Taxi and when clear of obstacles

Give update on dep. briefing as needed

Condition / Location

Call: “BEFORE TAKEOFF checklist” Do BEFORE TAKEOFF checklist Prior to lining up Switch seat belt: off/on Verify cabin is secure takeoff Lining up rwy end / intersection

Answer: “checked”



Update fmc position if required



Strobe and req. lights: ON

Takeoff Setting thrust for take off Advance T/L to app. 40% N1 Allow engines to stabilize Push TOGA switch “Set takeoff thrust” Verify thrust is set Verify thrust is set Answer: “Takeoff thrust set” Monitor engine instruments during the takeoff. Call out any abnormal indications.

Adjust takeoff thrust before 60 kts as needed



During strong headwinds, if thrust levers do not advance to planned takeoff thrust, manually advance the thrust levers.



After takeoff thrust is set, the captain’s hand must be on the thrust levers Until V1.



Monitor airspeed, maintain light forward press. On control column

monitor airspeed and call out any abnormal indications

Speed: 80 Kts Call: “80 knots” Verify 80 kts, call: “Check”

At 1.000 feet Agl

Check TMD

Call: “Set flaps up speed” Set flaps up manoeuvring Speed, and call: “flaps up speed set” Verify acceleration Call i.e.:” Flaps 1” Select flaps 1, call: “Flaps 1 selected” Flaps indicates as selected

Call: “Flaps 1 set”

After flaps up selection complete Call for pitch mode i.e.: “VNAV”

Call: “Flaps up, no light” Answer: “VNav selected”

Engaging autopilot

Answer: “Checked”

i.e.: “engaging autopilot B”

Verify autobrake operation If autobrake disarm light on, call: “Autobrake disarm”

Without delay, move the reverse thrust levers to the interlocks and hold light pressure until the interlocks release. Then apply reverse thrust as needed.

By 60 kts

Start movement of the reverse thrust levers to be at the reverse idle detent before taxi speed.

After engines are at reverse idle

Move the reverse thrust levers down

Call: “60 kts”

Disarm autobrakes. Use manual brakes Before taxi speed
