Introduction: A short note from the author: Hi and thanks for trying Claudia’s little secret Chapter1 & 2I. Feel free to skip this introduction and go play instead. Just read about the initial dream here below. You are still there? So it means you’re the patient kind. Good, you are most probable to succeed enjoying this mod than others. CLS was made for female character played by male geek that thinks lesbians are big boobed blonds that spend their time half naked around a pool. Like in those films... You know “those”. Don’t tell me otherwise you’re reading a file you’ve just downloaded from the Internet. That is, originally... Well first I had the prejudice that most male players use a female character (look at the Nexus mods and prove me wrong) and that only those will play CLS. Second, I was really bored by all the cast and fuck mods around and wanted something a bit more fun. So I decided to quickly whip up a little innocent quest and some animations. Well, it turned out that I was wrong. Half of the first assumption is still valid (works for me for example), but to my astonishment, a lot of female players enjoyed CLS so far. Also, one little detail after another, my simple little quest turned out to be thousands of line of script code. Some of you know how it works after that: you become addicted! I needed to know how everything in the CS worked, I needed my own animations, I wanted my new meshes and with other textures please. What about some music that fits better? And sound effects? Etc. Then it was time to go further and make part 2, a lot more ambitious so I needed more tests and this is where I created a little simple forum and soon a team was build. So after all this tl;dr can you play as a male character? Sure, I tried to adapt most animations and options to fit a male character but I always have a female character in mind when building the story... I suggest you play with a humanoid female. Immersion with a male can work but with a beast race it’ll be very odd.

3

Initial dream sequence: Before the story starts, make sure you have no new quests that will begin as soon as you load your savegame. Popups will destroy immersion and... the quest logic. For example, if you just installed shivering isles, make sure you received the warning about the new island before running CLS. The quest will not begin until you sleep. Sleep where you want but sleep for a while... You’ll experience your first dream. The aim of this dream is to “calibrate” your race size to match as close as possible Imperial1 size. Select your clones according to the crown above their heads. Take the one that fits best and do it again for more precision. After that, select the body type you prefer, this will be the default for some animations and NPCs. The clone on the extreme right is the default body type you choose to play with normally. I recommend DMRA, I used it as a default for most animation so other type may clip. After the first encounter with the mysterious girl, you’ll have the opportunity to answer her that it looks fine or not. The later will make the dream start over again next time you sleep so you can change your choices.

What’s Claudia’s Little Secret? Claudia’s little secret cuts new boundaries in presenting depiction of adult interactions and adult sexual concepts. The quests follow an adventure-based story that will take the Player across the length and breadth of the Cyrodilic province. In that travel you will be faced with challenges, life threatening situations and needs to be able to defend yourself. In traveling you will be assaulted by all sorts’ human adversaries, animals and Mythical beings that exist in the world of Oblivion. Dragonaviator. Claudia’s Little Secret, in short CLS is a quest mod for Oblivion. You are going to help Claudia uncover her past and restore a long forgotten Cult. With more than 1GB uncompressed material you already guessed that nearly every aspect of Bethesda’s fabulous “TES Oblivion” was modded. In CLS you will:     

Meet a lot of new NPCs, all of them customized in details with special faces, hair, costumes and different body types. Experience tons of new objects, totally new cells with many custom meshes and textures. Listen to new sound effects and music. See a new cut scene script engine that will bring cut scenes into Oblivion using the Gamebryo engine, not a movie. See some AI interactions and the result of thousands scripts lines of code that will force the game into doing things you were not thinking were possible.

I sincerely hope you will enjoy the mod as much as we enjoyed making it. For the team, Grumpf.

An ancient and forgotten Daedric shrine awaits…

General warnings: Legal.

