2. INSTALLATION
2.1 E-terraControl v3.4 E-terrabrowser should be installed prior to E-terracontrol in order to guarantee that the shortcuts are properly created. If there is a problem with WebFG Viewer shortcut -- please run "Create WebFG Viewer Shortcut" from the 'E-terraControl\samples\Fix WebFG' start menu. If there is a problem with WebFG Viewer configuration -- please run "Fix WebFG Viewer Configuration" from the ‘E_terracontrol\samples\Fix WebFG' start menu.
2.2 PACiS Communications Agency V3.22a Kit packaged with E-terracontrol v3.4, in the “\areva\e_terracontrol\bin” directory corresponds to PACiS Communications Agency V3.18. Do not install this version. Agency V3.22a has to be installed. The IEC61850 Communications Agency is used by the IEC61850Config and IEC61850Client applications. This section describes installation and configuration of the Communications Agency and MMS driver infrastructure. 2.2.1 Installing the communications Agency The Communications Agency may need to be installed separately. The beta installation kit provides the communications agency installation kit within the SMP\bin directory. -
Run Agency_3.22a.exe – this will install the IEC61850 Communications Agency software in a folder named PACiS. Install it in disk:\areva\pacis folder using the same disk as the e-terracontrol and follow the instructions, accepting the default values.
2.2.2 Installing SISCO MMS driver software The IEC61850 Communications Agency application requires installation of a SISCO provided OSI device driver. AREVA PACIS E-terraControl V3.4 & PACIS V4.2_A Installation & Configuration Guide - Issue A – 17/11/06

2.2.3 IEC61850 Client needs Anonymous RPCs with Service Pack 2
CONFIDENTIAL. All rights reserved. AREVA. Passing on and copying of this document, use and communication of its contents are not permitted without prior written authorization.
After installing Windows XP Service Pack 2, a previously working IEC61850Client may not be able to form a connection to the IEC61850 Communications Agency. In this case, the IEC61850Client.log file will report that the Open Session call failed. This failure is because, by default, XP SP2 restricts the use of Remote Procedure Calls (RPCs). You can force RPC to exhibit the same behaviour as earlier versions of Windows by setting the registry key to RPC_RESTRICT_REMOTE_CLIENT_NONE (0). HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\WindowsNT\RPC\Restric tRemoteClients Value Set to 0

3.2 IEC 61850 3.2.1 Agency application The IEC61850Client applications will automatically start and stop the Agency application as needed. When running, the Agency application will place a small icon on the lower right of the machine's console. Double clicking on this icon will cause the agency log to be displayed. A hard copy of the agency log is also created in the directory where the agency executable resides (drive:\areva\pacis\UCA2agency\agency.log).

Before using IEC61850Client to communicate with a new device, the device's model must be obtained using the IEC61850Config application. •
IEC61850 Server(s) tab
All server connected to the IEC61850 Client must be define in the IEC61850 Server tab. For each server you must define the name and the IP Address of the server. All information entered are automatically updated in the lean.cfg and agency.cfg file. Server name is equal to the ARName define in the IEC61850Device Data set in the configuration of scada device.

By default, the obtained XML file will go into a new IEC61850WORK sub-folder of the E-terracontrol installation location. The integrator will not be able to override this location if desired.

The E-terracontrol IEC61850 application provides E-terracontrol with an interface to IEC61850 compliant devices. The IEC61850 Client applications use the PACiS Agency application to communicate with the IEC61850 devices. The SCADA database objects that are required by the IEC61850 Client application include: •
A hierarchical collection of Data Sets that model the IEC61850 Client's communication subsystem and IEC61850 device model (from the IEC61850 Client itself to the IEC61850 bricks).
•
The measurement definitions and values associated to the Data Sets under the form of Data Item collections.
Figure 6 : IEC 61850 Client
On the left is a tree display of the IEC61850 devices modeled in the E-terracontrol SCADA Server (database). It displays the remote device and the bricks modeled under it. On the right are details of any item selected in the tree. Current data value, quality, and timestamps are displayed in the details.

3.3.1 Scada Server – Datasets and Dataitems SCADA datasets will be modeled in the SCADA database to define the following information to SCADA and the IEC61850Client application. •
IEC61850 client application information
•
IEC61850 device information (name and MMS ARName)
•
IEC61850 device logical devices and bricks to map into SCADA
In addition, a SCADA data source for the IEC61850Client application (type: device) needs to be modeled. The SCADA data source will reference a Dataset defining the IEC61850Client application. This is similar to CfeReader modeling.
The following SCADA dataset types need to be added to the E-terracontrol database to support this. •
IEC61850ClientDS: This SCADA dataset type will be assigned to the IEC61850Client Dataset.
•
IEC61850DeviceDS: This SCADA dataset type will be assigned to the IEC61850 device datasets.
•
IEC61850LogicalDeviceDS: This SCADA dataset type will be assigned to the IEC61850 logical device datasets.
•
IEC61850BrickDS: This SCADA dataset type will be assigned to the IEC61850 brick datasets.
•
IEC61850ControlDS: This SCADA dataset type will be assigned to the IEC61850 brick control datasets. This is used to model setpoints, Raise/Lower and control data items.
