Provide daily support to the CASS (Fleet Support Team), F/A-18 FST, E-2C FST, TPS Development, MDL team and all fleet personnel Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions for assembling electronics units, applying knowledge of electronic theory and components. Test electronics units, using standard test equipment, and analyze results to evaluate performance and determine need for adjustment. Perform preventative maintenance and calibration of equipment and systems. Assemble, test, and maintain circuitry or electronic components according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronics, using hand and tools. very skillful in using many type of calibration/measuring equipment including Power Supplies, Resistance Loads, Resolver/Synchro Standards, Modulation Analyzers, AC/DC Measurement Standards, Range Calibrators, Signal Generators, Microwave Converters, Function Generators, Micro processing Timer/Counters, Capacitor/Inductor Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Power Meters, Digital Multi Meters and More. Confer with engineers, customers and others to discuss existing or potential projects and products Performed detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction and installation standards and specifications Performed numerous software analysis with the VAX/VMS OS Prepared specifications for purchase of materials and equipment Estimated budgets, material, construction and labor costs Inspect completed installations and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards Maintained control of project expenditures to avoid cost overruns Worked with Team Leads to assure work meets business needs, applicable codes and standards of quality Adjust and replace defective or improperly functioning circuitry and electronics components, using hand tools and soldering iron. Write reports and record data on testing techniques, software, laboratory equipment, and specifications to assist engineers. Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with manufacturers and field representatives as necessary to procure replacement parts.

Maintain system logs and manuals to document testing and operation of equipment. Provide user applications and engineering support and recommendations for new and existing equipment with regard to installation, upgrades, modifications and enhancement. Troubleshoot and repair electronic components on a day-to-day basis by use of calibration and measurement equipment. Perform Micro Miniature repair on circuit boards down to component level by use of a soldering station.
