As  the  Entrance  Hymn  is  sung,  the  Archbishop  comes  to  the  altar,  kisses   it,  and  incenses  it.    

With  the  ministers,  he  goes  to  the  chair.

The  Archbishop  says:

Peace  be  with  you.       R.     And  with  your  spirit.     INTRODUCTION  TO  THE  CELEBRATION  AND   PENITENTIAL  RITE       The   Archbishop   briefly   introduces   the   celebration   today   with   these   or   similar  words:    

Together,  as  one  people   we  present  ourselves  to  the  Lord   to  implore  His  mercy  and  grace   for  the  First  National  Conference   of  Catholic  Cultural  Centers   which  we  commence  today.

Then  follows  the  Penitential  Act.       The  Archbishop:  

Brothers  and  sisters,     let  us  acknowledge  our  sins,   and  so  prepare  ourselves     to  celebrate  the  sacred  mysteries.      

V.   Have  mercy  on  us,  Lord.   R.     For  we  have  sinned  against  you.    

V.   Show  us,  O  Lord,  your  mercy.   R.     And  grant  us  your  salvation.     The  absolution  by  the  Archbishop  follows:

He  extends  his  hands  and  prays:    

O  God,   who  raised  up  Pope  Saint  Callistus  the  First   to  serve  the  Church   and  attend  devoutly  to  Christ'ʹs  faithful  departed   strengthen  us,  we  pray,  by  his  witness  to  the  faith,   so  that,  rescued  from  the  slavery  of  corruption,   we  may  merit  an  incorruptible  inheritance.   Through  our  Lord  Jesus  Christ,  your  Son,   who  lives  and  reigns  with  you     in  the  unity  of  the  Holy  Spirit   one  God,  for  ever  and  ever.

LITURGY  OF  THE  WORD  

  FIRST  READING  

 

Through  Christ  Jesus  we  have  received  the  grace  of  apostleship   to  bring  about  the  obedience  of  faith  among  the  Gentiles.    

A  reader  proclaims  the  first  reading  from  the  ambo.      

A  reading  from  the  letter  of  Saint  Paul  to  the  Romans.   1:1-­‐‑7       Paul,   a   slave   of   Christ   Jesus,   called   to   be   an   Apostle   and   set   apart   for   the   Gospel   of   God,   which   he   promised   previously   through   his   prophets   in   the   holy   Scriptures,   the   Gospel   about   his   Son,   descended   from   David   according   to   the   flesh,   but   established   as   Son   of   God   in   power   according   to   the   Spirit   of   holiness   through   resurrection   from   the   dead,   Jesus   Christ   our   Lord.   Through   him   we   have   received   the   grace   of   apostleship,   to  bring  about  the  obedience  of  faith,  for  the  sake  of  his  name,   among   all   the   Gentiles,   among   whom   are   you   also,   who   are   called   to   belong   to   Jesus   Christ;   to   all   the   beloved   of   God   in   Rome,  called  to  be  holy.  Grace  to  you  and  peace  from  God  our   Father  and  the  Lord  Jesus  Christ.

The  deacon  greets  the  assembled  faithful  and  announces  the  Gospel:

A  reading  from  the  Holy  Gospel  according  to  St  Luke.      11:29-­‐‑32    

R.  

Glory  to  You,  O  Lord.    

 

The  deacon  incenses  the  book  and  proclaims  the  gospel.      

While   still   more   people   gathered   in   the   crowd,   Jesus   said   to   them,  “This  generation  is  an  evil  generation;  it  seeks  a  sign,  but   no  sign  will  be  given  it,  except  the  sign  of  Jonah.  Just  as  Jonah   became  a  sign  to  the  Ninevites,  so  will  the  Son  of  Man  be  to  this   generation.   At   the   judgment   the   queen   of   the   south   will   rise   with   the   men   of   this   generation   and   she   will   condemn   them,   because  she  came  from  the  ends  of  the  earth  to  hear  the  wisdom   of  Solomon,  and  there  is  something  greater  than  Solomon  here.   At   the   judgment   the   men   of   Nineveh   will   arise   with   this   generation   and   condemn   it,   because   at   the   preaching   of   Jonah   they  repented,  and  there  is  something  greater  than  Jonah  here.”

