BOP Stack Systems Cameron ram-type BOPs, annular BOPs and gate valves can meet the most basic land drilling needs as well as critical, weight sensitive, harsh environmental platform requirements. Components in Cameron’s subsea BOP stack systems, ram-type BOPs, annular BOPs, gate valves and BOP stack structures incorporate years of field-proven technology and reliability. Choke Manifold Systems Cameron supplies all necessary components for a choke manifold including manual and hydraulic chokes, and H2 chokes, J-2 transmitters, pressure gauges, check valves, buffer tanks and all connecting equipment required to assemble the choke manifold. Riser Systems Cameron riser system components, spider/gimbal, telescoping joint, RST ring, fill-up valve, RF and RD riser joints, termination spool and flex joint are designed to meet the stringent requirements for drilling in deep water. Control Systems Cameron offers a complete hydraulic control system as well as a multiplex control system for subsea drilling applications. Cameron supplies all the components required for choke control systems as well as all of the components used to control the BOP stack and associated equipment. For land applications, Cameron’s pump accumulator unit and remote control panels are designed to customer specifications. Cameron Aftermarket Capabilities TVM is not just a repair program, It is a comprehensive package of services to the drilling contractor. Through TVM, Cameron customers have a way to drive down drilling costs and be more competitive. In addition, TVM provides the customer with a single point of contact for equipment sales, repair and remanufacturing and exchange.
In any area of the world where Cameron drilling products are used, Cameron aftermarket and repair facilities are ready to respond with the most comprehensive network of aftermarket products and services available in the industry. Each of our facilities is strategically located to meet the exact needs of the customers in the area. Yet all of the facilities benefit from our expertise and worldwide communications network which links all facilities through an electronic communication system and ensures instantaneous access to information. Cameron aftermarket services include: total vendor management (TVM), spare parts inventory, repair refurbishment (RGR), BOP exchange program, field service
Spare Parts Inventory Cameron is committed to providing off-the-shelf delivery of spare parts in any location worldwide. By using genuine Cameron replacement parts, customers are guaranteed to receive the same quality and performance as when the product was new. To meet these needs, Cameron has established four worldwide stocking locations to better meet delivery requirements. Elastomers and frequently requested metal components are stocked in a temperaturecontrolled warehouse in Katy, Texas; Aberdeen, Scotland; Singapore and Abu Dhabi.
Total Vendor Management The TVM concept reflects a new relationship between equipment suppliers and drilling contractors by making cost efficiency of primary importance to both sides. The traditional seller-buyer adversarial roles are eliminated, in effect making the customer and supplier partners in cutting costs. Cameron understands this process and has more experience in successful TVM programs than anyone else in the industry. With the development of this type of long-term agreement, Cameron and the customer work together to reduce the costs associated with the design, manufacture, delivery, installation and operation of equipment required for the drilling project. TVM contract options may include: • New equipment manufacture. • Field maintenance. • Off-the-shelf delivery of spare and replacement parts. • Repair and refurbishment of used and worn equipment. • Used equipment exchange program • Re-manufactured products • Inventory management and storage of customer property.
RGR Cameron’s focus on aftermarket services includes a complete RGR program. Cameron will repair equipment to customer specifications - fit for purpose, with a reasonable price and quick delivery. Cameron’s RGR goal is to receive the equipment and do whatever is necessary to get it back in the field as quickly as possible. In addition, Cameron has embarked on a detailed engineering study to take as much time and money out of our RGR processes as possible while still maintaining the quality customers expect from Cameron drilling products. Cameron’s RGR program also includes the option of retrofitting BOPs with some of the features of more current BOP designs such as bonnet seal carriers, large bore shear ram bonnets and tandem boosters.
BOP Exchange Program For those customers looking for an economical alternative to buying new equipment or in situations where a BOP cannot be removed from service for the time required to make the repair, Cameron offers a BOP exchange program. For this program, Cameron maintains an inventory of remanufactured BOPs that met API 6A, 14th edition NACE MR-01-75 restored to like-new condition with a full one-year warranty. Customers can trade their used BOPs in exchange for a remanufactured BOP. Cameron also offers remanufactured BOPs for sale without an exchange.

Cameron Elastomer Technology CET's facilities provide "life prediction" and immersion testing. The lifeprediction testing is based on the Arrhenius principle of thermochemical reactions. Elevated temperatures are used to accelerate the thermochemical degradation of elastomer materials. Cameron employees are experts in elastomer technology and can take an idea from the testing phase through full product development. Today, there is a family of elastomer products specially formulated and designed to meet the rigorous demands of the oilfield. These products, when used in Cameron T, U II, and U ram and D annular BOPs, improve performance, extend service life, reduce downtime, and lower operating costs. CAMRAM™, CAMRAM 350™, CAMULAR™ and CAMLAST™ elastomers have set new standards in performance. Each is uniquely Cameron, including design and manufacturing. Behind each product is the absolute commitment to quality, performance and support that the industry has come to recognize as hallmarks of Cameron. An integral part of CET’s Katy facility is a temperature controlled elastomer warehouse. CET manufactured elastomer products and critical drilling metal spares are readily available to meet customer requirements.
From its Katy facility west of Houston, Texas, Cameron Elastomer Technology provides engineered solutions to elastomeric material problems. State-of-the-art research, including associated mechanical design and engineering, is conducted at this totally integrated manufacturing facility. The 72,000-sq-ft plant is designed to support Cameron Division's elastomer components and develop new products to meet the most stringent operating and environmental conditions. Cameron Elastomer Technology (CET) has extensive process development capability supported by continuing research, a comprehensive testing laboratory and engineering capability. These are combined to provide effective support for the manufacturing of an extensive line of high-performance elastomer products. CET offers molded products utilizing compression, transfer and injection molding techniques. Critical molded products are qualification-tested prior to release for production. Cold chambers and ovens are available for testing elastomers in temperature extremes ranging from -150°F to 700°F. Precise temperature control allows for exposure of elastomer components to conditions that simulate the actual service environment.

