It is a further development of the well-known PRIMATOP range of flats progressively set without straight gaps between the rows of teeth. This setting pattern favours the extraction of short fibres and trash as well as the elimination of neps. The newly developed setting pattern influences the so-called free passage

resulting in a improved distribution of the carding forces and a positive effect on the positioning of the teeth. The resist-O-top is set more densely in the exit zone in comparison to the PRIMATOPrange. The wire number for all types is chosen with a difference of 5 numbers.

PRIMATOP    The PRIMATOP is a range of flexible flexible flat clothings clothings intended for the processing of cotton and man-made fibres. The density is progressive, i.e. the entry side, seen in the direction of the material flow, is open and becomes continuously narrower towards the exit side. PT 43/0 and SPACETOP are set with card wire with a difference of 4 numbers.

SUPRATOP   SUPRATOP is a flexible flat clothing without any straight gaps used for the processing of  man-made fibres. The setting pattern positively influences the parallelism of the fibres and the elimination of melted fibre particles.

intended for the processing of cotton and manmadefibres. These flat clothings with straight gaps, diagonal setting pattern and a difference of 5 numbers in the wire is particularly suitable for application on cards without stationary flats above the lickerin and medium production ranges.

DIAMANT DIAMAN T / PICCO-D PICCO-DIAMANT IAMANT DIAMANT and PICCO-DIAMANT are semi-rigid flat clothings for the processing of man-made fibres as well as bleached cotton and rayon. The special tooth position results in only minimal waste. The tooth points of the PICCO-DIAMANT  range undergo additional side-grinding leading to increased carding performance as well as extended life time.

METALLIC TOP  The M-TOP is a metallic flat clothing for the processing of man-made fibres and regenerated fibres. Compared to conventional flat clothings it is designed to withstand highest carding strain and is most suitable for high production rates.

C-Cleaner II

C-Cleaner II, Systems of

Stationary Flats and Pre-Opening Segments

One of the deciding factors for increased production rates with equal quality or else improvements in quality with equal production rates on today’s generations of high production cards is the application of additional carding elements. Older types of cards can be easily retrofitted with such carding elements with a minimum of effort. GRAF has been manufacturing the C-Cleaner II for years already and at the same keeps improving its design. The stationary flat clothings, made from our CUTTY-SHAR CU TTY-SHARP P alloy guaran guarantee tee long lifetime ifetime and the straight forward replacement of the clothing strips.

Hardened mote knife

Hardened mote knife for

lickerins and points of trash extraction

It is well known, that the edges of the mote knifes of Rieter,  Trützschler and Crosrol high production production cards become become worn and blunt relatively quickly. This has a detrimental effect on the trash extraction, the flat clothings are subject to additional strain and the quality of the card sliver suffers.  This prompted us to manufacture manufacture these mote knives in hardened hardened execution. The knives are specially laser-hardened (in order to maintain their straightness). Laser-hardened refers to only the edge of the mote knife being laser-hardened.

PRIMACOMB PRIMACOMB, High Performance Circular Comb for RIETER Combers  The high performance circular comb was was developed in years of research and in close co-operation with RIETER. It permits an optimum combing process on all RIETER combers which, based on the excellent results, are initially equipped with PRIMACOMB.

Further development development of the well proven PC 7015. Improved arrangement and distribution of tooth points in the four sections. Increased number of points per square inch in the 3rd and 4th section. Conical in-feed, specially designed under consideration of the new technology on the E65 and E75 combers. Subsequently it is possible to achieve equal quality at increased production rates or else improved results at equal production rate with 90° combing surface as with circular combs with 111° combing surface on older combers.

Top Comb Top Comb GRAF Ri-Q-Top® For today’s generation of high performance combers the demands have increased on the two key elements in the combing process, i.e. the circular- and the top combs. It is only as a result of the particular configuration, precision and subsequent finish of these main parts that the known increase in production rates at equal or improved technological values could be realised.

For this reason GRAF, in close co-operation with RIETER, has developed a new top comb with the aim to substantially increase the cleaning intervals.  This top comb ideally complements the well known PRIMACOMB circular comb and stands for best yarn values in the combed range.