Enjoy the game! If you are uncomfortable with what is happening stop playing. I strongly suggest the game not be played in mixed company, and certainly not in the work place the game depicts sexual activity, and contains adult concepts on sexuality in a mythical world. The real world you will be playing from has laws that bind you on what you can do legally and what you expose people around you to overtly, or inadvertently. If you are underage, are precluded by your national, or religious laws do not even consider playing this game. The game is published for people who are legally adults in their country of residence who are legally entitled to play an adult rated game for their own enjoyment in circumstances where no one else will be inadvertently exposed to the contents of the game, or part thereof. Remember, what maybe legal for you to do in private, may well be illegal if someone else is inadvertently exposed to this content without their agreement and permission. DragonAviator Crashes to desktop. Well people, if you read this manual, it means that I consider part1 & 2 not in Beta anymore. Is it bug free now then? Well, quality is at least as good as Oblivion with latest patch and certainly better than New Vegas... There shouldn’t be any bug left that I can fix. CTDs and hangs up may still occur though. See relevant section of this document about it. Don’t forget that most of the problems you will encounter have nothing to do with CLS before flaming! The Gamebryo engine is quite unstable and we’re pushing the poor vehicle with nitrox so bumpy ride ahead... And I’m not even talking about your other 50some mods you can’t live without. You were warned... Grumpf. A note about the cut scene engine. CTD’s champion. This is probably what is causing most of the CTDs for some players, the “Cut Scenes”. Ok, engine is a fancy name for scripts and functions but nevertheless, here’s the concept: To avoid problem, a perfect clone of your character will be created, thus I don’t have to worry about breaking scripts on equipment etc. The clone is then resized according to your choices during lucid dream (see relevant section). Your player is then rendered invisible through missing meshes and fake clothes. You can “TCL” or “TFC” if you want more liberty with the camera but keep it in mind when the cut scene finishes before freaking out... 7

Save your game. I will not stress that enough: save often and don’t hesitate to reload. This way you can watch a cut scene again and again if you missed something. Some part of the game need to be played entirely before you can make a successful save. See the infamous “arm in the air “stuck animation in the FAQ for more details. Basically, if you reload an old savegame and are confronted to the situation, load the save just before this one and watch again. Frozen? If the cut scene seems to be stuck or causes a CTD: reload previous save game. Most cut scenes are time triggered. Strip your character naked before and see if it helps. Timing event in the cut scene are really fussy, if it doesn’t work properly, clean your oblivion hard drive and defragment it (see relevant section about that). Remember “SAVE” before a cut scene if you can, or are re-running a scenario. The Camera Now about the “camera” I can't really explain without spoiling but there is no way to force the player to look at something. During cut scenes, try not to move too much or you may miss the action. Good playing practices. Try to play like a good boy (or girl). Do not teleport, cheat, advance quest etc. the way CLS story advance is through quest, timed events, objects scripts, dialogues other events, voodoo magic etc. I took months to develop CLS, don’t expect me to remember how I created it, I can’t… Also, I kept learning as I created and it’s a game quest, not the next Microsoft office so I didn’t go back to optimize my code as I learned new ways… So don’t do stupid shit. Don’t teleport in the middle of an animation killing randomly and stealing from NPCs then cry for help… Playing Custom Races Playing Custom Race is not recommended, but if you are careful it can be done. Vampire and other evil races: To succeed at the 'pure milk thistle' quest you need to be pure at heart and have no criminal, infamy, or bounty applying to your Player character, to be able to pick the thistle. You can go to any chapel or shrine and pray. At the shrines you may need a higher FAME setting to have the shrine accept you and deliver its blessing. For vampires - killing and how Oblivion registers them may differ with some custom races. The guards may not register the killing of a Bandit as a crime, but the Chapel Alters, and shrines may reject "evil" race characters for any killing.

Companions Mods Try to play alone this time! Our recommendation is to leave your companions at home. Certain companion mods are suspected of creating problems in progression of CLS scripts. Besides, some parts of CLS will be really awkward with your little friend watching behind you and will destroy immersion.

Installation instruction: At the present time, only manual installation exists, Alchmo is working on an OMOD version that we will release soon. You need the following things for CLS to work properly    

a working OBSE (version 20 min.) a working OBMM the two plugins for OBSE BBB compatible skeleton.

If you are unfamiliar with those, you may have a hard time installing CLS. I try to explain a bit further step by step instructions but if you really have no clue what they are, I suggest you try to familiarize yourself with those first, downloading a mod easier to install. I’m not patronizing here, I just want to avoid frustration for you. Manual installation Short explanation: 1 Install OBSE, 2 Unzip Main2dot5 files into your Oblivion directory, 3 Copy latest Vtoy.esp in your Oblivion/Data directory. Activate vtoy.esp using OBMM put it last in your mod list. Long explanation: Step1: Install OBSE. Go to http://obse.silverlock.org and download latest version using installation instructions provided there. You will also need to change your Oblivion shortcut to use OBSE, see http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/Category:Oblivion_Script_Extender for detailed instructions. Step2: Install OBMM. See http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/Oblivion_Mod_Manager for details.

