Primarily people are healed under two headings. There are subdivisions of these. However, these are the two main methods. People get healed either by ::1. Their own faith in God’s Holy Word 2. Special manifestation of the gifts of the H oly Spirit We believe in both of them. Faith begins when the will of God is known to a man. I can’t produce a manifestation of the Holy Ghost. Only the Holy Ghost can give that to you. I will yield to the Holy Spirit and the gifts will be regulated by the Holy Spirit. But thank God I can teach you the Word. That’s why I said to the woman Let woman Let God heal you and then die if you want to”. to”. There are people who are standing in the healing line who ar e not ready to be healed. They don’t get healed because they are not ready to get healed. The problem is we don’t have time. I don’t have 6 months to stand by each one of them and tutor them! So I pass by and move on to pray for the next person. I use to tell my  people Give me the same opportunity that you give the doctor and I’ll get you healed every single time and it won’t cost you a penny. You penny. You go to the doctor and the doctor says to come back Wednesday and you go on Wednesday and the doctor says to come back on Sunday. When you go on Sunday, the doctor asks you to c ome back next Wednesday. Then come on Wednesday the doctor said come back on Sunday. If you can give the same opportunity that you give the doctor to come to church every Sunday and Wednesday, you cannot be sick. Why? I’m putting God’s medicine in you. The word of God in you carries His Life and it’s healing to all the sickness. Proverbs 4:20 – 22 says “My son attend to my words; incline thine ear to my sayings. Let them not depart from thine heart. For they are life unto those that find f ind them and healing to all their flesh. As I told you folks are healed healed either by their own faith in God’s word or by supernatural manifestation of the Holy Ghost. Thank God He does supernaturally manifest Himself. 1 Corinthians 12:7 says “But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal” The Holy Spirit manifests Himself in these ways 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9.

Don’t confuse the special faith with the faith that every Christian has. Every Christian has the saving faith, the general faith or Bible faith. This is different. For this faith you need special revelation  beyond what is written written in the Bible. This is a very special special gift. The 11th verse reads “But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man  severally as He He will.” Dividing will.” Dividing the manifestations to every man as the Holy Spirit wills. Smith Wigglesworth said when the gift of special faith is in manifestation you will know ahead of time what God is going to do. It’s like when I’m ministering somebody just came by me and put a cloak on me. I can feel it all over me. Most amazing things happen when that happens. One time there were 4 ladies on wheel chairs and this manifestation took place. I pointed at one particular lady there and told her “In the name of Jesus rise up and walk”  walk”  and she just took off of the wheelchair and started walking. The further she walked the better she walked and she finally walked perfectly. Now it was not her faith and it was not my faith either! I didn’t believe and she didn’t believe either. I can tell it because she said 3 days later to some of the workers “I still can’t believe it” so it” so it couldn’t have  been her faith. If it were my faith I could c ould have done the t he same sa me thing with the rest of the 3 women in wheelchairs. But I couldn’t so I stopped. I could lay hands on them in faith and I can teach them the word but I can’t produce a manifestation. In my first 12 years as a pastor only 2 or 3 were healed by the manifestations of the Holy Ghost and yet they were all healed. One time when I was shopping with my wife, a visitor came to us and said “There’s a lady over here. Come and pray for her and lay your hands on her. She is desperate. She’s in the last stages of terminal blood disease. But she believes that if you come and pray for her she’ll be healed.” So healed.” So my wife and I went. I laid my hand on her forehead and my wife laid her hands on her  body. This woman was born again a nd a Spirit filled fill ed Christian. So we prayed in faith. I only said few words and suddenly the word of the Lord came unto me. It’s like somebody standing beside me and the voice came to me from my right shoulder and said “Don’t pray! Don’t lay hands on her! Get up! Say to her ‘thus saith the Lord you are well arise and walk’” I’ve walk’” I’ve never had this experience before. So I did and she got healed immediately. I never taught the word to her. It was a manifestation of the Holy Ghost. Thank God He manifests himself. That’s why I teach faith to my people so that they don’t need to wait till the manifestation of the Holy Ghost. If the Holy Spirit wants to manifest Himself, that’s very well. Long time ago I was a Baptist  preacher. I got people healed as a Baptist. If you read my book Tongues you’ll read more about this. Then at that time I didn’t speak in tongues let alone didn’t believe in tongues. What you are not up on you are down on. That’s the nature of a man. When you can’t you don’t believe. It’s very easy to criticise the media. They don’t know what we are talking about. They come to our churches and get all kinds of impressions and repressions and obsessions and every kind of sessions. At that time although I didn’t speak in tongues I was saved. I laid hands on people and got people healed. But I was always down on tongues at that time. I criticised them for that. That doesn’t mean that I was a  bad person and neither does it mean t hat I won’t get to heaven if I die. I was saved. I was walking on the light ahead and when the light came I walked on in it and accepted the truth of tongues. But now then after I received the left foot of fellowship  fellowship  from among the Baptist and came over among the Pentecostals, I found out that in talking to Pentecostal full gospel pastors that I would say I was getting more people healed. It was like a 5:1 ratio. It all happened when I started speaking in tongues. I got out to myself the first day and I said to myself that I’m going to speak in tongues and I got on my knees and prayed in tongues for 5 hours and 45 minutes in tongues. At 5 hours and 30 minutes I hit a gusher. You know what a gusher is? That’s what a lot of folks don’t do. They don’t speak in tongues long enough to hit a gusher. Since being filled with the Holy Ghost I would begin to have these manifestations, but at the same time I kept on teaching people the word as I always did and I got more people healed by teaching them the word of God on the subject than those Pentecostals who waited for the special manifestations or the gifts of the Holy Spirit. I got married on a Friday night November the 25th  1938 and on Monday the 28th  of November I moved my belongings to my Father-in-law’s little farm house. We started to pray at about 9.30 at night. I’ve been baptised in the Holy Ghost since April 1937 and this is November 1938. I haven’t one