While   the   choir   and   the   assembly   repeat   the   acclamation,   the   deacon   carries   the   Book   of   the   Gospels   to   the   Archbishop,   who   kisses   it   and   blesses  the  assembly  with  it.        

HOMILY    

The  Archbishop  preaches  the  homily.    

GENERAL  INTERCESSIONS     The  Archbishop:    

My  brothers  and  sisters,   we  are  gathered  to  celebrate  the  mystery   of  our  salvation  in  Jesus  Christ.   Let  us  ask  God  our  Father   to  open  for  all  the  world   this  fountain  of  life  and  blessing.    

Cantor:     Let  us  pray  to  the  Lord.      

R./     Lord,  hear  our  prayer.  (sung)      

1.  For  Pope  Francis,  for  all  ministers  of  the  Church,  and  for  the   people   they   are   called   to   lead   and   serve:   that   united   in   one   Spirit  they  may  be  true  servants  of  the  Gospel.   Let  us  pray  to  the  Lord.    

R./     Lord,  hear  our  prayer.  (sung)    

2.   For   those   who   serve   us   in   public   office   and   for   all   those   entrusted   with   the   common   good:   that   they   may   never   ignore   the  cry  of  the  oppressed  but  come  to  the  aid  of  those  in  need.   Let  us  pray  to  the  Lord.

4.   For   an   increase   in   vocations:   that   after   the   example   of   St.   Calistus,  men  and  women  may  hear  the  invitation  to  lead  with   courage  and  to  serve  with  love.   Let  us  pray  to  the  Lord.

5.  For  our  young  people:  that  as  valued  members  of  the  Body  of   Christ  they  may  always  choose  the  path  that  leads  to  life.   Let  us  pray  to  the  Lord.

6.  For  those  who  have  died  in  the  hope  of  rising  again:  that  they   may  know  the  presence  of  God  forever.   Let  us  pray  to  the  Lord.

The  Archbishop  says:    

Father,   hear  the  prayers  of  your  people.   Give  us  what  you  have  inspired  us   to  ask  you  for  in  faith.

LITURGY  OF  THE  EUCHARIST  

PRESENTATION  OF  THE  GIFTS    

In   the   presentation   of   the   gifts,   some   members   of   the   faithful   bring   forward  the  gifts  to  the  altar.    

PREPARATION  OF  THE  ALTAR  AND  THE  GIFTS    

During  the  preparation  of  the  gifts,  an  Offertory  Hymn  is  sung  and  the   altar  table  is  prepared  by  the  acolytes.    

Paghahandog    

 

Panginoon,  Panginoon,     naririto  akong  iyong  lingkod.   Panginoon,  Panginoon,   yamang  ako'ʹy  iniligtas,   Kinalinga'ʹt  tinubos.   Ako  ngayo'ʹy  naghahandog     ng  haing  pasasalamat.   Ang  handog  kong  panalangi'ʹy   sa  iyo  ilalagak.    

When  the  Altar  and  the  gifts  have  been  prepared,  the  Archbishop  takes   the   paten   with   the   bread   and   holding   it   slightly   raised   above   the   altar,   says:    

Blessed  are  you,  Lord  God  of  all  creation,   for  through  your  goodness  we  have  received   the  bread  we  offer  you:   fruit  of  the  earth  and  work  of  human  hands,   it  will  become  for  us  the  bread  of  life.      

R./       Blessed  be  God  for  ever.

Wine  and  a  little  water  is  poured  unto  the  chalice,  saying:    

 

By  the  mystery  of  this  water  and  wine   may  we  come  to  share  in  the  divinity  of  Christ   who  humbled  himself  to  share  in  our  humanity.     The   Archbishop   takes   the   chalice,   and,   holding   it   slightly   raised   above   the  altar,  says:    

Blessed  are  you,  Lord  God  of  all  creation,   for  through  your  goodness  we  have  received   the  wine  we  offer  you:     fruit  of  the  vine  and  work  of  human  hands,   it  will  become  our  spiritual  drink.    

R./

Blessed  be  God  for  ever.  

 

The  Archbishop  bows  and  says  inaudibly:    

With  humble  spirit  and  contrite  heart     may  we  be  accepted  by  you,  O  Lord,   and  may  our  sacrifice  in  your  sight  this  day   be  pleasing  to  you,  Lord  God.  

