Inspection during operation and standstill Key benefits - Optimised hydraulic system performance - Electronic data logging and evaluation of both operation and standstill conditions - Optimal cooler availability - Uninterrupted production - Makes maintenance costs more predictable - Professional evaluation and assistance for your maintenance team

Training session In addition to the cooler inspection, we also offer a two-day training session for predictive maintenance on the cooler, including troubleshooting and operation of the hydraulic system. The session consists of theoretical as well as practical training.

An inspection by FLSmidth service specialists who have indepth knowledge of the SFTM Cross-Bar® cooler, the Multi-MovableTM Cross-Bar® cooler and the Cross-Bar® cooler is your best guarantee for ensuring optimal, trouble-free operation. These coolers must work flawlessly with the kiln system in order to maintain clinker production, reduce downtime and minimise production costs. Performing an external and internal inspection during standstill is the best way to form an accurate picture of the cooler’s overall condition. This will allow us to identify parts that need to be replaced and detect potential threats before they become a problem, such as worn out moving parts and leaks in hydraulic systems.

Obtaining data Data for cooler evaluation is collected during operation and standstill. This gives our specialists an accurate idea of potential problem areas, as well as important information for postinspection analysis and evaluation. FLSmidth cooler specialists check every part of the cooler, including: - Hydraulic systems - Operational parameters - Material and oil leaks - Wear - Hammer crusher/ heavy duty roll breaker - Vibrations - Air blaster system - Cooler fans

During the inspection the cooler inlet is checked for heat damages as well as the air blaster system and mechanical flow regulators are examined. Our inspection gives you all information necessary to conduct full maintenance and repairs according to FLSmidth recommendations.

The cooler inspection is carried out in cold condition during a shutdown of the kiln installation. The inspection includes an examination of wear on the bars, retainer brackets, U-profiles, C-profiles and trays. Visual inspection of cylinder and linear bearings and lubrication is conducted together with an adjustment of the mechanical zero point including length transducer and inter-modular straps.

To maintain overall performance and optimal production capacity, it is important to check and if necessary adjust the hydraulic system regularly. During the inspection measurements and data logging of the hydraulic system are carried out during operation.

Final report When inspections of cooler components have been carried out, all data collected during the inspection are evaluated and our specialists will provide a final evaluation and analysis report as well as recommendations for repairs, spare parts and adjustments. The report will include suggestions for optimisations to obtain better performance and be an essential document to assist your maintenance department plan future maintenance activities, such as ensuring that the right spare parts are available and – most importantly – avoiding unscheduled, costly shutdowns.

The report covers the condition of all cooler components: - Wear parts - Hydraulic systems - Mechanical components

Recommendations for action - Actions at scheduled maintenance stop - Modification of the cooler maintenance program - Evaluation of spare parts - Suggestions for optimisation of the cooler