CAMRAM Products CAMRAM packers and top seals are designed specifically for Cameron ram BOPs. These new elastomer products from Cameron Elastomer Technology last longer and provide increased margins of safety in severe drilling environments than do look-alike replacement parts. That’s under all conditions — high temperatures, diesel mud and heavy stripping. CAMRAM long-life packers mean fewer problems, less downtime and better overall performance.
• Diesel Mud Resistant CAMRAM packers provide high resistance to diesel drilling muds. In field service, CAMRAM packers have performed as well in high-temperature mud conditions as conventional packers perform dry at room temperature.
• Superior Stripping/Snubbing Performance The superior elastomer material, in combination with the lipped-plate design, reduce seal extrusion and wear in stripping and snubbing service. In fact, CAMRAM packers have demonstrated a stripping capability at least three times greater than conventional packers.

CAMRAM packers made with high-temperature nitrile rubber provide a 50°F increase in the service temperature of the BOP in which they are used. CAMRAM packers have proven successful in 250°F sustained service and have withstood excursions to 300°F.

CAMRAM 350 Products • CAMRAM 350 packers and top seals have been in field use since 1985 when they were first used in Puckett, Mississippi to control a gas well blowout. SInce then, CAMRAM 350 components have continued to prove reliable and rugged in field service applications.
CAMRAM 350 packers and top seals are made with CAMLAST™ high performance elastomer available exclusively from Cameron Elastomer Technology. In addition, CAMRAM 350 packers have a patented lipped top and bottom plate design for increased service life. In addition, anti-extrusion wings have been added to the end of the packer plates to reduce elastomer extrusion at elevated temperatures. Benefits of CAMRAM 350 include:

CAMRAM 350 Packers and Top Seals Shut-In Well after 43 Days of Exposure to H2S
In actual field test conditions, the CAMRAM 350 16-3/4” x 5-1/2” 5000 psi pipe ram packers and top seals pictured at right, were successfully used to shut-in a gas well after exposure to natural gas containing 35% H2S at temperatures of 190° for 43 days. The components show negligible damage after exposure to the severe conditions experienced in controlling the blowout. CAMRAM 350 packers and top seals are made with CAMLAST™ elastomer and are intended for use to 350°F in high H2S concentrations and with water and/or diesel based drilling mud. CAMRAM Lipped Plate Design Because rubber performs best when it is under compression, Cameron's lipped-plate design provides "rubber in compression" at the wearing surface to enhance the elastomer mechanical properties as well as the seal. The lipped plate is unique because it provides stiffness in the wear direction, yet allows ample feed to the compressed rubber.
Cameron Elastomer Technology's elastomer experts have integrated a superior elastomer compound into an exclusive lipped-plate packer design that produces "rubber in compression" at the sealing surface. Cameron offers a wide range of ram-type BOPs to meet the dynamic needs of the drilling industry. The Cameron U BOP was initially designed for underwater drilling. Today, there are more U BOPs in the field worldwide than any other ram-type BOP in the industry. As technology and the needs of the drilling industry changed, Cameron responded by developing new ram-type BOP designs. Cameron introduced the U II BOP for subsea applications and has since developed the T BOP and the lightweight TL and UL models for land and subsea applications.

U BOP • Bonnet seal carrier is available to eliminate the need for high makeup torque on bonnet studs and nuts. • Hydraulically operated locking mechanisms, wedgelocks, lock the ram hydraulically and hold the rams mechanically closed even when actuating pressure is released. The operating system can be interlocked using sequence caps to ensure that the wedgelock is retracted before pressure is applied to open the BOP. • For subsea applications, a pressure balance chamber is used with the wedgelocks to eliminate the possibility of the wedgelock becoming unlocked due to hydrostatic pressure. Other features include hydraulically opening bonnets, forged body and a wide selection of rams to meet all applications. See pages 21 through 26 for rams available to fit the U BOP.
The Cameron U BOP is the most widely used ram-type BOP for land, platform and subsea applications worldwide and offers the widest range of sizes of any Cameron ram-type BOP. Like all other Cameron preventers, the rams in the U BOP are pressureenergized. Wellbore pressure acts on the rams to increase the sealing force and maintain the seal in case of hydraulic pressure loss. Seal integrity is actually improved by increased well bore pressure. Other features of the U BOP include: • Hydraulic stud tensioning available on larger sizes to ensure that stud loading is consistently accurate and even.

