_______________________________________________________________________________________ Materials and Tools  Yarn: 1 or more colors. I used Alize soft cotton baby in mint, white color (cat and bear), Annell Miami in yellow, pink and light green (giraffe and piggy) and Catania cotton in dark orange (fox). Change of colors are only advices, you can choose your own color patterns.  Crochet hook in accordance with the yarn you use (2.00).  Stuffing: I use polyester wool and a chopstick to stuff the doll.  Tapestry needle, scissors.  Safety eyes 6.00 mm.  Stitch marker  Black embroidery thread for the nose, eyebrows, mouth.

Abbreviations mr = Magic ring ch = Chain dc= Double crochet hdc=Half Double crochet st = Stitch slst = Slip 1 stitch sc = Single crochet () = Parentheses are used for repeated patterns of stitches, example: (2 sc, inc) x3 means repeat 3 times (2 single crochet and one increase). inc = 2 sc in the same stitch dec = sc 2 together but working in the front loops only

All small pets are crocheted in spiral, don’t join at the end of each round.

Make 1 sc more. Then put your marker here (new beginning). Stuff the body. Don’t cut the yarn, we are going to make legs.

First we are going to crochet left leg. Crochet 14 sc, round 40 (fig 9), then put your hook through the other side and make next 14 sc (fig 10). Follow the pattern below to go farther.

How to close the end of the round: With a darning needle, insert the remaining yarn through all the front loops of the stitches on the last round. Pull all together at once and sew to hide the yarn inside the part you are working on (fig 12, 13).

Right leg: Lay the doll facing in front of you. Make a long yarn tail for sewing a gap between legs later. Insert your hook across both stitches, pick up the yarn and pull it through (fig 14, 15). Make a slip stitch. On that same stitch crochet the first sc of the right leg, then continue the pattern.

How to finish the face: use the needle, insert it under second stitch of face (fig 1) then come back to the beginning and insert the needle across stitch and bar (fig 2).

Embroider the nose (fig 3) and mouth. Stuff the muzzle lightly, place it below the eyes and sew to head. 6

“Piggy” Use the pattern on top to make a body. Body: crochet round 34 using only back loops. We are going to make skirt before to sew the arms to body. Making the skirt: Turn the body upside down. Go back to round 34 and work in the front loops (fig 1). Insert your hook in the first loop and pick up the yarn (fig 2). Make a slip stitch (fig 3), then insert the hook again in the same loop and start to make a skirt. Follow the pattern below.

“Fox” 14

Use the pattern on top to make a body. Body: crochet round 35 using only back loops. First we are going to make a skirt. 1

Turn the body upside down. Go back to round 35 and work in the front loops (fig 1). Insert your hook in the first loop and pick up the yarn (fig 2). Make a slip stitch in each loop (fig 3) and join with the first stitch (fig 4). 4

Work in the front loops. Crochet 3 start chains. Then make 2 dc in first loop and 3 dc in next loop. Repeat this combination 13 times. You should have 70 stiches around the body (fig 5, 6). Join with the first stitch. Next two rounds: crochet 1 dc in each stitch (fig 7).
