The role This role is critical to delivery of key strategic projects within Westpac Group via sophisticated analysis of data to support critical decision making of key strategic direction for Westpac Group investments. The analysis provided is required to support sustainable business decisions. The role is responsible for the design, and execution of business analysis models that are competitive and transformative. The calibre of individual will have exceptional modelling skills, coupled with the ability to diversify data provided to position multiple options for review and decision making by Directors and Manager. This role career path managed successfully will lead to a Manager role within Group Strategy. The data analysis will support the drive of huge investment to truly transform our business and make a real difference. Your accountabilities will include: Delivering Value to Stakeholders • Assists with generating key hypotheses, analyses and data requirements to support hypothesis testing • Assist with sophisticated hypothesis-driven analyses • Thoroughly gathers and fully leverages facts and information when performing analyses • Draws logical conclusions and insights from analyses • Identifies creative and useful additional analyses that may contribute to the workstream • Demonstrates quality / accuracy standards for analysis, and communication • Communicates effectively and appropriately with team members and stakeholders Developing People and Relationships • Strategy team members, and mainly GM2 / GM3 level in business • Builds peer relationships within the organisation • Involves Group Strategy team members and key internal stakeholders in shaping and conducting the work within a workstream / project Building Group Strategy Capabilities • Builds an area of expertise within the bank, e.g., wealth management, retail distribution • Assists with ad hoc requests from the Chief Strategy Officer, CEO, Executive Team, and key business stakeholders as requested • Accountable for managing / delivering multiple workstreams of a large project or for one, complete smaller project

What you need to succeed • MBA or equivalent level preferred • 2+ years business experience in either a consulting / strategic planning capacity or a relevant business role • Proven project management experience required • Financial services experience required; finance experience preferred • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills both orally and in writing • Strong project and team management capabilities • Strategic thinking skills, defined as the ability to creatively approach and structure complex, potentially unfamiliar issues • Problem-solving and work-structuring skills • Ability to work well within a team environment, taking on leadership roles when appropriate but also capable of functioning as a team member • Ability to communicate with peers and key stakeholders • Ability to manage to deadlines and deliver on time • High proficiency in Powerpoint, Excel, and Word • Exceptional complex business modelling skills
