Kenmore-Tonawanda UFSD, Buffalo, New York 2010 to Present Superintendent / Director of Buildings and Operations Directing and managing the fourth largest school district in Western New York, building and grounds, capital improvement projects, and facilities maintenance and operations of over 13 million square feet and with an operating budget exceeding 11 million dollars annually. Currently, managing and directing the districts four phased $57 million dollar capital improve project and acting as design manager for $20 million dollar new athletic field and sports facility. URS, Division of Construction & Project Management, Buffalo, New York 2008 - 2010 Manager of Construction Services Directing and managing URS’s entry to the project management market place in Western New York and Southern Ontario, with concentration in education, healthcare, and commercial disciplines. Currently I am providing construction administration and oversight for the Veterans Administration in a newly awarded contact, in the development of a 10 million dollar renovation, expansion and improvement program to its cemetery operations in Batavia, New York. JP Morgan Chase, Division of Corporate Real Estate & Planning, Houston, Texas 2007-2008 Senior Project Manager - Vice President / Regional Team Lead Principal duties included managing the strategic planning, design, and construction operation for corporate facilities within 13 states of the central United States encompassing over 230 million square feet of real estate. Supervised and directed real estate operations at two regional offices (Louisiana and Missouri) with 10 direct reports.  Completed a thirteen floor corporate office tower decommissioning and relocation for a five floor consolidation and lease back within six month period to realize over a 500K savings in rent rolls to the institution. 2001-2005 University of Texas, Houston MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas Principal Project Manager Direct construction and planning efforts related to the division of capital planning and management, healthcare divisions of patient care, research, and redevelopment.  Managed the division change from General properties to mission area specific construction responsibilities which resulted in a increase of departmental administration satisfaction of my division for 30% to 83%  Oversaw and administered the expansion of project staff from 12 to 42 project managers and our 120% increase of our CIP for years 2001 to 2005 which resulted in an addition of over 1 million square feet in research, clinic and faculty office facilities.  Reduced construction costs for research and staff office facilities by instituting alternate construction delivery methods, pricing proposal oversight, and expansion of our contractor provider base.  Developed and implemented long-range capital planning budgets for new construction project and operational renovation and maintenance expenditures for ongoing departmental improvements. 1999-2001 University of Texas Office of Facilities Planning and Construction Texas Medical Center, Houston, TX. Design and Resident Construction Manager Directed the design and construction activities of new and renovation projects within the medical center with primary responsibility for MD Anderson and UT Health Science Center projects.  Delivered to MD. Anderson a new 13-story faculty office facility ahead of schedule and with a return of construction savings to the client of $900K.  Administered for UT Health Science Center design & construction applications delivery alternatives for building restoration, resulting in cost savings and expedited delivery for their nursing school renovation project.  Applied “commercial lab construction” technologies to MD Anderson’s new South Campus lab research park, which produced construction costs of $185 per square foot versus the historical $275 per square foot costs for the institution.  Developed RFQ’s & RFP’s related to new CIP projects for Board of Regents presentation and approval.  Managed more than $500MM in construction and design projects within these two institution projects on the medical centers campus. 1998-1999 Brown & Root / Barton Malow / Empire Construction Ballpark @ Union Station, Houston, Texas Assistant Architectural & Procurement Project Manager Managed the construction buyout of the project, then directed the on site construction of the architectural elements involved in the main stadium and the renovation of Union Station. Served as senior staff person, representing Empire Construction on this joint venture. Provided direct supervision to 7 total staff members, 4 technical and 3 clerical.  Developed the glazing specification and hurricane testing criteria for the moving window wall. These actions resulted in the reduction of construction installation schedule and costs.  Advised the Sports Authority and the Astros organization in the selection of their groundskeeper prior to the selection of the playing surface and installation contractor. This provided a single successful application of the surface without any operational rejection consequences.

SGI, Integrated Graphics Systems, Houston, Texas 1996-1998 Eastern Region Field Service / Design & Construction Manager Managed all related manufacturing design and site modifications, including construction supervision for Central and Eastern Region of the United States for the upgrading of distribution centers.  Developed a nationwide contractor network facilitating a construction schedule inclusive of new projects and renovations projects across 1200 locations throughout the Eastern region. This reduced costs by 30% and schedule completion by an average of two weeks.  Delivered Texaco’s Southern Region (Atlanta metro) of 80 new and renovated stations on time and budget for the grand opening of the Atlanta summer Olympics.  Provided consulting services to our clients’ in-house engineering and construction departments for on-site administration and schedule compliance. Evans American Corporation, Houston, Texas 1994-1996 Architect/Estimator Provided architectural and construction management services to major insurance companies (Liberty Mutual, Travelers, etc.) focusing on structures damaged from both natural and man-made disasters.  Instituted “Quick-Est” software for the company. This business decision resulted in a 54% increase in market share of estimates and project management work done by these insurance providers.  Business Developer for Evans during hurricane Marylyn in the Caribbean for which additional work outside of our insurance contracts was awarded totaling in excess of $22.5 million dollars of through FEMA. This included two luxury condominium projects and government run shopping mall for cost estimation and reconstruction. Division of School Planning, Buffalo Board of Education, Buffalo, New York 1984-1994 Senior Architect/Project Manager Supervised and directed all aspects of design, construction, and repair projects from initial planning through final approval for the second largest school district in the State of New York.  Developed for special education instruction, design solution that utilized a single classroom, providing teaching and student resource areas. This resulted in the division receiving an award for excellence in educational design. The approach saved the district $80K per class in renovation costs.  Received local AIA citation for innovation in historical renovation for a 1940’s era educational construction. Renovated and restored the Hutchinson Technical HS, inclusive of interior and exterior, and MEP. This renovation avoided the closure of this high school. Its replacement value savings, $7 million, was returned to the District.
