Abbreviations: ch = Chain sc = Single Crochet 2sctog = single crochet 2 stitches together (decrease) 2scinc = single crochet twice in the same single crochet stitch (increase) HDC= Half Double Crochet stitch DC= Double Crochet stitch About this pattern: This pattern is worked in a spiral, so please mark the last stitch of each round to keep place, with a stitch marker or safety pin. When starting a piece, the pattern calls for a “ring” use what ever ring you would like: a slip knot, double ring, an adjustable loop, Chain 2- then start spiral in first chain, etc… The tail from the ring should be tightened and sewn into the piece and cut.

Reindeer: Measures 6 inches tall.

Head: With Honey yarn, starting at top of head working to the neck. Rnd 1: Make a ring, sc 8 times into ring (8) (Remember to mark last stitch of each round) st

Rnd 4 thru Rnd 7: Sc around (24) Rnd 8: *2sctog, 4 sc* repeat around (20) Rnd 9: *2sctog, 3 sc* repeat around (16) Rnd10: *2sctog, 2 sc* repeat around (12) End- slip stitch to next stitch, cut yarn leaving a 10 inch yarn tail and pull thru.

Nose: With Cream yarn. Rnd 1: Make a ring, sc 4 times into ring (4) (Remember to mark last stitch of each round) st

Rnd 2: (starting in 1 sc on the ring) sc the first 2 stitches once each, *2scinc* in each of the next 2 stitches (6) Rnd 3: sc the first 2 stitches once each, * 2scinc, 1 sc* repeat twice (8) Rnd 4: sc the first 2 stitches once each, * 2scinc, 2 sc* repeat twice (10) End- slip stitch to next stitch, cut yarn leaving a 10 inch yarn tail and pull thru. Stuff nose, and pin to center of head. Use the yarn tail to sew nose to head. Arrange and secure on safety eyes, and stuff head firmly. With a scrap of black yarn, and yarn needle, embroider nose by making a couple of whip stitches to the tip of the nose.

Body: With Honey yarn. Rnd 1: Make a ring, sc 6 times into ring (6) (Remember to mark last stitch of each round) st

Rnd 2: (starting in 1 sc on the ring) *2scinc* in each of the 6 sc stitches from round one- 6 times (12) Rnd 3: * 2scinc, 1 sc* repeat around (18) Rnd 4 thru Rnd 9: Sc around (18) Rnd10: *2sctog, 1 sc* repeat around (12) End- slip stitch to next stitch, cut yarn leaving a 10 inch yarn tail and pull thru, stuff body firmly and use this yarn tail to sew head to body.

Arms and Legs:

Start with Black yarn- make 4. Rnd 1: Make a ring, sc 6 times into ring (6) (Remember to mark last stitch of each round) st

Rnd 2: (starting in 1 sc on the ring) Sc around (6) Change to Honey yarn. Rnd 3 thru Rnd 6: Sc around (6) End- slip stitch to next stitch, cut yarn leaving a 10 inch yarn tail and pull thru, stuff arms and legs lightly and use this yarn tail to sew arms and legs to body.

Antlers: With Cream yarn, make 2. Rnd 1: Make a ring, sc 4 times into ring (4) (Remember to mark last stitch of each round) st

Rnd 2: (starting in 1 sc on the ring) *2scinc* in each of the 4 sc stitches from round one- 4 times (8) Rnd 3 thru Rnd 4: Sc around (8) Stuff as you work Rnd 5: *2sctog* twice, sc the last 4 stitches once each (6) Rnd 6: *2sctog* twice, sc the last 2 stitches once each (4) Rnd 7 thru Rnd 9: Sc around (4) End- slip stitch to next stitch, cut yarn leaving a 10 inch yarn tail and pull thru. You will use this yarn tail to sew on top of head.

Antler “Nubs”: With Cream yarn, make 2. Rnd 1: Make a ring, sc 5 times into ring (5) (Remember to mark last stitch of each round) st

Rnd 3 thru Rnd 4: (starting in 1 sc on the ring) Sc around (5) End- slip stitch to next stitch, cut yarn leaving a 10 inch yarn tail and pull thru. Use this yarn tail to sew “nubs” to large antlers. Now sew antlers to head.

Ears:

With Honey yarn- make 2. Rnd 1: Make a ring: make all of the following into ring: 2 sc stitches, 1 DC stitch, 2 sc stitches. End- slip stitch to first stitch, cut yarn leaving a 10 inch yarn tail and pull thru, use this yarn tail to sew ears to head.

