From the producer.... TE BASS LOOP 01 When making this rolling bass line we took just 3 notes and made a simple rhythm out of them. We warmed up the sound using Fabfilter's Saturn plugin. When making techno bass lines if you put a high cut EQ on them it can help create a sort of underwater rolling effect.

TE BASS LOOP 09 We love to use Logic's distortion plugin to really add grit to our basses and make them fatter. On this bass we used the Waves Sound shifter to pitch the bass line down in a sweeping motion.

TE BASS LOOP 10 This dirty bass was put through a Logic Bass Amp plugin which gives it that really analog gritty sound. This time we put the bass amp on a separate bus with a low cut as it was adding a lot of sub and only wanted to add it subtly.  TE DRUM LOOP 02 What really gives this loop it's character and movement is the clav in the background. We created a pattern with it and then added delay and reverb to give it more space.

TE DRUM LOOP 04 This fat loop hits hard. We took a fairly regular sounding kick and distorted it heavily. When making techno a lot of the low end can come from the kick.

TE DRUM LOOP 14 By adding a Logic phaser to the hats we created much more movement in this loop. It also makes the sound pan from side to side which keeps it interesting and sounds good on a club sound system.

From the producer.... TC SYNTH LOOP 04 We made these chords using Lennar Digital Sylenth. To make them short and stabby we set the attack very fast and the decay quite low. We added a long reverb to give them more space.

TC SYNTH LOOP 14 This loop was made from a pitched down vocal sample and a drone sound with a lot of delay. When making techno music these kind of sounds can really add to the general ambience.

TC SYNTH LOOP 15 This rezzy pad sound is one of our favourites. We took a fairly standard pad sound and turned the resonance up really high, which is what gives it that acid sound. We then added delay to help the flow of the loop.

TC 10 FX This effect was made from taking a percussion sound and time stretching it out so it is essentially much slower. We then added reverb and delay to create a dark droney feel.
