Description

Both internal and external chemical environments need to be considered when evaluating this chemical resistance table. Chemical resistance of the selected plastic must be verified with the chemical(s) being used. Compatibility not only varies by material and chemical, but also by other variables such as: stress level, concentration and temperature.

One should also pay close attention to cleaning agents that are used to wipe down dust and dirt from piping systems. Some common cleaners may attack the piping material causing premature failure.

HOW TO USE THE CHEMICAL RESISTANCE TABLE TABLE Example: Alcohol, Isopropyl

PVC is recommended recommended for use. CPVC is not recomm recommended ended for use. use. PP is recommended for use use up to 150 F. PVDF is recommended for use up to 140 F.
