[email protected] At the end of the 2013, a lady brought me the horoscope of her mother and wanted me to read the same to know about the present health condition of her mother, who was hospitalized at that time for treatment for a pain in throat and difficulties of swallowing food. Further she said that the doctors had conducted several investigations, but neither conclusion nor diagnosis not yet been made. Birth details are as below: Mrs. Sriyani, 28 Feb. 1960, 06.09 am, Mirigama Govt. Hospital, Western Province, Sri Lanka, 07N15, 80E08, Asc. Aquarius 10:17:35, Jupiter Vimshttari Mahadasa Balance 02Y, 06M, 13D, KP New Ayanamsa 23° 12' 38" , calculated by KPAstro 4.1 As the request is for bad health, I started the chart reading from the Lagna Sub Lord, by taking into account the health rule of Sri C. R. Bhatt in his "Horoscope and Diseases", page 81. "If the sub lord of the Asc. be the significator (i.e. in the star of the occupant or owner) of the house 6 (sickness) or 8 ( danger to life) or 12 ( hospitalization), it is not good for health." As per the attached natal chart, the Ascendant sub lord is Jupiter, the lord of houses 2 & 11, located in 10th house, in Sagittarius a sign of its own, in the star of Kethu and in the sub of Rahu. Neither sub lord Jupiter itself nor its star Kethu or sub Rahu are direct significators of the said houses 6, 8, 12 as in the above rule. Since Rahu and Kethu are shadowy planets, it is a must to scrutinize the behavior of these nodes to come to a conclusion of Lagna sub lord Jupiter. Being having no rulership for any sign, nodes firstly act as the representatives of the conjoined planets and secondly for the aspecting planets and next act for the owner of the signs which they are placed, according to KP rules for Nodes. Here in this natal chart, Kethu is very closely conjoined with Mercury, the lord of 5 & 8 and with Moon, the lord of 6 and acts as agent for Jupiter (1-10,2,11) the sign lord. The sub lord Rahu has any conjunction but aspected by the depositor of opposite sign Moon and Mercury who are connected with Kethu, and also by Saturn (11-12,1-5,7). Thus the Lagna sub lord Jupiter is connected with 6, 8, & 12 and also doubly effected by the nodes, which directly signify 2 & 7 (Maraka houses) as well as life saving house 11 by Kethu. The sub lord of the 6th cusp is Venus, the lord of 9 (Badhaka) and 4 (End of Life) is in the star of Moon, lord of 6 (sickness) in Lagna (Self). Sub of Venus is Saturn, the lord of Lagna and 12th house. In KP, if the sub lord of the 6th cusp is a significator (i.e. in the star of the occupant or owner) for 6 or 8 or 12 and connected with 1, the native may suffer from diseases during the sub period of the sub lord of 6th. So the fundamental rules of KP are agreed with the chart under study for a disease in all aspects. The sub lord of 6th cusp is connected with Saturn, making the native's health condition chronic. Further its sub Venus is closely conjoined with Mars, which shows the condition is acute. cated. As well Kethu is conjoined with above Moon and Mercury and hence the disease remains undiagnosed. So I had to go for further steps to find out any hint about the nature of the disease. Maraka and Badhaka (a) Lord of 2 (Maraka) is Jupiter in 10th house, under the rules of Kethu and Rahu as star and sub. Jupiter is also conjoined with Saturn, significator of Maraka, Badhaka and 12th houses. Kethu is similar to Mars and has become a disease maker, in conjoining with Moon. Rahu, being an agent for Mercury is connected with 7 and 8 and aspected by the 6th lord Moon. (b) Lord of 7 (Maraka) is Sun in Lagna, in the star of above said Rahu and in the sub of Venus in 12, lord of Badhaka 9. So Lagna is adversely influenced by the Sun by occupation and 12th and Maraka, Badhaka significator Saturn by 3rd aspect. Bhatta page 63 Further more in this study I found that the planets responsible for the illness of this native are connected with Cardinal houses i.e. Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn. First cardinal house Aries, where the 3rd house located is under the rule of Mars, Venus & Moon. The Moon is the lord of next cardinal house Cancer (6th cusp) and connected with Venus. Libra the third cardinal house is ruled by Venus as the owner and 6th sub lord. The last cardinal house Capricorn is the place for 12th, where two cardinal lords Venus and Mars are tenanted. According to these configurations I could see a clue about the disease as a malignant and cancerous. Again when scanning the chart the depositors of 12th, Venus and Mars, which represent cardinal houses, are the lords of 3 & 4 which denote the breast of the native. The 3rd is under Mars, Venus, Moon and 4th is under Venus, Moon, and Jupiter. Jupiter is responsible for malignant growth with disease makers Moon and Venus. Also Uranus in Cancer, produces ulcers in breasts and abnormal growth. Finally, on the basis of the following findings, I came to a conclusion that the native was suffering from breast cancer, and informed the situation to the lady on the 13 Dec. 2013. The KP disease finder 6th cusp sub lord Venus (breast) signifies 6 (disease), 12 (hospitalization), 7 (Maraka), 9 (Badhaka) and 4 (breast); 6th cusp and 6th cusp sub lord are connected with Moon (4th sign Cancer ruler) and Saturn (painful, mostly lethal disease) by their rulers of sign, star and sub; In addition 12th and Maraka, Badhaka significator Saturn is conjoined with 2nd Maraka lord Jupiter (expansion of growth) in 10 (ineffective medication) in Jupiter sign Sagittarius; 6th lord Moon (breast cancer karaka) is conjoined with serious disease 8th lord Mercury in Jupiter sign Pisces, opposing Rahu (malignant type of growth like cancer) in Maraka 7th, and Venus (breast) is also conjunct with Mars (karaka for breast gland, malignant growth causing serious disease like cancer) in 12th house. Longevity 1st & 8th Sub Lord Jupiter (10--2,11); Aspected by Moon ( 1-6); Star Kethu (10-1-2,11--); Sub Rahu ( 1-7-7--) 1st cuspal sub lord signification of favorable house 1, 11 along with unfavorable house 2,10,6,7 indicated the longevity of middle age. The native was passing her 53rd year of age. According to the death rule of KP, when the longevity is at its end, Maraka and Badhaka significators are come to effect during the last period. At the time of the analysis, the native was under Venus Maha Dasa (1-Self. 12 - Hospitalization/Moksha/ Renunciation, 6 - Diseases, 4 - End of Life, 9 - Badhaka, 8 (Aspect - Danger to Life) and in the sub period of Rahu (1 - Self, 7 - Maraka). Since period rulers are indicators of life threat, I concluded that the disease would be incurable and life of the native is in danger. After 4 days of my analysis, by a scanning the doctors had found that she was suffering from a breast cancer, which was spread up to stomach and attacked Esophageal too. According to medical surgeons there had not been any chance even for a surgery to remove damaged areas. It was too sad to hear her demise on the 15th Jan. 2014. On the day of her death the main period ruler Venus was transiting over the star of Kethu in 2 Maraksthana and in the sub of the natal 8th lord Mercury. Sub ruler Rahu was transiting in 8th house over the star of Moon and sub of Venus, main period ruler. The luminary Sun was transiting over Mercury star and Moon was transiting over Sun's star in 7 Maraka. In addition to the analysis above, one more point to ponder is that this chart can be considered as a Kala Sarpa Yoga horoscope with all the planets posited between Rahu and Kethu, according to some schools of astrology. Some can say that the reason for such a tragedy faced by the native is due to evil effects of such Kala Sarpa Yoga. But it is worth to note that unless and until one makes an overall assessment of all planets and cusp, he cannot come to such a conclusion only through single yoga. On the other hand, no reference of KSY can be found in any classical text even from very olden days in the history of Astrology. This unproven KSY cannot be considered as a rule of thumb, similar to any other rules and hence in KP, it is not considered at all. KP is the correct way of diagnosis of any ill-health condition.