Scarf:

With Red yarn, chain 51. Row 1: Beginning in the 2nd chain from the hook, make 1 sc stitch in each of the 50 chain stitches (50) Row 2: Chain 1, turn, sc once in each of the 50 stitches (50) End- cut yarn leaving a 10 inch yarn tail and pull thru and weave in yarn end. Make 2- 1 inch pom-poms of green yarn, leaving a 10 inch yarn tail securing around the middle of the pom-pom to sew pom-poms to end of scarf. Wrap scarf around neck, and with Honey Yarn, make a loop on the top of the head to hang.

Bunny: Measures 6 inches tall.

Rnd 2: (starting in 1 sc on the ring) Sc around (6) Rnd 3 thru Rnd 7: Sc around (6) End- slip stitch to next stitch, cut yarn leaving a 10 inch yarn tail and pull thru, stuff ears lightly and use this yarn tail to sew ears to top of head.

With a scrap of black yarn, and yarn needle, embroider nose between eyes. Use the cotton swabs to lightly apply the blush to make “cheeks”.

Scarf: Start with Red yarn, chain 4. 3

Wrap scarf around neck, and with White Yarn, make a loop on the top of the head to hang.

Squirrel: Measures 5 inches tall.

Head: With Honey Yarn, follow the same directions as the head of the Bunny. Body: With Honey Yarn, follow the same directions as the body of the Reindeer. Sew head to body as the reindeer.

Arms:

With Honey yarn- make 2. Rnd 1: Make a ring, sc 6 times into ring (6) (Remember to mark last stitch of each round) st

Rnd 2: (starting in 1 sc on the ring) Sc around (6) Rnd 3 thru Rnd 6: Sc around (6) End- slip stitch to next stitch, cut yarn leaving a 10 inch yarn tail and pull thru, stuff arms lightly and use this yarn tail to sew arms to body (same as Reindeer).

Legs:

With Honey yarn- make 2. Rnd 1: Make a ring, sc 6 times into ring (6) (Remember to mark last stitch of each round) st

Rnd 2: (starting in 1 sc on the ring) Sc around (6) Rnd 3: Sc around (6) End- slip stitch to next stitch, cut yarn leaving a 10 inch yarn tail and pull thru, stuff legs firmly and use this yarn tail to sew legs to bottom body.

Eyes:

With Black yarn- make 2. Rnd 1: Make a ring: make all of the following into ring: 1 sc stitch, 1 HDC stitch, 2 DC stitches, 1 HDC stitch, 1 sc stitch. End- slip stitch to first stitch, cut yarn leaving a 10 inch yarn tail and pull thru. Put stem of safety eye thru the center of the made eye piece, but do not secure safety washer to back yet. Arrange eye pieces so that the sc stitches of the eyes are towards the center, and the DC stitches are towards the cheek section of head, and secure safety washers inside head:

Nose: With Grey Yarn, follow the same directions as the nose of the Reindeer. Use the yarn tail to sew nose to head between eyes. With a scrap of black yarn, and yarn needle, embroider nose by making a couple of whip stitches to the tip of the nose.

Ears:

With Grey Yarn, follow the same directions as the ears of the Reindeer. Sew ears to head:

Body:

With Grey Yarn, follow the same directions as the body of the Reindeer. Sew head to body as the reindeer.

Arms:

Start with Black yarn- make 2. Rnd 1: Make a ring, sc 4 times into ring (4) (Remember to mark last stitch of each round) st

Door: With Honey yarn. You will not be working in a spiral: chain 2, Row 1: In the 1st chain made, make 4 sc stitches. (4) Row 2: Ch 1, turn work, Make 2 sc stitches in the first stitch (2scinc), sc the next 2 stitches once each, make 2 sc stitches in the last stitch (2scinc) (6) End- cut yarn leaving a 10 inch yarn tail and pull thru, you will use this yarn tail to sew door to base of mushroom stem. With Green Yarn, make a loop on the top of the head to hang.

House: Measures 5 inches tall and 3.5 inches wide.

Icicles for Roof of House: With White yarn, Chain 34. between the *’s twice, then in the very last chain stitch make all of the following: 1HDC stitch, 1 DC stitch and 1 HDC stitch.

Icicles for Roof of Chimney:

With White yarn, Chain 7. Row 1: Beginning in the 4th chain from the hook, *In the first chain make both 1 DC and 1 HDC stitch, in the next 2 chains, make 1 sc stitch in each, then in the very last chain stitch make all of the following: 1HDC stitch, stitch and 1 DC stitch. Arrange house pieces, the front and the back stacked up one on top of the other, and pin together. With dark brown yarn, sew the pieces together all along the edges and bottom- completely closed.

