Surface Wellhead/Tree Rod Pump Stuffing Box Shown here are two models of a polished a  polished rod stuffing box. Polished Rod Flapper Shut-Off Valve

The stuffing box is made up to a pump jack wellhead and provides a seal around the polished rod which is the top rod of the rod string. Both models are designed to seal around the polished rod but the PCE stuffing st uffing box includes a flapper shut-off valve which closes should the polished rod part.