9

Step3: Unzip core files.

You must download all the “Main2dotX” files from the Nexus. You need all twelve parts of the archive in a single folder for the 7z file manager to recognize the full archive. Parts 1 to 12 are not full 7z archives they are just parts. The full 12 parts comprise the 7z archive that is what the file manager needs to see to unpack to your nominated destination folder, or 7z default folder. The files are multiple parts of a 7zip archive, that’s why they all need to be in the same folder. Open the 7zip File Manager Menu go to the folder that the files are in and highlight the .001 file press [-] the extract button, and select an Extract to: destination and press [OK] button. Do not forget to Defrag, and run OBMM archive invalidation before you run the game so that everything is in a single file block and easy for Windows and Oblivion to read once you start. 7z is also hosted on TESNexus as File Mirror #1:

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15579 7z File Manager screen shot

. The prime link for 7z is: http://www.7-zip.org/ 10

Core files consist of Vtoy.BSA (which is the main source for meshes, sounds, animations & textures). Two OBSE plugins (Elys silent voices and soundcommand.dll) and one BBB compatible skeleton. Feel free to update those with more recent ones should there be any update after CLS2 release. Step4: Copy the most recent Vtoy.esp I’ll keep vtoy.esp as a discrete file as it’s small and I may update it to fix some bugs or typos that escaped CLS team at the tile of the release. Simply copy it in your Oblivion/Data directory. Step5: Activate vtoy.esp. Start OBMM and select vtoy.esp from the list on your left. Make sure it’s on the bottom of the list. Automatic installation (OMOD) Automatic installation using the OMOD (not available yet, so skip it for now). Claudia’s Little Secret (CLS) OMOD Installation:    

Make sure the latest version of OBSE is installed, the other required plugins are included with CLS Download each part of “Main 2dot5” into a prepared folder (for example: “CLS”) You will need a program, such as 7-Zip, Winrar, or WinACE, to unpack the files into another folder Once the OMOD is unzipped, double click on it and follow its instructions.

General tips and hints. CLS is supposed to be played by itself but: Level one character may have tough time in some part of the quest. It’s a personal choice as to how you get the fighting, or magic skills, and capabilities. You can quest for them, buy training, read books, etc. I recommend a light set of Armor, a reasonably powerful set of enchanted weapons, and the proficiency to use them to good effect as a starter. The choice of armor for your player is yours but in-line with the game it needs to be light and reasonable well protecting. Similarly your player’s weapons need to be capable of killing attackers quickly. If you are on an escort quest, both your player and escorted companion can be attacked – if the escorted companion dies. You have two choices: 1) continue the game without a necessary character, or 2) re-load your last save game and play the sequence again. I recommend you start a new game, but when you leave the Imperial Prison by the sewer gate you have the choice of following the main quest, or Claudia’s Quests. My recommendation is to ignore the main quest and play Claudia. You will need skill at arms, and money. How you get them is your choice. A few filled soul gems will allow a skilled armorer in restoring of depleted enchanted weapons, or armor.

Hints and tips on optimizing your computer to run Oblivion A good first action is a little house keeping. Defragment your hard disk. The desired effect is to get all of that large Vtoy.bsa into one continuous block on your hard disk Where OB can easily read it and put the pieces together to render a cut scene and animations in accordance with the instructions in the Vtoy.esp. Look at what you have running on your PC besides Oblivion. Things such as TSR’s (terminate and stay resident, active internet and Web links, utilities and additional Antiviral and anti - intrusion software. Many of these programs are personal preference and are not necessary for running Oblivion in a standalone environment, more importantly they use the PC’s available memory, which limits the memory available for Oblivion1. Before you start playing Oblivion and Claudia’s little Secret use OBMM to place Vtoy.esp as the last ESP to be loaded in the mod load order Run the archive invalidation utility Open OBMM select Utilities>archive invalidation (.)BSA alteration, tick all the 'file types to include' boxes and press the [Update now] button. That should force a rescan of the now defragmented Vtoy.BSA file Run the new conflict detection utility, and investigate any lines listed against a (+) sign under Vtoy.esp I strongly recommend you uninstall, or deactivate any mod that indicates a confliction, and deactivate any mod you are not using. Other mod with animations, particularly ones that have modified common named and customized idle animations files should be disabled. If you have doubts, ask the question by posting a comment on the mod page. In some cases you may find someone else has had a problem, and an answer, or advice on what to do is already available. If you do not receive an answer after two days, you may PM one of the team member (the list is in appendix X). Please consider obsolescence of this document. If you’re running Oblivion in an emulator and we’re in 2015, chances are we cannot help you anymore. Once you start playing, refer frequently to your quest journal. The game requires you to pick up hints from Player & NPC dialogue, the quest diaries and updates. For the game to progress you need to meet the conditions to trigger the next actions. This may be moving through doors when entering and leaving buildings or past a specific point before using the map to fast travel. In some quests fast travel maybe specifically disabled.