single manifestation of the gifts of the Spirit except the word of knowledge which operated almost constantly. Now my wife wasn’t baptised in the Holy Ghost at that time and the word of the Lord came to me saying “Lay your hands on your wife and I will will fill her with the Holy Ghost”  Ghost”  Now at this time I was not used to be interrupted while I was praying and so I kept on praying without paying any attention to that voice. I knew it was the Holy Spirit. Again I heard the voice saying “Lay your hands on your wife and I will fill her with the Holy Ghost” I Ghost” I thought maybe if I don’t pay attention to the voice, it will go away. You see we Baptist have an extreme slow movement. Third time the voice came to me “Lay your hands on your wife and I will fill her with the Holy Ghost” I Ghost”  I said “Dear Lord,  I don’t think you believe that I will do that.. I mean right in this Methodist home of my Father-in Law?” So  Law?” So I prayed again and heard the voice again. I’ve never done this before. I just reached my right hand and laid it on her head. Never said anything. When I did she immediately raised both her hands and started to speak in tongues. Never said anything in English. Spoke 1 ½ hours in tongues and sang 3 songs in tongues. Here we need to learn something. People don’t understand because they never read the Bible and don’t have the Holy Ghost to teach them. We need to learn something. We need to learn to flow with the move of the Holy Spirit. Understand what He is doing and why He is doing certain things. Healing  belongs to us. God wants His people to walk in health. God wants His people not even to be b e sick. In In the last 51 years I’ve never been sick except under two circumstances. 1. Acted stupid. Is anybody here who has not acted stupid? Raise your hand because I want to  put you to the top of my list so that I could c ould pray for you for telling lies. Amen. Amen. First we act stupid a lot of times a cting stupid not listening to our wives. Wives ought to say Amen! 2. When I got out of the will of God. Sometimes I can just get on for 5 to 7 years not knowing that I’ve even got a body. No pains, fatigue or anything. Everything single time I got attacked was when I got out of the will of God in the ministry. When you get out of the will of God the faith principles won’t work! And I would say“Lord say “Lord  I’m sorry I missed missed my way way somewhere..” somewhere..” Let’s say someone is telling that he’s been claiming his healing by faith for 19 years and never got healed. From Johannesburg to Durban it’s 400 miles. Let’s say a fellow got on a car from Johannesburg and went to Durban and for 19 years he has not gotten there yet! You don’t have to have much intelligence to understand that you are on the wrong road. Same with healing. Why don’t these people have sense when it comes to spiritual things that they claim to have in the natural sense? For 19 years? You have got to realise that you have missed your turn at some point. Stop and look at the map! The Bible is your map. You know when you have missed your way when you hear that still small voice from your inside. Every Christian has got it. Romans 8:14 says As says As many as are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God. Not God.  Not one single t ime I had the t he voice from my right shoulder. No! Always the inward witness when it comes to this. The strong voice as I told you before is a manifestation. I’ll tell you most church people won’t know the Holy Spirit, even if they saw Him coming on the street with a red hat on. They wouldn’t recognise Him. If you don’t want to accept God’s word, I can’t help you. Just forget it. Both your physical health and prosperity is based on your spiritual prosperity. Why did the Lord say to me “Lay your hands on your wife and I’ll fill her with the holy Ghost.”? Ghost.”? She was a Methodist. The minute I laid my hand on her. Never instructed her, never said a word and never told what to believe and what not to believe. The Holy Ghost came on her. One time my Mother-in-Law was on her way to the hospital for a surgery. To remove a goitre on her neck. The Lord asked me to pray for her at home and immediately the goitre was reduced to ¼ of it’s original size. Then the Lord spoke to me and instructed me to ask her to come to church alter during the service and receive the Holy Ghost and the healing shall be complete. Why didn’t God healed her completely that time? That completion is contingent upon her spiritual walk. Oh.. How many times I’ve seen this..!

A 9 year old girl was once brought to me by her parents. She never walked a step in her life, never said a word in her life and never eaten by herself. Always had to be fed. I laid my hands on her but didn’t seem to get any better. They put her in the car. They’ve come from 90 miles away and they stopped by a fast food restaurant because they hadn’t eaten. The mother would take something like a little piece of a hamburger and put it in the child’s mouth. Suddenly the girl cried “Give me that!”. that!”. She had never spoken in her life. They brought her back the same week and she ran down the aisle of our church. God’s my witness. She ran down the aisle and threw her arms around me and hugged me and said “I love you.. I love you..” Then you..”  Then I saw that girl couple of years later lose that healing because her parents didn’t walk on with God. Her daddy got with something with some old preachers. I don’t criticise anybody. I don’t judge anybody. All the pr eachers are wrong and everybody is wrong and the  poor girl just lost her healing. I’m convinced that the minute your pastor laid hands on you, your healing begins.  Now my Mother-in-Law Mother-in-Law came to our church Wednesday night. night. She just walked up to the alter and fell down. So when we came down to pray for her e found out that she was already speaking in tongues. When she got up I checked for that goitre and it was gone. Now she’s 90 years old and it’s still gone. What is if she didn’t do what God asked to do? That’s the reason many times that’s the reason healings are not completed though they b egan or though they don’t begin b egin sometimes. Because there is a blockage there.
