TARTARUS
TITLE: SYSTEM: SETTING:
Tartarus: Wrath of the Righteous D&D Pathfinder/3.5 Ancient Greece
DESCRIPTION: Tartarus, long sealed by the gods, erupted at the dawn of the Second Age of Helas, destroying the city of Olympia and unleashing a ravenous Titanic horde upon the world. Only the quick action of devout priests, warriors, and heroes stemmed the demonic army and contained it within lost region of Elis, and for the next century, crusade after crusade tried to defeat the demons only to fail time and time again. Their greatest success, the line of magical artifacts known as Wardstones that stand sentinel along Elis’ border, barely manages to contain the Titans and demons. So when one of the wardstones is sabotaged, a city falls and the demons within surge out in a massive assault like none before. Even before the Fifth Crusade has begun a city has fallen and some of the crusaders’ greatest defenders and heroes are slain. Can anyone rise up against the demon host to prevent the armies of Hyperion, Titan of the Second Generation, from swallowing the world? CAMPAIGN OBJECTIVE: Reseal Tartarus and destroy the Titans who threaten the world. CHARACTER CONCEPTS: Rather than traditional fantasy races, there are six Civilizations to choose from – each with their own strengths and abilities. These include the Greeks, Africans, Carpathians, Egyptians, Persians and Phoenicians. Furthermore, each hero has been chosen to be the champion of a different deity of their respective pantheon. The gods, forbidden from interfering directly in the affairs of mortals, have done this to still aid in protecting Helas from destruction. Thus, new characters should have a patron deity that symbolizes their character in build, attitude and alignment.
TYRANNY OF DRAGONS
TITLE: SYSTEM: SETTING:
Tyranny of Dragons BESM (Big Eyes Small Mouth) Faerûn (Fantasy)
DESCRIPTION: In an audacious bid for power, the Cult of the Dragon, along with its dragon allies and the Red Wizards of Thay, seek to bring Tiamat from her prison in the Nine Hells to Faerûn. To this end, they are sweeping from town to town, laying waste to all those who oppose them and gathering a hoard of riches for their dread queen. The threat of annihilation has become so dire that groups as disparate as the Harpers and Zhentarim are banding together in the fight against the cult. Never before has the need for heroes been so desperate. CAMPAIGN OBJECTIVE: Uncover and defeat the Cult of the Dragon, and prevent Tiamat from escaping. CHARACTER CONCEPTS: You have free reign on just about any acceptable fantasy race, class and concept. Strange or dangerous concepts (such as a monster or Drow) may be discussed under special circumstance.
ELEMENTAL EVIL
TITLE: Elemental Evil SYSTEM: D&D 5th Edition SETTING: Forgotten Realms (Fantasy) DESCRIPTION: Four apocalyptic cults of Elemental Evil are building secret sanctuaries and outposts throughout the North, bringing terror and destruction to the Forgotten Realms. Each cult is devoted to one of the Princes of Elemental Evil (godlike entities embodying air, earth, fire, and water) and is led by a nihilistic prophet, corrupted by power. The cruel elf princess Aerisi Kalinoth speaks for the air Cult of the Howling Hatred, while Marlos Urnrayle, a fierce male medusa, leads the Cult of the Black Earth. The Cult of the Eternal Flame scars its followers at the behest of the beautiful and deadly tiefling Vanifer, and the mutilated sailor Gar Shatterkeel plots to drown the world with his Cult of the Crushing Wave. The cults use devastation orbs, forged of raw elemental power, to ravage Faerûn with horrifying earthquakes, typhoons, tornados, and other disasters. Independently, the cults are terrible adversaries, but now they have secretly begun transforming a long-lost dungeon into a huge subterranean temple dedicated to an alien entity known as the Elder Elemental Eye. To prevent this union of the Elemental Evils into one catastrophic force, heroes must expose the prophets’ true agenda. The cults’ agents are everywhere and their power is immense. When you don’t know whom to trust, knowledge is your only weapon. Unearth the Deception. CAMPAIGN OBJECTIVE: Expose and defeat the Cult of the Eternal Flame. CHARACTER CONCEPTS: You have free reign on just about any acceptable fantasy race, class and concept. Strange or dangerous concepts (such as a monster or Drow) may be discussed under special circumstance.
RAGE OF DEMONS
TITLE: SYSTEM: SETTING:
Rage of Demons D&D 5th Edition Faerûn/Underdark (Fantasy)
DESCRIPTION: Rumors of powerful demon lords such as Demogorgon, Orcus and Graz’zt terrorizing the denizens of the Underdark have begun to filter up to the cities of the Sword Coast. The already dangerous caverns below the surface are thrown into ultimate chaos, madness and discord. The renegade drow Drizzt Do’Urden is sent to investigate, but he alone cannot fight against the demons – and he risks succumbing to his darker temptations himself. Inspired by Drizzt and urged by the imminent threat to their homes, a band of heroes gathers to send this evil into the darkness whence it came. CAMPAIGN OBJECTIVE: Defeat the Demon Lords of the Underdark. CHARACTER CONCEPTS: You have free reign on just about any acceptable fantasy race, class and concept. Strange or dangerous concepts may be discussed under special circumstance. Because this is primarily set in the Underdark, Drow are not only allowed but encouraged. Elves and Half-Elves, to the contrary, will likely be treated aggressively and should probably be avoided.
