e-Government Survey Questionnaires I am Rajendra Thapa, an e-Government student in the Graduate School of Governance at SungKyunKwan University. I am working as an under-secretary for the Government of Nepal. Before coming Korea for the study I was working in the Ministry of Science and Technology as a legal officer. I also worked for Nepalese judiciary almost for 14 years and Parliament secretariat for 6 years. In the course of fulfilling my thesis requirement for the Masters Degree, I am conducting this survey for a research study. The Title of the study is “Legal Challenges for e-Government Development in Developing Countries” and the study is going to be conducted as a requirement for Global MPA program in the SunKyunKwan University in Seoul, South Korea. The study is focused on the importance of legal environment as a factor for e-Government development in developing countries. Even though this study is a part of academic activity of the MPA program, this study will be useful for the successful implementation of e Government in any of the developing countries and it will be especially more beneficial to review the e government development programs in Nepal, because a case study will be conducted to assess the Nepalese e-Government law. Some recommendations will be shared with concerned authorities in order to make improvements in implementing e Government development programs. I choose you as one of the respondent to fill the survey questionnaire, to share your experience. This questionnaire has been designed to collect information from senior government officials, IT experts and some service level employees working in government service in developing countries. Your assistance in this research study is vital even though your participation in this interview is completely voluntary. Anything you fill in the survey questionnaire is confidential. Nothing you say will be personally attributed to you in any reports that result from this survey. All the reports will be written in a manner that no individual comment can be attributed to a particular person. The survey questionnaire will be used only for this study and will not be used for other purposes. I would like to request you to participate in the survey.
