YTD vs Periodic storage Following the embedded model concept, the consolidation on embedded model will also use the periodic storage type, which is different with standard model. In business rule, it will still support both periodic calculation and YTD calculation. But the data storage is different.

Create local hierarchy for global dimension  New option to create local hierarchy when click ‘Add’ or ‘Copy’ button in global dimension  When copy local hierarchy from global hierarchy which is time dependent, user must specify a key date if it’s time dependent hierarchy structure or specify a time range if entire hierarchy time dependent.  When copy local hierarchy from global hierarchy which is version dependent, user must specify a version as well.  External dimension node will be copied as text node

Create local hierarchy for Local Dimension  Creation of local hierarchy on local dimension is same as on global dimension.  Local master data can used when maintain local hierarchy structure.  Both global hierarchy and local hierarchy created on global dimension( from which local dimension is created) are visible in local dimension.