  Next,   the   Archbishop   stands   at   the   side   of   the   altar   and   washes   his   hands,  saying  inaudibly:    

Wash  me,  O  Lord,  from  my  iniquity   and  cleanse  me  from  my  sin.

Pray,  brethren,  that  my  sacrifice  and  yours   may  be  acceptable  to  God,  the  almighty  Father.    

R./       May  the  Lord  accept  the  sacrifice  at  your  hands,   for  the  praise  and  glory  of  His  name,   for  our  good,  and  the  good  of  all  His  holy  Church.      

PRAYER  OVER  THE  GIFTS    

Sanctify  our  offerings  by  your  blessing,   O  Lord,  we  pray,   and  by  your  grace  may  we  be  set  afire   with  that  flame  of  your  love   through   which   Saint   Callistus   overcame   every   bodily     torment.   Through  Christ  our  Lord.

For  the  blood  of  your  blessed  martyr  Callistus,   poured  out  like  Christ'ʹs  to  glorify  your  Name,   shows  forth  your  marvelous  works,   by  which  you  perfect  your  power  in  weakness     and  strengthen  the  weak  to  bear  witness  to  you,   through  Christ  our  Lord.    

And  so,  with  the  Powers  of  heaven,     we  worship  you  constantly  on  earth,     and  before  your  majesty  without  end  we  acclaim:

EUCHARISTIC  PRAYER  II    

  All  kneel.  The  Archbishop,  with  hands  extended,  says:    

You  are  indeed  Holy,  O  Lord,   the  fount  of  all  holiness.    

He  joins  his  hands  and  holding  them  outstretched  over  the  offerings,  and   together  with  his  concelebrants,  says:    

Make  holy,  therefore,  these  gifts,  we  pray,   by   sending   down   your   Spirit   upon   them   like   the   dewfall,    

He   joins   his   hands,   and,   making   the   sign   of   the   cross   once   over   both   bread  and  chalice,  says:    

so  that  they  may  become  for  us   the  Body  and  ✠  Blood  of  our  Lord  Jesus  Christ.      

He  joins  his  hands.      

The  words  of  the  Lord  in  the  following  formula  should  be  spoken  clearly   and  distinctly,  as  their  meanings  demand.    

At  the  time  he  was  betrayed   and  entered  willingly  into  his  Passion,    

He  takes  the  bread,  raising  it  a  little  above  the  altar,  continues:    

he  took  bread  and,  giving  thanks,  broke  it,   and  gave  it  to  his  disciples,  saying:

He  bows  slightly.    

TAKE  THIS,  ALL  OF  YOU,  AND  EAT  OF  IT,   FOR  THIS  IS  MY  BODY,   WHICH  WILL  BE  GIVEN  UP  FOR  YOU.    

He  shows  the  consecrated  host  to  the  people,  places  it  on  the  paten,  and   genuflects  in  adoration.  He  continues:    

In  a  similar  way,  when  supper  was  ended,    

He   takes   the   chalice   and,   holding   it   slightly   raised   above   the   altar,   continues:    

he  took  the  chalice   and,  once  more  giving  thanks,   he  gave  it  to  his  disciples,  saying:    

He  bows  slightly.    

TAKE  THIS,  ALL  OF  YOU,  AND  DRINK  FROM  IT,   FOR  THIS  IS  THE  CHALICE  OF  MY  BLOOD,   THE   BLOOD   OF   THE   NEW   AND   ETERNAL     COVENANT,   WHICH  WILL  BE  POURED  OUT  FOR  YOU     AND  FOR  MANY  FOR  THE  FORGIVENESS  OF  SINS.   DO  THIS  IN  MEMORY  OF  ME.    

He   shows   the   chalice   to   the   people,   places   it   on   the   corporal,   and   genuflects  in  adoration.  Then  he  says:    

The  mystery  of  faith.

Save  us,  Savior  of  the  World   For  by  Your  cross  and  resurrection   You  have  set  us  free.  

  The  Archbishop,  with  hands  extended,  says:  

Therefore,  as  we  celebrate   the  memorial  of  his  Death  and  Resurrection,   we  offer  you,  Lord,   the  Bread  of  life  and  the  Chalice  of  salvation,   giving  thanks  that  you  have  held  us  worthy   to  be  in  your  presence  and  minister  to  you.    

Humbly  we  pray   that,  partaking  of  the  Body  and  Blood  of  Christ,   we  may  be  gathered  into  one  by  the  Holy  Spirit.    

