest opportunity. (Ref: AMP 53-802-00)

Carry out general visual inspection of Nose Landing Gear from the ground for obvious damage, leakage, obstruction, security and condition, including: Doors and wheel well area (as far as visible from ground with doors closed). Hydraulic lines and fittings.
Gear assembly: structural damage, evidence of leakage, all placards including red tyre servicing instructions/placards for legibility. Shock strut: correct extension, cleanliness. Wipe down exposed chrome with a clean cloth that is soaked in MIL-H-5606 fluid (Aeroshell fluid 4 or 41). Wheels: Corrosion, cracks, flaked or blistered paint, rim damage, loose/ damaged /or missing tie bolts & tie bolt nuts; ensure the hubcaps are not loose.(i.a.w. AMM 32-4503-700-801) Tires: Wear and damage. Check pressure, using a TPG, preferably when tires are cool; inflate as necessary with NITROGEN to the correct pressure i.a.w. AMM 12-15-03-610-801. a. i.a.w. AMM 12-15-03-780-802 (To check tire pressures prior to a two hour cool down of the tires). b. i.a.w. For INBD AND OUTBD AFT BRAKE ROD, installed on both LH and RH MLG: − Carry out GVI on the AFT BRAKE ROD spherical bearing outer race (made of Stainless Steel) for any defects, missing, and/or migration condition. In case of findings, replace the affected AFT BRAKE ROD ASSY before further flight. NOTE: The Spherical bearing is the one installed on the AFT BRAKE ROD to the AFT Brake Unit attachment. Fire Extinguishing Nozzles: for damage. NOTE: Make sure ALL fire extinguishing nozzles qty 8, for 777-200/-200LR and qty 10, for 777-300/-300ER are clear of any obstructions or adhesive tapes. Cargo Smoke Detector Sampling Ports: for damage. NOTE: Make sure ALL sampling ports are clear of any obstructions or adhesive tapes. Cargo nets and restraints: damage. WATER DRAINAGE FROM FUEL TANKS -
Drain water from all fuel tanks at sump drain valves as per AMM 12-11-02-680-801; After drainage ensure drain valves are properly seated and not leaking.
Note: Task to be performed if aircraft ground time exceeds 3.5 hours. -
Make a Technical Log Book entry that water drainage has been performed and record amount of water found in each tank.

Position Door Lock Control selector to AUTO. Enter keypad access code. Verify the door chime sounds and the AUTO UNLK light illuminates. Position Door Lock Control selector to DENY. Verify AUTO UNLK light extinguishes. Position Door Lock Control selector to “UNLKD” and release. Position Chime Module switch to OFF (guard extended). Verify LOCK FAIL light illuminates.
