Developed and delivered complete safety training matrix, audit/inspection program, regulatory compliance programs/policies, etc. Vice President - Health, Safety & Environmental – USM 2008 to 2010 Developed and implemented total health, safety & environmental program from the ground up. Worked closely with Transfield Services (Australian parent company) to integrate “world class” safety culture into USM and its five divisions across all 50 states. Responsible for the safe and accurate movement and placement of over $2 million of merchandise per day. Supervisor - Safety/Health/Environmental – Avon Products 1989 to 1991 Responsible for all aspects of the Newark Branch’s safety, health, environmental and security programs. Developed and implemented a total comprehensive safety & health program from square one; including all policies, procedures, SOPs and their corresponding training programs. Also provided safety leadership for the Northeast Sales team, including workers compensation claims handling and fleet safety. Safety & Health Director – Cressona Aluminum Company 1984 to 1988 Was the first Safety/Health professional to work for this 600 employee company. Responsible to create, develop, and implement complete safety, health and loss prevention program. Developed and implemented complete safety, health and risk management programs from the ground up. Developed and implemented safety training for all areas (powered vehicles, lockout/tagout, accident investigation, ppe, back safety, fire safety, hot work, emergency evacuations, etc., Conducted risk assessments, coordinated industrial hygiene surveys, and insurance inspection audits, and corresponding corrective actions. Worked closely with insurance companies and medical providers to reduce losses and minimize worker’s compensation claims. Reduced recordable injury rates by more than 40%.