One  of  the  concelebrants:  

Remember,  Lord,  your  Church,   spread  throughout  the  world,   and  bring  her  to  the  fullness  of  charity,   together  with  Francis  our  Pope     and  Reynaldo  our  Bishop,   and  all  the  clergy.    

One  of  the  concelebrants:  

Remember  also  our  brothers  and  sisters   who  have  fallen  asleep  in  the  hope  of  the  resurrection,   and  all  who  have  died  in  your  mercy:   welcome  them  into  the  light  of  your  face.

One  of  the  concelebrants:    

Have  mercy  on  us  all,  we  pray,   that  with  the  Blessed  Virgin  Mary,  Mother  of  God,   with  blessed  Joseph,  her  Spouse   with  the  blessed  Apostles,   and  all  the  Saints  who  have  pleased  you  throughout  the  ages,   we  may  merit  to  be  coheirs  to  eternal  life,   and  may  praise  and  glorify  you    

 

He  joins  his  hands.    

through  your  Son,  Jesus  Christ.  

  The  Archbishop  takes  the  paten  with  the  host   and  the  deacon  takes  the   chalice,  lifting  them  up  and  together  with  the  Concelebrants,  says:    

Through  him,  and  with  him,  and  in  him,   O  God,  almighty  Father,   in  the  unity  of  the  Holy  Spirit,   all  glory  and  honor  is  yours,   for  ever  and  ever.   R./       Amen.

Lord  Jesus  Christ,  who  said  to  your  Apostles:   Peace  I  leave  you,  my  peace  I  give  you;   look  not  on  our  sins  but  on  the  faith  of  your  Church,   and  graciously  grant  her  peace  and  unity   in  accordance  with  your  will.   Who  live  and  reign  for  ever  and  ever.

  Jesus  returned  to  Galilee  in  the  power  of  the  Spirit,     and  news  of  him  spread  throughout  the  whole  region.     He  taught  in  their  synagogues  and  was  praised  by  all.   He  came  to  Nazareth,  where  he  had  grown  up,     and  went  according  to  his  custom     into  the  synagogue  on  the  sabbath  day.     He  stood  up  to  read  and  was  handed  a  scroll  of  the  prophet  Isaiah.   He  unrolled  the  scroll  and  found  the  passage  where  it  was  written:   The  Spirit  of  the  Lord  is  upon  me,     because  he  has  anointed  me       to  bring  glad  tidings  to  the  poor.   He  has  sent  me  to  proclaim  liberty  to  captives     and  recovery  of  sight  to  the  blind,       to  let  the  oppressed  go  free,   and  to  proclaim  a  year  acceptable  to  the  Lord.

Rolling  up  the  scroll,  he  handed  it  back  to  the  attendant  and  sat  down,     and  the  eyes  of  all  in  the  synagogue  looked  intently  at  him.     He  said  to  them,     “Today  this  Scripture  passage  is  fulfilled  in  your  hearing.”     And  all  spoke  highly  of  him     and  were  amazed  at  the  gracious  words  that  came  from  his  mouth.     The  Gospel  of  the  Lord.

PREPARATION  OF  THE  ALTAR  AND  THE  GIFTS    

During  the  preparation  of  the  gifts,  an  Offertory  Hymn  is  sung  and  the   altar  table  is  prepared  by  the  acolytes.    

When   the   Altar   and   the   gifts   have   been   prepared,   the   Bishop   takes   the   paten  with  the  bread  and  holding  it  slightly  raised  above  the  altar,  says:    

Blessed  are  you,  Lord  God  of  all  creation,   for  through  your  goodness  we  have  received   the  bread  we  offer  you:   fruit  of  the  earth  and  work  of  human  hands,   it  will  become  for  us  the  bread  of  life.      

R./       Blessed  be  God  for  ever.        

Wine  and  a  little  water  is  poured  unto  the  chalice,  saying:    

 

By  the  mystery  of  this  water  and  wine   may  we  come  to  share  in  the  divinity  of  Christ   who  humbled  himself  to  share  in  our  humanity.    

The   Bishop   takes   the   chalice,   and,   holding   it   slightly   raised   above   the   altar,  says:    

Blessed  are  you,  Lord  God  of  all  creation,   for  through  your  goodness  we  have  received   the  wine  we  offer  you:     fruit  of  the  vine  and  work  of  human  hands,   it  will  become  our  spiritual  drink.