U BOP Hydraulic Control System Ram opening pressure opens the rams. Following ram change-out, this pressure closes the bonnets. The rams are pulled outward, near the bonnets before the bonnets begin moving toward the preventer body. This assures that the rams never obstruct the bore or interfere with the pipe in the hole. Hydraulic pressure draws the bonnets tightly against the preventer body and the bonnet bolts are reinstalled to hold the bonnets closed.
The U blowout preventer is designed so that hydraulic pressure opens and closes the rams and provides the means for quick ram change-out. Ram closing pressure closes the rams. When the bonnet bolts are removed, closing pressure opens the bonnet. After the bonnet has moved to the fully extended position, the ram is clear of the body. An eyebolt can be installed in the top of each ram to lift it out of the preventer.

Your Cameron representative can provide information on non-standard BOP assemblies. • Side outlets to 4-1/16" (7-1/16" on 26-3/4" BOPs) can be provided beneath each set of rams on either or both sides of U BOPs. Tandem Booster Part Numbers
Tandem Boosters for U BOPs A BOP equipped with tandem boosters can deliver increased shearing force while not increasing the wear and tear on the packers. Tandem boosters approximately double the force available to shear pipe. Since the tailrod of the tandem booster has the same stroke as the BOP's operating piston, the standard shear locking mechanism can be installed on the outside end of the booster. For information on lock screws and the required spacers, see pages 16, 17 and 18. For information concerning applications where a tandem booster is required, consult your Cameron representative.

Hang-Off Weights
Hang-off weights are estimated capacities with hardened top corners of the hang-off rams. This enables the rams to dig into the tool joint and provide superior hang-off capacity while still meeting NACE requirements. For variable bore rams (VBRs) and FLEXPACKER rams, hang-off weights up to 600,000 lbs on hang-off rams with a maximum pipe diameter of 5" are allowable.

Cameron pipe rams include the following features: • Cameron pipe rams are self-feeding and incorporate a large reservoir of packer rubber to ensure a long-lasting seal under all conditions. • Ram packers lock into place and are not dislodged by well flow. • All Cameron pipe rams are suitable for H 2S service per NACE MR-01-75. • CAMRAM™ top seals are standard for all U BOP pipe rams from 7-1/16” through 18-3/4” sizes. U BOP Shearing Blind Rams • Cameron SBRs can cut pipe numerous times without damage to the cutting edge. • The single-piece body incorporates an integrated cutting edge. • CAMRAM™ top seals are standard for all U BOP shearing blind rams through 18-3/4". Part numbers beginning with 644xxx indicate CAMRAM. All other top seals are standard elastomer material. • H 2S SBRs are available for critical service applications and include a blade material of hardened high alloy suitable for H 2S service. • The Cameron shearing blind ram has a single-piece body with an integrated cutting edge.
Cameron shearing blind rams shear the pipe in the hole, then bend the lower section of sheared pipe to allow the rams to close and seal. Shearing blind rams can be used as blind rams during normal drilling operations. The DS shearing blind ram can cut larger diameter tubulars or multiple tubing strings regardless of their orientation to the centerline of the ram. A blade seal between the upper and lower faces eliminates the need for moving pipe after shearing. U BOP DSI and DVS Shear Rams feature. DSI shear rams are capable of shearing tubing, small pipe, braided cable, slickline and solid sinker bar. DVS rams are similar in design to the standard shearing blind rams except that both blades are V shaped and interlocked. The DVS rams are capable of shearing tubing, small pipe , braided cable and slickline.
Dual string interlocking (DSI) shear rams and double V shear (DVS) rams are also available for the U BOP. The interlocking feature of these rams provides the capability of shearing wireline and braided cable with zero tension in the line, while still maintaining a seal. The blades are interlocked by using pockets in the lower ram and arms on the upper ram to prevent any gap between blade surfaces. One set of Cameron variable bore rams seals on several sizes of pipe or hexagonal kelly. Variable bore rams are available in the size ranges listed in the chart below. All rams listed are suitable for H2S service per NACE MR-01-75. CAMRAM top seals are standard for all U BOP variable bore rams. CAMRAM packers are available in most sizes. Packer part numbers beginning with 644xxx indicate CAMRAM. All other packers are standard elastomer material. The variable bore ram packer contains steel reinforcing inserts similar to those in the Cameron annular BOP packer. The inserts rotate inward when the rams are closed so the steel provides support for the rubber which seals against the pipe.

FLEXPACKERS for U BOPs The Cameron FLEXPACKER ram is the latest development in multiple-bore sealing. Each FLEXPACKER ram is designed to close and seal around several diameters of tubing and pipe. These packers can be used in existing Cameron BOPs. Features include: • Stacks of metal inserts bonded into the elastomer, move radially in the elastomer as the BOP rams are closed. • As rams are energized, the proper set of metal inserts is forced against the pipe. The top plate of the packer fits the largest diameter of pipe.