1

Oblivion in default load is limited to using 2GigsBytes of systems memory, unless you are using one of the custom Oblivion Memory extender utilities.

14

Save regularly, either full save or quick save i.e. F5. Never save during the running of a cut scene animation, or when crossing from one scenery block to another2. Remember certain actions can only happen once you satisfy the elapsed game time criteria3.

FAQ 

I have no clue what to do next help!

As opposed to most Vanilla quests, CLS ones need you to read your journal so… Read your Journal4: It contains valuable information you won't see anywhere else. Also check if no new quests appeared in your journal, it’s easy to miss the on screen message about new quests when you’re reading dialogues. 

Where are my quest markers?

Sometimes, quest markers have been deactivated on purpose, in order for you to engage the Player in the adventure. Make sure you CHECK YOUR QUEST LOGS. And feel free to explore your surroundings. Some quest pointers are not pointing precisely to the objective or are missing. It's on purpose. Don't mention it to me. If it prevents you to achieve your goal there's always the walkthrough. 

Why do I have a black screen? I was in the middle of a cutscene!

Again, make sure you have toggled the TCL and TFC commands. 

Where is the shrine?

The corner of the rug closest to the room the player can rent. 

Help! I am waiting for Augusta/Claudia to enter the shrine, but they never do!

This is answered in the walkthrough. Again, make sure you allow both Calidia to enter the shrine first, then follow them in afterwards. 

I'm done with the main quest, what now?

Follow the NPCs on their daily routine, you may have missed some interesting aspects. Did you claim your reward? Check last section. 

Where the fuck is Michelle???

Michelle will not arrive at the TS until you let the 4 cutscenes where we saw her lost trigger. First cutscene will trigger next day after you left her between 11 am and noon Second next day of 1 between 11 am and 6 pm Third next day of 2, between 11am and 3 pm 4

Read the fucking manual. Literally…

16

Fourth next day of 3, afer 4pm. 

My animation was interrupted in the middle and the NPC stopped and get dressed what happened?

Round hour: Oblivion engine eavaluates AI packages every time the hour change. If you have an animation starting at 5:57 for example and your timescale is default 30:1 then after 6 seconds the animation probably will break. You can change timescale in the console or wait for a better moment to start it. Don't ask me how, there's plenty of explanation on the web. 

I try to create a new character using CLS race but is completely wrong why?

CLs races are flagged playable in the CS only because of an old Oblivion bug that prevents dialogues to be correctly handled if not. Do not play a CLS race. I may change and fix it in the future. CLS races are not supposed to be played at the time. 

I heard about the cut scenes and the timing, what’s going on?

Lisbeth & Han: CS1 & 2 will trigger one day after Sarah joins the team, between 9 and 10 am. Michelle’s: CS1 will trigger next day after you left her between 11 am and noon CS2 one day after CS1 1 between 11 am and 6 pm CS3 1 day after CS2, between 11am and 3 pm CS4 1 day after CS3, after 4pm.

A note on extreme optimization: Optional Re-Installation of Oblivion From a purely purist point of view my personal preference would be to back up the old Oblivion installation, and save games. Reinstall Oblivion and Shivering Isles with the official patches, then add the clothing, armor, and weapon mods you intend to use (after first making sure that they are not going to conflict with Claudia little Secret advance animations, or scripts). An alternative, If you are going to re-install, and have sufficient disk space (on your Oblivion Install Hard Disk) you can re-name your existing installation i.e. Oblivion_Bac, and parallel install the new copy of Oblivion beside it. The install will remove your Windows Registry settings for Oblivion, and create a new almost identical registry set of settings. The advantage is - If you ever want to go back to your old OB, all you have to do is rename your last install Oblivion_BAK and rename Oblivion_BAC to Oblivion. As far as the Windows Registry is concerned it is still playing your default installed Oblivion. It's a quick and useful trick for switching between Oblivion installations with a minimum of fuss.