The  Bishop  bows  and  says  inaudibly:

  Next,   the   Bishop   stands   at   the   side   of   the   altar   and   washes   his   hands,   saying  inaudibly:

Pray,  brethren,  that  my  sacrifice  and  yours   may  be  acceptable  to  God,  the  almighty  Father.

He  joins  his  hands  and  holding  them  outstretched  over  the  offerings,  and   together  with  his  concelebrants,  says:    

Therefore,  O  Lord,  we  humbly  implore  you:   by  the  same  Spirit  graciously  make  holy   these  gifts  we  have  brought  to  you  for  consecration,    

He   joins   his   hands,   and,   making   the   sign   of   the   cross   once   over   both   bread  and  chalice,  says:    

that  they  may  become  the  Body  ✠  and  Blood     of  your  Son,  our  Lord  Jesus  Christ,     at  whose  command  we  celebrate  these  mysteries.

The  words  of  the  Lord  in  the  following  formula  should  be  spoken  clearly   and  distinctly,  as  their  meanings  demand.

In  a  similar  way,  when  supper  was  ended,  he  took  the  chalice,   and,  giving  you  thanks,  he  said  the  blessing,   and  gave  the  chalice  to  his  disciples,  saying:

May  the  receiving  of  your  Body  and  Blood,  Lord  Jesus  Christ,   not  bring  me  to  judgment  and  condemnation,   but  through  your  loving  mercy   be  for  me  protection  in  mind  and  body  and  a  healing  remedy.    

COMMUNION    

He   genuflects.   Taking   the   host,   he   raises   it   slightly   over   the   paten   and,   facing  the  people,  says  aloud:

Sino   ka   mang   humatol   sa   iba,   wala   kang   maidadahilan.   Sapagkat   sa   paghatol  mo  sa  iba,  hinahatulan  mo  rin  ang  iyong  sarili,  palibhasa,  ikaw   na   humahatol   ay   gumagawa   rin   ng   gayun.   Nalalaman   nating   makatarungan   ang   hatol   ng   Diyos   laban   sa   mga   gumagawa   niyon.   Akala   mo   ba’y   makaiiwas   ka   sa   hatol   ng   Diyos   kung   hatulan   mo   ang   mga   gumagawa   ng   mga   maling   gawaing   ginagawa   mo   rin?   O   hinahamak   mo   ang   Diyos,   sapagkat   siya’y   napakabuti,   mapagpigil,   at   mapagpaumanhin?   Hindi   mo   ba   alam   na   binibigyan   ka   niya   ng   pagkakataong   magsisi   at   magbagong-­‐‑buhay   kaya   napakabuti   niya   sa   iyo?  Ngunit  dahil  sa  katigasan  ng  iyong  ulo  at  di  pagsisisi,  pinabibigat   mo  ang  parusang  ipapataw  sa  iyo  sa  pahayag  ng  poot  ng  Diyos  sa  Araw   ng  kanyang  paghatol.  Sapagkat  siya  ang  gaganti  sa  lahat  ng  tao  ayon  sa   kanyang   gawa.   Ang   mga   nagpapatuloy   ng   paggawa   ng   mabuti   sa   paghahangad   ng   karangalan,   kadakilaan,   at   kawalang-­‐‑kamatayan   ay   bibigyan   ng   pagkakabaha-­‐‑bahagi   at   ayaw   sumunod   sa   katotohanan   kundi   sa   kalikuan.   Paghihirap   at   kapighatian   ang   daranasin   ng   bawat   gumagawa   ng   masama,   una   ang   mga   Judio   at   ganun   din   ang   mga   Griego.  Ngunit  karangalan,  kapurihan  at  kapayapaan  ang  tatamuhin  ng   bawat   gumagawa   ng   mabuti,   una,   ang   mga   Judio,   at   gayun   din   ang   mga  Griego.  Sapagkat  ang  Diyos  ay  di  nagtatangi.

PAGHAHANDA  NG  MGA  ALAY    

Ilalagay   ng   mga   tagapaglingkod   ang   telang   patungan   ng   Katawan   ni   Kristo,  ang  pamahiran,  ang  kalis,  at  ang  Aklat  ng  Pagmimisa  sa  ibabaw   ng  Dambana.    