The hydraulic bonnet bolt tensioner eliminates frictional and torsional loads and reduces the time required for making up and breaking out bonnet bolts. • The hydraulic bonnet bolt is completely interchangeable with conventional bonnet bolts. It has a standard hexagonal head. An additional external thread mates with the internal threads in the operating head of the hydraulic bonnet bolt tensioner. The hydraulic bonnet bolt has its operating rod permanently secured in the machined hole in the center of the bolt. • The hydraulic bonnet bolt tensioner consists of a compact tensioner unit with a remote pump.

Bonnet Seal Carriers for U and U II BOPs The bonnet seal carrier is a bore-type sealing assembly which replaces the face seal used as the previous bonnet seal. Sealing capability is not dependent upon bonnet bolt torque. One seal is captured in a machined bore in the BOP body while the other seal is captured in a machined bore in the intermediate flange. The seal carrier was designed, developed and performance-verified for use in newly manufactured BOPs or as a replacement seal assembly for BOPs where either the BOP body or the intermediate flange requires weld repair on the sealing surfaces. U II BOP pressure is released. The operating system can be interlocked using sequence caps to ensure that the wedgelock is retracted before pressure is applied to open the BOP. • A pressure balance chamber is used with the wedgelocks to eliminate the possibility of the wedgelock becoming unlocked due to hydrostatic pressure. Other features include hydraulically opening bonnets, forged body and a wide selection of rams to meet all applications. See pages 31 and 32 for rams available to fit the U II BOP.
The Cameron U II BOP takes all of the features of the U BOP and adapts them for subsea use in the 18-3/4” 10,000 and 15,000 psi WP sizes. Like all other Cameron preventers, the rams in the U II BOP are pressureenergized. Wellbore pressure acts on the rams to increase the sealing force and maintain the seal in case of hydraulic pressure loss. Seal integrity is actually improved by increased well bore pressure. Other features of the U II BOP include: • Internally ported hydraulic stud tensioning system ensures that stud loading is consistently accurate and even. • Bonnet seal carrier is available to eliminate the need for high makeup torque on bonnet studs and nuts. • Hydraulically operated locking mechanisms, wedgelocks, lock the ram hydraulically and hold the rams mechanically closed even when actuating

CAMRAM VBR Packer
One set of Cameron variable bore rams seals on several sizes of pipe or hexagonal kelly. Variable bore rams are available in the size ranges listed in the chart below. All rams listed are suitable for H2S service per NACE MR-01-75. CAMRAM packers and top seals are standard for all U II BOP variable bore rams. The variable bore ram packer contains steel reinforcing inserts similar to those in the Cameron annular BOP packer. The inserts rotate inward when the rams are closed so the steel provides support for the rubber which seals against the pipe.

U II BOP Shearing Blind Rams Cameron shearing blind rams shear the pipe in the hole, then bend the lower section of sheared pipe to allow the rams to close and seal. Shearing blind rams can be used as blind rams during normal drilling operations. Features include of shearing blind rams include: • Large frontal area on the blade face seal reduces pressure on the rubber and increases service life. • Cameron SBRs can cut pipe numerous times without damage to the cutting edge. • The single-piece body incorporates an integrated cutting edge. • CAMRAM™ top seals are standard for all U II BOP shearing blind rams. • H 2S SBRs are available for critical service applications and include a blade material of hardened high alloy suitable for H 2S service. • The Cameron shearing blind ram has a single-piece body with an integrated cutting edge.

T BOP • Hydraulic stud tensioning ensures that stud loading is consistently accurate and even. • Hydraulically operated locking mechanisms, ST locks, act directly on the operating piston tailrod and are interlocked by sequence caps to ensure that locks are opened before the BOP is opened. • Bonnet studs instead of bonnet bolts reduce the need to make and break threads in the BOP body. • Most operating system seals can be replaced with the bonnet in the ramchange position without removing the bonnets. • The standard T BOP has a large enough piston area to shear all commonly used sizes and grades of drill pipe. Other features include hydraulically opening bonnets, forged body and a wide selection of rams to meet all applications. See pages 40 and 41 for rams available to fit the T BOP.
The Cameron T blowout preventer offers a unique combination of benefits, including safety, economy, reliability, extended service life, reduced height and fast and easy service. Side ram removal on the T BOP permits reduced stack height and facilitates change-out of rams and packers. Sliding the rams to the side simplifies access and handling and reduces vertical clearance requirements. The T BOP is available in a modular design which greatly reduces stack height. This design is possible because the side ram removal feature of the T BOP allows for construction of a BOP stack with virtually no extra space between BOP body cavities. Each BOP body or module has only a slightly raised face and a gasket prep. The design of the T is based on Cameron’s experience with the highly successful U and U II ram-type BOPs and combines much of this proven technology including: • Metal-to-metal bonnet gaskets increase the safety and reliability in critical service applications.

