In fact, we made our first foray into the business in the early 1970s. Since that time we have diligently expanded our portfolio through a combination of acquisitions and internal growth.

HellCat™ 2 hydraulic-set production packer provides single-trip speed and efficiency for intelligent completions.

We offer a range of flow-control tools and systems comprising downhole barrier valves, check valves, packer setting valves, fluid loss valves, and sliding sleeves for a variety of applications, including coiled tubing, slickline, multizonal, electric submersible pumps, sand control and multilaterals.

VooDoo™ valve offers a simple, reliable method for testing the tubing and setting packers without intervention or restricting the well ID, which reduces risk and saves rig time.

Weatherford’s Uniset® flow-control system optimizes premium completion designs. Each type of flow control accessory—plugs, equalizing assemblies, anti blowout devices and standing valves—has been integrated into an intervention system that maximizes the efficiency of every flow-control deployment.

Uniset® tubing hanger profile allows installation of tubing hanger plugs or back pressure valves for Christmas tree installation and temporary wells suspension.

Splice sub contains and protects spliced connections of control lines in a multizone intelligent completion.

Chemical injection mandrel receives chemical-injection valves, thereby enhancing production, remediating corrosion effects and prolonging completion life.

In only five years, Weatherford has grown to be the third largest supplier of safety valves. We recently shipped our 2000th safety valve.

Optimax™ tubing retrievable surface-controlled subsurface safety valve provides a selfequalizing emergency safety barrier while allowing bypass of hydraulic control lines, injection lines, and instrument cables.

OptiSleeve™ non-elastomeric sliding sleeve isolates producing zones during installation of inner string.

Barrier plug isolates and temporarily suspends the outer string, latched as the intermediate string is run through the liner top.

EXR hanger/packer allows single-trip running, setting, and expansion of sand control completion.

Weatherford has more than 40 years’ experience in providing packer systems and completion

ThunderCat™ packer provides zonal isolation with one-trip setting with no rotation or reciprocation of the tubing string; ideally suited for deep, high-pressure completions.

ROSS/ROSS V sliding sleeve

Weatherford’s intelligent-well competency combines optical sensing technology and hydraulically actuated flow control systems. This combination enhances reservoir management and optimizes production.

ROSS® remotely operated sliding sleeve/ROSS V remotely operated variable sliding sleeve allows alterations to the completion in response to changing reservoir conditions without wellbore intervention; provides open-close or variable functionality to control production from the two reservoir intervals.

Beyond the intelligent-well application shown here, we have packers available for other demanding applications, such as subsea completions, deviated and horizontal wells, zonal isolation—as well as electric submersible pumps and other artificial-lift systems.

Weatherford offers a full suite of in-well permanent monitoring systems including optical sensors, flow meters, distributed temperature sensing and seismic, along with our conventional electronic quartz and strain gauges.

Optical P/T gauge mandrel permanently monitors tubing and annulus flowing conditions to inform production and reservoir management decisions.