Ngayon   nama’y   tatayo   ang   Obispo   sa   gawing   gitna   ng   dambana,   hahawakan  niya  ang  pinggan  ng  tinapay  nang  bahagyang  nakaangat  sa   dambana,  habang  dinarasal  niya  nang  pabulong:    

Kapuri-­‐‑puri  ka,  Diyos  Amang  Lumikha  sa  sanlibutan.   Sa  iyong  kagandahang-­‐‑loob,  narito  ang  aming  maiaalay.     Mula  sa  lupa  at  bunga  ng  aming  paggawa  ang  tinapay  na  ito     para  maging  pagkaing  nagbibigay-­‐‑buhay.

Sa  paghahalong  ito  ng  alak  at  tubig   kami  nawa’y  makasalo  sa  pagka-­‐‑Diyos  ni  Kristo   na  nagpagindapat  makihati  sa  aming  pagkatao.

Kapuri-­‐‑puri  ka,  Diyos  Amang  Lumikha  sa  sanlibutan.   Sa  iyong  kagandahang-­‐‑loob,  narito  ang  aming  maiaalay.     Mula  sa  katas  ng  ubas  at  bunga  ng  aming  paggawa     ang  alak  na  ito     para  maging  inuming  nagbibigay-­‐‑buhay.

V./    Pasalamatan  natin  ang  Panginoong  ating  Diyos.   R./ Marapat  na  siya  ay  pasalamatan.    

Ama  naming  makapangyarihan   tunay  ngang  marapat  na  ikaw  ay  aming  pasalamatan.    

Ngayo’y  ikinagagalak  naming  may  mga  banal  na  tao   na  nagtalaga  sa  sarili  sa  Anak  mong  si  Hesukristo   upang  ipamalas  nila  ang  paghahari  mo   at  maakit  ang  kapwa  na  manalig  sa  iyo.   Ngayon  sa  ami’y  ibinibigay  ng  iyong  anak  na  minamahal   ang  kabanalang  iyong  taglay   at  hangad  mong  kamtin  ng  tanan.   Ito  ang  pinangagalingang  amin  ngayong  nililingon.   Dito  mo  rin  nais  na  kami’y  makarating  at  humantong.    

Kaya  kaisa  ng  mga  anghel   na  nagsisiawit  ng  papuri  sa  iyo   nang  walang  humpay  sa  kalangitan,   kami’y  nagbubunyi  sa  iyong  kadakilaan:    

Santo,  Santo,  Santo,  Panginoong  Diyos  ng  mga  hukbo!   Napupuno  ang  langit  at  lupa  ng  kadakilaan  mo!   Osana  sa  kaitaasan!   Pinagpala  ang  naparirito  sa  ngalan    ng  Panginoon.   Osana  sa  kaitaasan!

Luluhod  ang  lahat.  Nakalahad  ang  kamay  ng  Obispo  sa  pagdarasal:    

Ama  naming  banal,   dapat  kang  purihin  ng  tanang  kinapal   sapagka’t  sa  pamamagitan  ng  iyong  Anak   na  aming  Panginoong  Hesukristo   at  sa  kapangyarihan  ng  Banal  na  Espiritu   ang  lahat  ay  binibigyan  mo  ng  buhay  at  kabanalan.   Walang  sawa  mong  tinitipon  ang  iyong  sambayanan   upang  mula  sa  pagsikat  hanggang  sa  paglubong  ng  araw   maihandog  ang  malinis  na  alay   para  sambahin  ang  iyong  ngalan.    

Pagdaraupin  niya  ang  kanyang  mga  kamay  at  lulukuban  ng  mga  kamay   niya  ang  mga  alay  habang  siya’y  nagdarasal:    

Ama,  isinasamo  naming  pakabanalin  mo   sa  kapangyarihan  ng  Banal  na  Espiritu   ang  mga  kaloob  na  ito  na  aming  inilalaan  sa  iyo    

Pagdaraupin  ng  Obispo  ang  kanyang  mga  kamay  at  kukrusan  niya  ang   tinapay  at  kalis  samantalang  kanyang  dinarasal:    

Ito  nawa  ay  maging  Katawan  at  ✠  Dugo   ng  iyong  Anak  at  aming  Panginoong  Hesukristo.    

Pagdaraupin  niya  ang  kanyang  mga  kamay.      