T BOP Hydraulic Control System Ram closing pressure, shown in the red on the illustration, closes the rams. When the bonnet nuts are released, closing pressure opens the bonnet. When the bonnet has moved to the fully extended position, a ram removal tray is inserted and ram opening pressure brings the rams into the clear for removal. ST locks are locked by applying pressure, shown in green on the illustration, to the ST-lock lock port. This pressure wedges a piston-like assembly into position to ensure that the rams are locked in the closed position. An option is available where the locks are also locked automatically by installing a sequence valve in the system.
The T blowout preventer is designed so that hydraulic pressure opens and closes the rams and provides a means for side ram removal. Ram opening pressure, shown in blue on the illustration, opens the rams and closes the bonnets after ram change-out. The rams are pulled outward, close to the bonnets before the bonnets begin moving toward the preventer body. This assures that the rams never obstruct the bore or interfere with pipe in the hole. Hydraulic pressure draws the bonnets tightly against the preventer body and the bonnet studs are hydraulically tensioned to hold the bonnets closed. Ram opening pressure is also used to automatically unlock the ST locks.

T BOP Shearing Blind Rams Cameron shearing blind rams shear the pipe in the hole, then bend the lower section of sheared pipe to allow the rams to close and seal. CAMRAM Top Seal
One set of Cameron variable bore rams seals on several sizes of pipe or hexagonal kelly. Variable bore rams are available in the size ranges listed in the chart below. All rams listed are suitable for H2S service per NACE MR-01-75. CAMRAM packers and top seals are standard for all T BOP variable bore rams. The variable bore ram packer contains steel reinforcing inserts similar to those in the Cameron annular BOP packer. The inserts rotate inward when the rams are closed so the steel provides support for the rubber which seals against the pipe.

Top Seal
TL BOP • 18-3/4” 15,000 TL BOPs utilize ST locks which are hydraulically operated and act directly on the operating piston tailrod and are interlocked by sequence caps to ensure that locks are opened before the BOP is opened. Other features include hydraulically opening bonnets, forged body and a wide selection of rams to meet all applications.
The Cameron TL blowout preventer is designed to meet the demand for a lightweight BOP for offshore and subsea applications. By eliminating separate bonnets and intermediate flanges, the weight of the TL has been reduced by as much as 30% compared to similar models. This is particularly advantageous on offshore platforms where weight is critical. By converting to a TL system, an operator can drill the entire well with one BOP stack replacing the old two-stack system. The design of the TL is based on experience with the U II and T BOPs and combines much of this field-proven technology including: • Side ram removal and wear pads on the bottoms of the rams. • Bonnet seal carrier which eliminates the need for high makeup torque on bonnet studs and nuts. • Bonnet studs instead of bonnet bolts to reduce the need to make and break threads in the BOP body. • Most operating system seals can be replaced with the bonnet in the ramchange position without removing the bonnets. • 18-3/4” 5000 and 10,000 TL BOPs are fitted with hydraulically operating locking mechanisms, wedgelocks, which lock the ram hydraulically and hold the rams mechanically closed even when actuating pressure is released. The operating system can be interlocked using sequence caps to ensure that the wedgelock is retracted before pressure is applied to open the BOP.
TL BOP Rams Rams available for the 5000 and 10,000 psi TL BOP include standard pipe rams as well as Cameron Flexpackers in 5” to 7” and 2-7/8” to 5” pipe sizes. Also, a DVS shear ram was developed for the TL BOP. The DVS shear ram is similar to a Cameron shearing blind ram and has two “V” blades for more effective shearing. During testing, these rams sheared 6-5/8”, 27.6 lb per foot, S-135 pipe with 2200 psi closing pressure. The 15,000 psi TL BOP uses the same field proven rams as the 18-3/4” 15,000 psi T BOP.

UL and UM BOPs The Cameron UL and UM BOPs are lightweight blowout preventers designed for easy maintenance and long life. Both designs complement the existing line of U preventers with interchangeable bonnets which can be installed on any comparable size U BOP. In addition, the bonnet of the UM BOP features full stroke operation for one-step ram removal. Other features of the UL and UM BOPs include:

DL Annular Blowout Preventer • Twin seals separated by a vented chamber positively isolate the BOP operating system from well bore pressure. High strength polymer bearing rings prevent metal-to-metal contact and reduce wear between all moving parts of the operating systems. • All Cameron DL BOPs are manufactured to comply with NACE specification MR-01-75 for H 2S service. • Packers for DL BOPs have the capacity to strip pipe as well as close and seal on almost any size or shape object that will fit into the wellbore. These packers will also close and seal on open hole. Some annular packers can also be split for installation while pipe is in the hole. Popular sizes of the DL BOP are available with high-performance CAMULAR™ annular packing subassemblies. See page 50 for information on high temperature CAMULAR products. The Cameron DL BOP is available in sizes from 7-1/16” to 21-1/4” and in working pressures from 2000 to 20,000 psi.
In the unique design of the Cameron DL annular BOP, closing pressure forces the operating piston and pusher plate upward to displace the solid elastomer donut and force the packer to close inward. As the packer closes, steel reinforcing inserts rotate inward to form a continuous support ring of steel at the top and bottom of the packer. The inserts remain in contact with each other whether the packer is open, closed on pipe or closed on open hole. Other features of the DL BOP include: • The Cameron DL BOP is shorter in height than comparable annular preventers. • A quick-release top with a one-piece split lock ring permits quick packer change-out with no loose parts involved. The design also provides visual indication of whether the top is locked or unlocked. • The DL BOP is designed to simplify field maintenance. Components subject to wear are field-replaceable and the entire operating system may be removed in the field for immediate change-out without removing the BOP from the stack.

