Healing Meditation

Imagine yourself walking out a door and on to a path in the woods. Feel the sunshine warm your face. Feel the earth under your feet. Feel a quiet breeze blow through your hair. Take a deep breath and inhale the fresh air. Smell the evergreens and the flowers. Listen to the birds singing a song of joy and watch the butterflies flutter around you. Continue to walk down this path until you find a bluff. Walk over to the bluff and observe the gentle waters from the lake below. Slowly climb down the bluff and walk toward the beach. Feel the wet sand ooze between your toes and the water lap up around your ankles. Slowly enter the water. Feel the weightlessness of your body and the freedom the water gives you. Swim toward the middle of the lake. You may find some dolphins to play with along the way. When you reach the middle, take a look around you taking everything in with all of your senses. When you are ready, begin to slowly dive down toward the bottom of the lake. As you begin your descent, feel the water cleanse your body of all of its impurities. Allow each cell to be rejuvenated. As you dive further down feel your mind being cleansed. Observe all of your negative thoughts leaving and your mind coming to rest. Observe your moods becoming balanced and feel contentment. As you dive further down, allow the water to heal your spirit. Feel all of your fears being washed away and a sense of peace and tranquility taking hold. As you reach the bottom of the lake take some time to explore your surroundings. As you swim along, a Orca will appear to you. Observe the Orca: Does s/he have any special markings? How does s/he present himself? Can you communicate with him/her? Does the Orca have a message for you? Is it something that you recognize? Humbly ask your Higher Power to help you understand the message of the Orca, a gift to give you insight into what you need to know for today. When you are ready, ask the Orca what message they may have for you. Take some time to contemplate this message and thank your Higher Power and the Orca for the message, knowing that you can now return anytime you need to commune with the Orca. Slowly begin to rise toward the surface. You will see a beam of white light directing you to the surface. Bask in this light allowing its energy to enfold you. Again, as you reach the surface take a look around you. Be aware of your body, mind, and spirit. Slowly swim back to land. As you reach the beach, turn and observe the water, thanking your Higher Power and the Orca once again for the message and the healing. Begin to make your way back up the bluff and down the path. Allow all of 17

your senses to take in everything around you. As you reach home, walk through the door and go back to your chair. Slowly wiggle your fingers and toes and open your eyes. Namaste’