Ang   mga   salita   ng   Panginoon   sa   mga   sumusunod   na   pangungusap   ay   ipapahayag  nang  malinaw  at  nauunawaan  ng  tanan  ayon  sa  hinihingi  ng   kahulugan  ng  mga  ito.    

Noong  gabing  ipinagkalulo  siya,    

Hahawakan   ng   Obispo   ang   tinapay   nang   bahagyang   naakangat   sa   ibabaw  ng  dambana  habang  patuloy  na  ipinapahayag:

Bahagyang  yuyuko  ang  Obispo:    

TANGGAPIN  NINYONG  LAHAT  ITO  AT  KANIN:   ITO  ANG  AKING  KATAWAN   NA  IHAHANDOG  PARA  SA  IYO.    

Ipapamalas   niya   ang   ostiyang   itinalagang   maging   Katawan   ni   Kristo,   ipapatong  sa  pinggan  at  luluhod  siya  bilang  pagsamba.  Magpapatuloy  siya:    

Gayun  din  naman,  noong  matapos  ang  hapunan,    

Hahawakan  ng  Obispo  ang  kalis  nang  bahagyang  nakataas  sa  ibabaw  ng   dambana  habang  patuloy  na  inihahayag:    

hinawakan  niya  ang  kalis,   muli  ka  niyang  pinasalamatan,   inabot  niya  ang  kalis  sa  kanyang  mga  alagad,   at  sinabi:    

Bahagyang  yuyuko  ang  Obispo:    

TANGGAPIN  NINYONG  LAHAT  ITO  AT  INUMIN:   ITO  ANG  KALIS  NG  AKING  DUGO     NG  BAGO  AT  WALANG  HANGGANG  TIPAN,   ANG  AKING  DUGO  NA  IBUBUHOS     PARA  SA  INYO  AT  PARA  SA  LAHAT     SA  IKAPAGPAPATAWAD  NG  MGA  KASALANAN.   GAWIN  NINYO  ITO  SA  PAG-­‐‑ALALA  SA  AKIN.    

Ipapamalas   niya   ang   kalis,   ipapatong   niya   ito   sa   telang   patungan   ng   Katawan  ni  Kristo,  at  luluhod  siya  bilang  pagsamba.

Pagkatapos,  ipapahayag  ng  Obispo:    

Ipagbunyi  natin  ang  misteryo  ng  pananampalataya.    

Ang  mga  tao  ay  nagbubunyi:    

Sa  krus  mo  at  pagkabuhay,     kami’y  natubos  mong  tunay   Poong  Hesus  naming  mahal,     iligtas  mo  kaming  tanan   ngayon  at  magpakaylan  man.  

 

Ilalahad  ng  Obispo  ang  kanyang  mga  kamay  samantalang  siya  ay  nagdarasal:  

Ama,  ginugunita  namin   ang  pagkamatay  ng  iyong  Anak   na  sa  ami’y  nagligtas   gayun  din  sa  kanyang  muling  pagkabuhay   at  pag-­‐‑akyat  sa  kalangitan   samantalang  ang  kanyang  pagbabalik  ay  pinananabikan   kaya  bilang  pasasalamat  ngayo’y  aming  iniaalay  sa  iyo   ang  buhay  at  banal  na  paghahaing  ito.    

Tunghayan  mo  ang  handog  na  ito  ng  iyong  Simbahan.   Masdan  mo  ang  iyong  anak   na  nag-­‐‑alay  ng  kanyang  buhay   upang  kami  ay  ipagkasundo  sa  iyo.   Loobin  mong  kaming  magsasalu-­‐‑salo   sa  kanyang  Katawan  at  Dugo   ay  mapuspos  ng  Espiritu  Santo   at  maging  isang  katawan  at  isang  diwa  kay  Kristo.

What   occasion   is   there   then   for   boasting?   It   is   ruled   out.   On   what   principle,   that   of   works?   No,   rather   on   the   principle   of   faith.   For   we   consider   that   a   person   is   justified   by   faith   apart   from  works  of  the  law.  Does  God  belong  to  Jews  alone?  Does  he   not  belong  to  Gentiles,  too?  Yes,  also  to  Gentiles,  for  God  is  one   and   will   justify   the   circumcised   on   the   basis   of   faith   and   the   uncircumcised  through  faith.