D and DL BOP Replacement Part Kits design will fill most voids created from excessive wear and tear to the seal groove. Seal kits have been created which include all the operating system seals for the annular BOPs listed below.
For popular size D and DL BOPs, a BOP replacement part kit is available to provide all seals, bearings and scrapers required during normal maintenance. Kit parts are shrink-film packed to prevent loss and assure long shelf life and are less expensive than individual parts. All parts in each kit are identified with part numbers and parts list index numbers. As an optional replacement for the standard lip seal design, a D-shaped seal is available for service in annular BOPs that have pitted, corroded or oversized seal grooves. S/QRC and G-2 Snubbing BOPs • Safety packers seal around tubing in the well bore. Tubing can be stripped or snubbed through these packers, if necessary. • Wear insert packers are for stripping and snubbing service. These subassemblies have a wear insert which can be easily replaced to renew the packer. • Slip inserts are used to hold the tubing string after shearing or during workover operations by supporting upward and downward forces as well as torsional forces. • Wireline ram guides have hardened steel guiding surfaces and are replaceable. • No special operating system is required for shearing. • All S/QRC and G-2 rams are suited for H2S service per NACE MR-01-75.
The Cameron S/QRC and G-2 snubbing blowout preventers are used in well workover and servicing operations. S/QRCs are ram-type preventers which maintain pressure control for all types of workover wells. The Cameron G-2 BOP is suitable for wells requiring a 4-1/16" 5000 or 10,000 psi or 7-1/16" 5000 psi snubbing preventer.
S/QRC and G-2 BOP Rams Cameron S/QRC and G-2 snubbing BOPs can be equipped with the proper rams to perform a full range of snubbing preventer operations. Four types of ram bodies are available for the 4-1/16" 10,000, 15,000 and 25,000 psi S/QRC and 4-1/16" 5000 and 10,000 psi G-2 BOPs. These include blind, pipe, shear and wireline rams. Pipe rams can be fitted with safety packers, wear insert packers or slip inserts. Blind and pipe rams are available for all sizes. Features include:

CAMERON AND COOPER CAMERON VALVES TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE 1. CONTRACT ACCEPTANCE: Any written or oral purchase order received from Buyer by Cooper Cameron Corporation, Cameron Division and Cooper Cameron Valves (“Seller”) shall be construed as a written acceptance of Seller’s offer to sell and shall be filled in accordance with the terms and conditions of sale set forth herein. SELLER’S ACCEPTANCE OF THIS ORDER IS EXPRESSLY CONDITIONED ON BUYER’S ASSENT TO THE TERMS CONTAINED HEREIN. The terms and conditions of Seller’s proposal (if any) and acknowledgement shall prevail over any conflicting or different terms in Buyer’s order unless Buyer notifies Seller in writing of its objections thereto within fifteen (15) days from receipt of Seller’s acknowledgement. Buyer’s standard terms of purchase will not be considered a counteroffer to Seller’s terms and conditions of sale. The failure of Seller to object to any provision in conflict herewith whether contained on Buyer’s purchase order or otherwise shall not be construed as a waiver of the provisions hereof nor as an acceptance thereof. 2. QUOTATIONS AND PRICES: All quotations are made for prompt acceptance and any terms quoted therein are subject to change without notice after thirty (30) days from the date quoted unless specifically stated otherwise on the quotation. Any product, service capability or manufacturing capability which may be available at the time a quotation is made is subject to prior sale. Prices quoted are valid for thirty (30) days unless specifically stated otherwise on the quotation and are subject to change without notice. The price in effect at the time of shipment including any escalation formula will apply, unless a valid quotation or written agreement to the contrary exists between Buyer and Seller. All prices shown are in U.S. dollars and are F.O.B. Seller s shipping point. Any documentation pertaining to traceability requirements for raw materials or products or documentation required for any routine or special processes must be identified by the Buyer at the time of quotation (if any) or at the time of order placement.
3. TAXES:
its option and its own expense, to answer such claim or threat of suit, assume the control of the defense of said suit, and settle or compromise same in any way Seller sees fit. Other than court-awarded judgments as aforesaid Seller shall not be liable for any delays, loss of use or for other direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages incurred by reason of any such judgment. Seller does not warrant that such material or apparatus (a) will not infringe any such patent when not manufactured by or for Seller or when specially made in whole or in part to the Buyer’s design specification and such infringement arises from the inclusion of such specified design or (b), if used or sold in combination with other material or apparatus, or if used in the practice of a process, will not, as a result of such combination or use, infringe any patent covering such combination or process; and Seller shall not be liable for and does not indemnify Buyer for damages or losses of any nature whatsoever resulting from actual or alleged patent infringement arising pursuant to (a) or (b) above.
11. SELLER’S RIGHT TO MANUFACTURE: Seller in its sole discretion shall have the right to manufacture the products provided hereunder as far in advance of its estimated shipping schedule as it deems appropriate. Seller expressly reserves the right to change or modify the design and construction of any product in due course of Seller’s manufacturing procedure without incurring any obligation or liability to furnish or install such changes, modifications or improvements to products previously or subsequently sold.
12. ENGINEERING AND SERVICE: Upon request, Seller will provide engineering and/or technical information regarding its products and their uses and, if feasible, will provide personnel to assist Buyer in effecting field installations and/or field service. Any such information, service or assistance so provided, whether with or without charge, shall be advisory only. In that regard, neither Seller nor Buyer assumes any liability for the acts or omissions of the other party except as may be provided in these terms.
Any tax or other charge imposed by law on the sale or production of goods or the performance of services shall be paid by the Buyer, unless the law specifically provides that such payment must be made by Seller, in which case Buyer shall reimburse Seller for such payment as part of the purchase price. Custom duties, consular fees, insurance charges and other comparable charges will be borne by Buyer.

