a 1900 MHz Panel Antenna

Features • High pattern stability over entire frequency band • 100% IM testing • Superior vertical pattern shaping for interference reduction • 100% verified for vertical pattern performance • Mechanical design allows for thermal expansion • Aesthetically pleasing

Design Philosophy Our Metro panel antenna is designed and manufactured by a repeatable procedure, which allows the product to pass stringent electrical testing in production in its “as built” configuration. The 1900 MHz panel antenna has a robust mechanical design, which does not rely on the radome for support. The radome, which is only used for weatherproofing, is set inside the endcaps and allows for thermal expansion.

Quality Materials Proper use of materials and their structure ensures performance integrity. In antennas the electrical performance is directly related to mechanical performance. The choice of radome material is crucial since it acts as a window between the radiating elements and the coverage area. Our UV stabilized PVC radome is resistant to moisture absorption. Furthermore, our radomes can withstand mechanical stresses, even at low temperatures and long exposure to UV radiation. For corrosion inhibition, we use aircraft quality aluminum alloy that is inherently resistant to corrosion caused by the environment.

Performance The Allgon 1900 MHz panel antennas have verified vertical pattern performance on 100% of the antennas. Given the narrow mechanical width and depth of the product, the offerings are unmatched in Front-to-Back Ratio for all opening angles. The 1900 MHz panel antenna has consistent reliable performance from frequency to frequency and product to product.

Brackets Bracket hardware for the 1900 MHz panel antenna is made of only the highest quality aircraft aluminum and galvanized stainless steel, and is available in non-tilt and mechanical tilt for mounting to a pipe. The 1900 MHz panel antenna can also be flush mounted with tilt or panning. For more information, please see page 67.

Testing Allgon prides itself on stringent testing requirements with conservative, yet realistic claims of the performance of our product offering. For more information on testing procedures, see page 68. Our front-to-back ratios are specified for ±20° from 180° (worst case) to 0°.

800 MHz Allgon Log Periodic Antenna

Features • Industry norm • Wide band performance covering iDEN™, AMPS, CDMA 800, TDMA 800 • Proven 10 year track record • Workhorse of the cellular industry • World-class manufacturing • Problem-free design • Trail blazer of front-to-back • Used as the F/B figure of merit • Used in : Europe, Asia, North America, Central America, and South America.

Design Philosophy Our log periodic is designed in a highly repeatable process that is so precise that absolutely no tuning is required. No adjustments are made because with Allgon quality built in by design, no adjustments are necessary. For long life and problem free performance, Allgon uses a robust mechanical design. Two high strength plates of aircraft quality aluminum are fastened together to form an extremely rugged package. The mechanical strength is independent of the radome, which acts only to physically protect and form a weather shield for the elements.

Testing Allgon prides itself on stringent testing requirements with conservative, yet realistic claims of the performance of our product offering. For more information on testing procedures, see page 68. Our front-to-back ratios are specified for ±20° from 180° (worst case) to 0°.

Performance The Allgon Log Periodic is known to be the most consistent performing antenna on the market today. While others have only a select few models with high Front-to-Back, Allgon’s high Front-toBack ratio is exhibited over a complete selection of gains and azimuth opening angles.

Brackets Bracket hardware for the Allgon Log Periodic antennas is made of only the highest quality aircraft aluminum and galvanized stainless steel, and is available in non tilt and mechanical tilt for mounting to a pipe. For more information please see page 67.

Quality Materials Proper use of materials and their structure ensures performance integrity. In antennas the electrical performance is directly related to mechanical performance. The choice of radome material is crucial as it acts as a window between the radiating elements and the coverage area. Our UV stabilized PVC radome is resistant to moisture absorption. Further, our radomes can withstand mechanical stresses, even at low temperatures and long exposure to UV radiation. For corrosion inhibition, we use aircraft quality aluminum alloy that is inherently resistant to corrosion that might be caused by the environment.