1.   That   the   Church   may   live   more   faithfully   the   vocation   and   mission   as   a   community   of   Christ’s   disciples   with   a   faith   that   does   justice,   a   faith   that   liberates,   a   faith   that   is   joyfully   celebrated   and   effectively   shared   even   in   moments   of   difficulties,  pressures  and  trying  circumstances.     Let  us  pray  to  the  Lord.

COMMUNION    

He   genuflects.   Taking   the   host,   he   raises   it   slightly   over   the   paten   and,   facing  the  people,  says  aloud:    

Behold  the  Lamb  of  God,   behold  him  who  takes  away  the  sins  of  the  world.   Blessed  are  those  called  to  the  supper  of  the  Lamb.

As  we  draw  to  a  close   the  First  National  Conference     of  Catholic  Cultural  Centers  in  the  Philippines   we  thank  the  Lord  for  the  opportunity   to  gather  as  one  family   and  one  nation   to  sing  His  praises.

The  Bishop:    

Lord  Jesus,     You  have  revealed  the  depth  of  your  love  on  the  cross.   You  have  continued  to  reveal  yourself   to  the  Disciples  on  the  road  to  Emmaus.   We  thank  you  for  having  become  a  pilgrim  with  us   as  we  gathered  for  the  First  National  Conference   of  Catholic  Cultural  Centers.   You  have  come  to  meet  us  on  the  paths  of  life.   You  have  not  left  us  to  ourselves.   You  have  challenged  us     with  your  inspiring  and  demanding  Gospel.   But  above  all,  you  have  entered  our  hearts.   You  have  walked  beside  us  as  a  patient  friend.   You  have  sealed  our  friendship   by  breaking  bread  with  us.   You  have  made  our  hearts  burn   because  we  have  recognized  you  as  the  Messiah,   the  Savior  of  all.   By  doing  this,  you  have  entered  into  us   asking  us  to  share  in  your  work.

And  now  we  ask  you  to  remain  with  us.   You  are  always  with  us,   even  though  we  do  not  always  remain  near  you,   even  though  we  do  not  always  abide  in  you.   This  is  why  we  fail  to  be  witnesses   of  your  presence  among  our  brothers  and  sisters.     Lord  Jesus,   We  ask  you:  help  us  to  remain  always  with  you,   to  be  united  to  you  with  all  the  fervor  of  our  heart,   to  carry  out  gladly  the  mission  you  have  entrusted  us,   to  extend  your  presence,   and  to  be  heralds  of  your  resurrection.     Stay  with  us,  Lord.   Teach  us  and  help  us  to  stay  with  you.

My  dear  People  of  the  Diocese  of  Legazpi,   as  we  close  the  First  National  Conference   of  Catholic  Cultural  Centers   I  entrust  to  you  the  sign  of  our  bond:   the  Cross  of  Christ.   Carry  it  as  a  symbol  of  His  love  for  humanity   and  announce  to  everyone   that  only  in  the  death  and  resurrection  of  Christ   can  we  find  salvation  and  redemption.    

Fr.  Balaguer:    

Your  Excellency:   In  the  name  of  The  Most  Rev.  Joel  Z.  Baylon,     the  clergy  and  religious  of  the  Diocese  of  Legazpi   and  the  people  under  our  pastoral  care   we  accept  with  humility  this  cross   as  we  anticipate  with  joy   our  next  meeting  in  the  Diocese  of  Legazpi.   May  Mary,  Our  Lady  of  Salvation,   and  Pope  Saint  Gregory  the  Great   intercede  for  us  and  with  us  until  our  next  gathering.

The  faithful  will  light  their  candles.  Then,  the  presider  shall  say:    

The  light  we  now  bear  is  a  symbol  of  Christ,   the  Light  of  the  World.   We  received  this  light  in  baptism   and  were  entrusted  to  keep  this  light  burning  brightly.   We  vowed  to  spread  this  light  when  we  were   confirmed.   We  were  charged  to  keep  the  flame  of  faith  alive  in  our   hearts.   We  are  to  walk  always  as  children  of  the  light.   My  dear  brothers  and  sisters,   let  us  spread  the  light,  lumina  pandit.   Let  us  now  renew  our  commitment   to  spread  the  light  of  Christ,   to  tell  the  world  of  God'ʹs  story,   to  tell  the  world  of  his  love.