Shipment schedules are given as accurately as conditions permit and every effort will be made to make shipments as scheduled. Seller will not be responsible for deviations in meeting shipping schedules nor for any losses or damages to Buyer (or any third party) occasioned by deviations in the shipping schedule, whether due to Acts of God, orders bearing priority ratings established pursuant to law, differences with workmen, local labor shortages, fire, flood, shortages or failure of raw materials, supplies, fuel, power or transportation, breakdown of equipment or any other causes beyond Seller’s reasonable control, whether of similar or dissimilar nature than those enumerated. Seller shall have additional time within which to perform as may be reasonably necessary under the circumstances and shall have the right to apportion its production among its customers in such a manner as it may consider to be equitable. Seller reserves the right to furnish commercially equivalent or better substitutes for materials or to subcontract the Buyer’s order or portions thereof as Seller deems necessary. In no event shall Seller be liable for any consequential damages for labor resulting from failure or delay in shipment. If Buyer requires drawings, procedures, standards or similar material for approval, shipping schedules will be calculated from the time such approvals are received by Seller, since shipping schedules are based on Seller having all required information and a firm order from Buyer which is enterable into production. Any hold points, witness points or the need for inspection by Buyer’s representatives must be identified by Buyer at the time of quotation (if any) and/or order placement in order that the effect on the prices or shipping schedules (if any) can be taken into account. Additional inspection or testing required by Buyer which affects normal production sequence will be considered as extending the shipping dates accordingly.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, final inspection and acceptance of products must be made at Seller’s plant or other shipping or receiving point designated by Seller and shall be conclusive except as regards latent defects. Buyer’s representatives may inspect at the Seller’s plant or shipping point during working hours prior to shipment in such manner as will not interfere with operations.
5. MINIMUM BILLING: Seller reserves the right to impose a minimum billing charge on all sales, change orders or order supplements.
6. TERMS OF PAYMENT: Terms of payment for all materials and service are 30 days from invoice date, at net price, provided satisfactory credit has been established. All unpaid invoices are subject to the maximum legal interest rate per annum commencing with the due date.
7. CANCELLATIONS AND RETURNS: Purchase orders once placed by Buyer and accepted by Seller can be canceled only with Seller’s written consent and upon terms which will save Seller from loss. No products may be returned for credit or adjustment without written permission from Seller’s office authorized to issue such permission.
8. WARRANTIES: All products of Seller’s manufacture are warranted against defects of material and workmanship for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of installation or eighteen (18) months from date of shipment, whichever period first expires, when such products are used in the service and within the pressure range for which they were manufactured. In the case of products or parts not wholly of Seller’s manufacture, Seller’s liability shall be limited to the extent of its recovery from the manufacturer of such products or parts under its liability to Seller. Any repair work performed by Seller is warranted for one year from completion of such repairs and applies only to work performed. If, within these specified periods, Seller receives notice from Buyer of any alleged defect in or nonconformance of any product or repair and if in the Seller’s sole judgment the product or repair does not conform or is found to be defective in material or workmanship, then, Buyer shall, at Seller’s request, return the part or product F.O.B. to Seller’s designated plant or service location. Seller, at its option and expense, shall repair or replace the defective part or product, or repay to Buyer the full price paid by Buyer for such defective part, repair or product. Any repayment of purchase price shall be without interest. Seller’s warranty liability, including defects caused by Seller’s negligence, shall be limited to such repair, replacement or refund, and shall not include claims for labor costs, expenses of Buyer resulting from such defects, recovery under general tort law or strict liability or for damages resulting from delays, loss of use, or other direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages of any kind. Seller will not be responsible for failures of products which have been in any way tampered with or altered by anyone other than an authorized representative of Seller, failures due to lack of compliance with recommended maintenance procedures or products which have been repaired or altered in such a way (in Seller s judgment) as to affect the products adversely. THIS WARRANTY IS EXPRESSLY IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, STATUTORY OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE WHICH EXCEED THE FOREGOING WARRANTY.
9. NUCLEAR SALES: The products sold hereunder are not designed or manufactured for use in or with any atomic installation or activity. If the Buyer or ultimate user of these products intends to use them in such an installation or activity, Seller’s Nuclear Terms of Sale shall be part of and control this contract. Seller will furnish Buyer with a copy of its Nuclear Terms of Sale upon request.
10. PATENT INFRINGEMENT: Seller warrants that the use or sale of material or apparatus sold or rented by it to Buyer hereunder will not infringe United States’ patents of others covering such material or apparatus by itself, and hereby agrees to indemnify Buyer against judgment for damages for such infringement of any such patent, provided that Buyer shall, upon receipt of any claim for infringement of any such patent or threat of suit for such infringement or upon the filing of any suit for infringement, whichever comes first, promptly notify Seller in writing and afford Seller full opportunity, at

