Description

Trust is nice.

Proof is better. The reason you can trust Cat® engines with ACERT™ Technology is because they’ve accumulated an estimated 10 million hours of operation.

Proven in lengthy tests. Proven in the real world. RIGHT NOW, CAT ENGINES WITH ACERT TECHNOLOGY ARE DOING WHAT THEY’RE GOOD AT – POWERING MACHINES TO COMPLETE SOME OF THE TOUGHEST JOBS, ON SOME OF THE BUSIEST SITES, ALL OVER THE WORLD. WITH OVER 14,000 ENGINES SHIPPED IN CAT MACHINES, YOU TOO CAN UTILISE A PURER FORM OF ENGINE POWER.

How ACERT Technology works ACERT Technology reduces emissions by going straight to the source, i.e. the combustion process: 1. The ADEM™ A4, an advanced electronic control system precisely controls fuel delivery so that the combustion chamber receives exact amounts of fuel. 2. The precisely-injected fuel then burns in conditions that minimize exhaust emissions and creates optimum engine power. 3. Cat engines with ACERT Technology contain a crossflow cylinder head which enables the engine to breathe easier, while not mixing exhaust gases with clean air.

Proven parts The key elements of ACERT Technology are proven parts and have accumulated millions of kilometres in the on-highway industry.

14,000 engines so far

The clear advantage

With over 14,000 engines with ACERT Technology already shipped, your Track Type Tractors, Large Wheel Loaders, Articulated Trucks, Large Excavators and many more, are all

Caterpillar, on the other hand, uses ACERT Technology to create revolutionary engines that do more than just help clean the air. They burn fuel with more precision and more efficiency, while maintaining engine performance. It’s a solution developed without compromising power or reliability. As a result you get machines that meet the regulations with a superior power system.

Stage IIIA compliant and utilise a purer form of engine power. A time for change Emission regulations are pushing all equipment manufacturers to cut the levels of emissions like NOx, hydrocarbons and particulate matter. Conventional methods of exhaust gas recirculation – basically reintroducing the exhaust – cause increased wear and over time, parts become susceptible to degradation.
