1.0 INDRODUCTION 1.1 GENERAL This calculation report covers the design of steel structure for Stagging for hammer head shuttering. Structure mainly consists of inner formwork, external formwork, stagging and working platform. This document set out the design philosophy and all appropriate design criteria. Only the relevant calculation is reported. The report is set with the minimum requirement of the section, however higher configuration is accepted. 1.2 DESCRIPTION OF THE STEEL STRUCTURE The structure is composed by two different parts, main formwork, supporting column framing. Formwork is provided with horizontal stiffeners and columns of built-up section. Main structural supporting framings are provided with Crib L 50x50x6 etc. Support conditions are considered as pin support.

2.0 MATERIALS 2.1 STRUCTURAL STEEL
STEEL – Structural Steel, Es = 2 x105 N/ mm2 Density – 7850kg/m3 IS 2062 Grade A (Fy 250) for Rolled section and plates upto 20mm thk., IS 2062 Grade B for plates higher than 20mm thk.
3.0 ANALYSIS AND DESIGN METHODOLOGY
For analysis whole structure/frame is modeled in SAP2000 with pinned support. Structural steel designed in SAP2000, however formwork plate is not modeled which is designed separately. The structural framing member design check has been done in limit state method in SAP2000 and a plate, stiffeners has been checked for working stress method.
