Introduction • OverDrive System helps to expand capabilities of your top drive and use it’s rotational power for tubular make ups

• OverDrive System completely replaces conventional set of casing running equipment (elevator, slips, power tong, fill up & circulation tool, weight compensator)

• Incorporated swivel allows string rotation and push down casing while running, circulating, reciprocating or cementing

• Integrated TorkSub measuring shaft gives more precise torque readings

Currently OverDrive systems successfully supports only one offshore project on Piltun platform with Sakhalin Energy Company



9 wells completed, 24 casing jobs totally without serious incidents or NPT



Casing sizes from 18-5/8” to 5” , sections lenghts up to 4000 meters



20 persons qualified to operate the system (10 Sakhalin personnel, 10 continental Russia for future projects)

Safety (reduced crew size, no personnel on rig floor, less manual operations) in severe northern conditions



Abilityy to get casing to bottom mitigating formation hazards



It turned out that OverDrive operations are faster than conventional comparing with Sakhalin Energy twin Lunskaya platform in spite of the fact that speed was never high importance criteria for choosing this system



Three occasions when OverDrive System was utilized to rotate the string in order to pass tight spots. Absence of system would lead to casing pulling out, serious NPT figures and unplanned costs
