FOREWORD This volume is the continuation of the books Chess Tactics for Beginners 1-2. Its author demonstrates in the same manner, in diagrams, the various basic types of mates, motifs and tactical possibilities. The 10 topics dealt with are the following: I. Mate in one move 11. Mixed combinations Its young author can be proud of his significant successes: he was three-time National Age Group Champion, finished 5th in the Junior European Championship, and came in 10th in the Junior World Championship. When he started playing chess as a beginner, a large part of his rapid development was owed to a thorough study of types of positions similar to those shown in this book. VORWORT Der vorliegende Band ist die Fortsetzung des Buches Schach-Taktik fur Anfanger 1-2. Der Autor arbeitet in der gewohnt bekannten Art und Weise: mit Diagrammen, die die verschiedenen Typen des Matts, Grundmotive und taktische Moglichkeiten darstellen. Platz und bei der JuniorenWeltmeisterschaft kam er in die Top-Ten. Seit den Anfangen seiner Schach-Karriere machte er mit den im Buch dargestellten Methoden schnelle und offensichtliche Entwicklungsspriinge. PREFACE Ce volume est la suite du livre La tactique aux echecs pour le debutant 1-2.