Seller hereby certifies that these products were produced in accordance with all applicable requirements of Section 6, 7 and 12 of the Fair Labor Standards Act as amended and of regulations and orders of the United States Department of Labor issued under Section 14 thereof.
15. TITLE: Title to the products sold hereunder passes to Buyer upon payment of the full purchase price.
16. TRANSPORTATION CHARGES, ALLOWANCES, CLAIMS: All prices are F.O.B. Seller’s plant or other designated shipping point. No freight is allowed unless stated in Seller’s quotation (if any) or in a written contract which may exist between Seller and Buyer at the time of shipment. If Seller’s quotation or a written contract states that all or a portion of freight is allowed, all prices are F.O B. Seller’s plant or other designated shipping point, with most economical surface transportation allowed. If the quoted or contractual price includes transportation, Seller reserves the right to designate the common carrier and to ship in the manner it deems most economical. Added costs due to special routing requested by the Buyer are chargeable to the Buyer. Under no circumstances is any freight allowance which is absorbed by Seller to be deducted from the selling price. If the quoted price or contract includes transportation, no deduction will be made in lieu thereof whether Buyer accepts shipment at plant, warehouse, freight station, or otherwise supplies its own transportation. When sales are made from the Seller’s warehouse, Seller reserves the right to charge either actual or pro-rated freight from Seller’s principle point of manufacture to Seller’s warehouse. Buyer assumes risk of loss upon delivery to the carrier, regardless of who pays shipping costs. Seller endeavors to pack or prepare all shipments so that they will not break, rust or deteriorate in transit, but does not guarantee against such damage. Unless requested in writing by the Buyer, no shipments are insured by Seller against damage or loss in transit. Seller will place insurance as nearly as possible in accordance with Buyer’s written instructions but in such case Seller acts only as agent between the insurance company and the Buyer and assumes no liability whatsoever. Any claims for shipping loss, breakage or damage (obvious or concealed) are Buyer’s responsibility and should be made to the carrier. All claims regarding shortages must be made within thirty (30) days from receipt of shipment and must be accompanied by the packing list(s) covering the shipment.
17. CONSULAR INVOICES: Consular fees for legalizing invoices, stamping bills of lading, or other documents required by the laws of any country or destination are not included in quotations or selling prices. If instructed in writing, Seller will make arrangements for consular documents and declarations as agent of the Buyer, but Seller assumes no liability whatsoever as a result of making such arrangements. Seller assumes no responsibility for any fines or other charges imposed due to errors or incorrect declarations.
18. INDEMNIFICATION AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: A. INDEMNIFICATION: Seller agrees to indemnify Buyer and hold Buyer harmless against any claims, demands or causes of action for property damage or personal injury (including death) caused by the negligent act or omission of any employee, agent or subcontractor of Seller and not contributed to by the negligence of Buyer, its employees, its agents or any third party. Seller shall not be responsible for the acts and workmanship of employees, agents, contractors or subcontractors of Buyer or any third party, nor for failure or malfunction of any tools, materials, equipment, products, supplies, facilities or devices not manufactured and supplied by Seller. Buyer agrees to hold Seller harmless from any and all losses, claims, or damages arising from subsurface damage, surface damage caused by subsurface damage, loss of hydrocarbons and from pollution, regardless of whether such damages, losses or claims were caused by the negligence or sole negligence of Seller, it being the intent of the parties that this indemnity shall apply to property of Buyer or to that of any third party. B. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL SELLER BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF ANTICIPATED PROFITS, LOSS OF USE OF EQUIPMENT OR OF ANY INSTALLATION, SYSTEM OR FACILITY INTO WHICH SELLER’S EQUIPMENT MAY BE LOCATED OR AT WHICH SELLER, ITS AGENT OR SUBCONTRACTOR MAY BE PERFORMING WORK. Seller’s total responsibility for any claims, damages, losses or liabilities arising out of or related to its performance of this contract or the products or services covered hereunder shall not exceed the purchase price.
19. MODIFICATION, RESCISSION & WAIVER: The terms herein may not be modified or rescinded nor any of its provisions waived unless such modification, rescission or waiver is in writing and signed by an authorized employee of Seller at its office in Houston, Texas. Failure of Seller to insist in any one or more instances upon the performance of any of the terms and conditions of the contract or the failure of Seller to exercise any of its rights hereunder shall not be construed as a waiver or relinquishment of any such term, condition, or right hereunder and shall not affect Seller’s right to insist upon strict performance and compliance with regard to any unexecuted portions of this contract or future performance of these terms and conditions. All orders must be accepted by an authorized employee of Seller. The rights and duties of the parties and construction and effect of all provisions hereof shall be governed by and construed according to the internal laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes which arise under this agreement shall be venued in the District Court of Harris County, Texas or in the Southern District of Texas.
