CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 1:20 PM by Lindy Pujante - Class Adviser

CLASS ADVISER'S TIME * The class adviser welcomed the parents and introduced herself .The parents take turn in introducing themselves to the group.

BUSINESS PROPER 1. Classroom Policies

ITEMS DISCUSSED * Students are required to come to school on school days (Mondays to Fridays)except on holidays. In case of sickness, they will be required to present an excuse letter signed by the parents upon returning to class. * They will be assigned to a group to perform certain duties such as cleaning the assigned area, cultivate their own vegetable garden daily. * Absences will be recorded and the class adviser will only allow maximum number of absences authorized by DepEd for the whole school year. If the pupil will exceed the number of absences then he/she will be dropped from the pupils list. * Parents are encouraged to inform the teacher /class adviser thru text message incase their son/daugther will be absent due to sickness or for any reason. * They are required to join BSP/GSP to increase the number of participants in scouting and to train them for community service this school year. * Parents will be informed about the academic progress / behavioral problems of their child and will be required to have a one-on-one conference with the teacher specially if the child needs help. A communication shall be written in the pupil's journal when the need arises. * Parents are informed about the class schedule and the need of remedial instruction for pupils who have difficulty in reading. It shall be done between 11:20-12:00. However the class adviser asked if it is agreeable for them to have the remedial instruction for pupils needing remediation after lunch between 12:30-1:00 so that they can have lunch early between 11:20 to 12:30. It was unanimously agreed by parents to have the remedial instruction for students needing remediation after lunch between 12:30 to 1:00. * They are required to attend the quarterly meetings to discuss the progress of their child and to sign the report card.

2. Grading System

* The class adviser inform the parents that although Grade VI Teachers are yet to undergo training in the Kto12 Program, they are already adopting the Kto12 Grading System which is 40% Written Test. 40% Performance Task and 20% for the Periodic/Quarterly Test. So class participation, projects, assignments and behavior will also have a big impact in computing grades. * The following point system are adopted for ranking of honor students: 7 points for academic; 3 points for co-corricular/extra curricular. Therefore pupils are enjoined to participate in the school activities to gain points in the co-curricular and extra curricular.

3. Anti Bullying/ Rules of Safety and Security

*Parents are made aware of the policy on bullying in the school. The class adviser also emphasizes that if the involved of bullying are both minors pupils, it should be handled by the School Principal and/or guidance and the class adviser with the presence of parents. Parents however are not allowed to handle or solve the problem alone and is prohibited from confronting the involved pupil/s. Discussion shall be done in the office with the authorized persons so that proper counselling will be done to the involved pupils as well as the parents. * The class adviser also informed the parents about the existing policy on the prohibition of parents and visitors inside the school campus during class hours except during emergency and that teachers will only confer with parents during their off period.

4. School Activities that * Parents were informed on the following activities that will require their support: requires parents 4.1 Nutrition Month - parents are informed about the feeding program every Friday for the whole support. month of July. There will be contests, i.e. slogan, poster making, cooking, nutri quiz and the search for AI child which will need a 100 pesos contribution for fund raising. 4.2 Playground demonstration - Extra curricular points shall be given to pupils who will participate since this is a yearly activity which will be done during City of Naga Fiesta. Parents however are informed in advance that they will be spending for the uniform expenses of their child. 4.3 NAT Review - Aside from Remediation instruction, NAT Review will also be conducted and during the extensive review, class hours will be extended. A communication will be sent by the class advisersto inform the parents when it will commence. 4.4 Graduation - Parents are also required to support in the graduation ceremonies. 5. Election of Officers

OTHER MATTERS * The class adviser appealed to the parents for a relevant classroom project. It was suggested that an iron door grill will be made for the security and safety of the pupils. This is also to make the room secure. It was unanimously voted that the iron door grill door will be the project of the classroom PTA of Grade VI Gray for SY 2016-2017 . The estimated cost of the materials are as follows: hinges 2 pcs flat bar 1/4 x 1 1/2 4 pcs square bar 12 mm 1/2 kilo welding rod 2 pcs angle bar Labor TOTAL

* Tentative 2nd Classroom PTA Meeting will be on August 26, 2016, Friday for updates and distribution of report cards for the first quarter. 6