The Goddess awaits her faithful…dare to be counted amongst them, and the rewards could be yours.

Cheats.5 The command line shortcuts that are of most use are: TGM - Toggle god mode6 Player.AddItem f 100000 - or some lesser number will give the player a war chest of 100000 gold to start buying things. Player.modPCS name of Skill Value will allow you to increase you character combat, magicka or other skills quickly without having to run around Cyrodiil picking fights, or buying training. Remember reading some books can also increase various skills. Resethealth - command is also useful, simply highlight a companion, or the player (from 3rd person view) and press the enter key, or the appropriate mouse button to restore that character health to its default value. A dead quest companion stops that portion of the quest. The full lists of command line shortcuts, or cheats are available from a number of sites. For evil races: The fix is one, or several console command line alteration of 'F1 Accomplishment' settings. Use of command line settings may be necessary to overcome evil race attributes. Settings such as: SetPCfame SetPCInfamey Player.setcrimegold

Do not cheat; it’ll ruin your game experience. The reward is a lot sweeter when you deserve it. Besides, I’ll kill a Khajiit kitten every time one of you cheat. 6

Known Conflicting mods Conflicting is by definition what a mod does. If you create a mod that add a leek (for example) into a game cell, well, you conflict with the Vanilla absence of the leek. If you modify the place of a pumpkin in a field, you conflict with original placement. Now, those two examples will probably have no consequence on the game but what if a third mod absolutely need the pumpkin to be in it’s original place? This is where we have load order. In OBMM, the last mod on the list, the last one to decide on the pumpkin. Example: Vanilla: Pumpkin is in the barrow Mod A: move the pumpkin to Barn. Mod B: move the pumpkin to Field. In OBMM if you have        

mod mod mod B mod mod mod A mod mod

Then the pumpkin is in the Barn.

Now, if our mod C needs the pumpkin to be in the Field, simply move mod B below mod A or deactivate mod A. If, unfortunately, mod C needs the pumpkin in the barrow; you have no choice but to deactivate A & B. That’s the theory... Animations replacers/Poses mods. You can see the animations in Oblivion as a list the engine browse until he finds something to do: If I add my animations on top of the list, then they will be played nearly immediately but they can be played in awkward situations. For example, I may want my NPC to rake if he has a rake in his inventory 23

and if he’s in the field. Fine. Now what happened if a mod add a sitting NPC on stool in the field with a rake in his inventory? Well then, he’ll rake on his stool, that’s it. To avoid that, you should put your animations below the sitting ones in the list. This way your NPC will rake only if he matches above requirements and he’s not sitting. Because of that, I added CLS animations on the bottom of the list so they don’t prevent any other ones to work except if they also put it on the bottom of the list. In this particular case, load order will be important. Solution is simple: deactivate those mods. Most of the time this kind of mod doesn’t contain any valuable information so nothing will be lost by disabling then re-enabling them after CLS is finished. Or as you may not want to keep CLS after completion, just get back to your old save game like nothing happened. Game mod scripts and forced equipment. The other ways a mod can prevent animations to play is by running a script that’ll constantly modify your character’s appearance. Cut scenes make the real player character invisible by forcing meshless equipment. If you do have, for example, a script that will not allow you to remove a piece of clothing, you’ll run into trouble. Again, deactivate those mods, try to find the culprit if you happen to be in a situation where your character clone doesn’t behave as expected or if the cutscene never works. Terrain modifications, AI path changes. Now there could be also some minor conflicts due to the terrain. Do not run any mod that will modifiy the Tiber Septim hotel and the region around dragonclaw. It could work, or not, or lead to strange results like NPCs being prevented to do what they should because their path is now blocked. Some even old mods simply ignored re-pathing after terrain modification. In most cases, NPCs will find an alternative road, in worst case, your NPC will finish splattered on the floor of a cliff or drown in the river. List of known mods you should deactivate while playing CLS: Mods that’ll prevent CLS animations to play and thus needs to be deactivated:   

Sexy Idle animations included in Colourwheel's Imperial Guard mod Mods that modifies terrain used by CLS Glenvaar Castle : if NPCs runs like a headless hen, hit T and wait an hour.

List of known mods that may lead to trouble playing CLS:  Kvatch Aftermath and C&C - The Blackwood Company conflict in dialogues at the inn for Lidya)  BetterInns_and_NewHomeOwners by Sylar0712 (some doors problems)