Now arrange the chimneys together- front and back stacked up on top of each other, and pin together. With Dark Brown yarn, sew all the edges together. Next, arrange the icicles for the chimney on top of the chimney and pin into place. With white yarn, sew the icicles to the chimney.

Next arrange chimney to back of house and pin. With dark brown yarn, sew the bottom edge of the chimney to the back of the house.

The next step is to arrange and pin the icicles to the roof of the house, and with white yarn, sew the top edge of the icicles to the top of the house.

Arrange the door to the center bottom of the house and pin in place. Using red yarn, sew door to front of house.

To make the wreath, sew the side seams of the piece together with green yarn to form a circle. Then sew to front of the house with green yarn. With a scrap of red yarn, make a bow on the side. With Green Yarn, make a loop on the top of the house to hang.

Acorn: Measures 2 inches long. Start with Honey yarn. Rnd 1: Make a ring, sc 4 times into ring (4) (Remember to mark last stitch of each round) st

Rnd 2: (starting in 1 sc on the ring) * 2scinc, 1 sc* repeat around (6)

Hedgehog: Measures 4 inches long. Body: With Dark Brown yarn.

Face: With Cream yarn. Rnd 1: Make a ring, sc 4 times into ring (4) (Remember to mark last stitch of each round) st

Rnd 2: (starting in 1 sc on the ring) sc the first 2 stitches once each, *2scinc* in each of the next 2 stitches (6) Rnd 3: sc the first 2 stitches once each, *2scinc* in each of the next 4 stitches (10) Rnd 3: sc the first 2 stitches once each, * 2scinc, 1 sc* repeat four times (14) Rnd 4: Sc around (24) End- slip stitch to next stitch, cut yarn leaving a 10 inch yarn tail and pull thru. Arrange safety eyes to center of face, and secure washers inside. With a scrap of dark brown yarn, and yarn needle, embroider nose by making a couple of whip stitches to the tip of the nose. Stuff face, and pin to end of body. Use the yarn tail to sew face to head.

Head Scarf: With Red yarn. Chain 2 Row 1: In the 1st chain made, make 2 sc stitches. Now chain 5 more stitches then slip stitch to the marked 6th chain, chain 5 more stitches and slip stitch right back to the same marked stitch. Now chain 5 and fasten off, leaving a 10 inch yarn tail to sew. Arrange the head scarf onto the hedgehog with the chain “ties” on the bottom, and with yarn tail, sew to opposite corner of scarf.

Ears:

With Dark Brown yarn- make 2. Rnd 1: Make a ring: make all of the following into ring: 1 sc stitch, 2 HDC stitches, 1 DC stitch, 2 HDC stitches, 1 sc stitch. End- slip stitch to first stitch, cut yarn leaving a 10 inch yarn tail and pull thru, use this yarn tail to sew ears to head. With Red Yarn, make a loop on the top of the head to hang.

Santa: Measures 6 inches tall.

Head: With Cream Yarn, follow the same directions as the head of the Reindeer. Hat: With Red yarn. Rnd 1: Make a ring, sc 4 times into ring (4) (Remember to mark last stitch of each round) st

Make 1- 1 inch pom-poms of white yarn, leaving a 10 inch yarn tail securing around the middle of the pom-pom to sew the pom-pom to end of the hat. With Red Yarn, make a loop on the top of the hat to hang.

Elf: Measures 5.5 inches tall.

Head: With Cream yarn, starting at top of head working to the neck. Rnd 1: Make a ring, sc 6 times into ring (6) (Remember to mark last stitch of each round) st

Rnd 2: (starting in 1 sc on the ring) *2scinc* in each of the 6 sc stitches from round one- 6 times (12) Rnd 3: * 2scinc, 1 sc* repeat around (18) Rnd 4 thru Rnd 8: Sc around (18) Rnd 9: *2sctog, 1 sc* repeat around (12) End- slip stitch to next stitch, cut yarn leaving a 10 inch yarn tail and pull thru. Arrange and secure on safety eyes, and stuff head firmly. With a scrap of cream yarn, embroider a couple of whip stitches between the eyes to make the nose. Use the cotton swabs to lightly apply the blush to make “cheeks”. Now with Dark Brown Yarn, embroider the hair around the face, you can use whip or straight stitches for straight hair, or French knots to make curly hair. Embroider hair on the front half of the head:
