INTRODUCTION: The success of the school relies on the performance of the school head and teachers. Their good working relationship will lead to the triumph of the whole institution as well as the future of the learners. In order to motivate teachers to accomplish their work goals and tasks efficiently, they need to be enthused in their task/ job. One way of increasing teachers’ motivation is by giving them awards as a form of recognizing their efforts done for the whole year. So, it is timely to acknowledge teachers’ efforts through giving these awards and recognition to particular and deserving teachers of Baliuag Viejo Elementary School.

DISCUSSION: Good teachers are vital in improving pupils’ achievement and performance. Teachers respond to appreciation expressed through recognition of their good work because it confirms that their work is valued by others. Their satisfaction and productivity rises when their work is appreciated. Thus, when they are valued; they are motivated to maintain or improve their merit as individuals and as professionals. Indeed, with the influence that teachers have over our lives, recognizing teacher accomplishments is indispensable. A good reward system helps a school build a growth-centered environment, track the individual’s progress and keep them inspired for dynamic growth and new achievements.
